CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK UNIVERSITY: As BLACK HOUSING VALUES INCREASE, Setting The Stage For "INTER-GENERATIONAL WEALTH CREATION" - The Reparationonomic Operatives Ta-Nehisi Coates And ToneTalks Do Not Have A Model When Today's REALITY Confounds Their 'Historical Housing Racism' Narrative

IT IS IMPORTANT TO SET THIS UP.

In the view of 'Constructive Feedback University' - Kasim Reed as "Mayor Of Atlanta" is the PERFECT REPRESENTATION of the "Black Progressive Municipal Politician Of The Future":

  • HE IS A POLITICIAN - so he is adept at making his constituents happy
  • HE IS BLACK - so he knows the importance of FRONTING in support of "POPULAR BLACK POLITICAL ISSUES" - while realizing that "POPULAR" has nothing to do with 'PERMANENT INTERESTS'
  • WHEN A FELLOW 'CONFEDERATION OF PROGRESSIVE NATIONALIST FACTIONS' member has a beef with 'Black people' - HE KNOWS that he can perform an act that has MEASURABLE DAMAGE upon the Black community (ie: the "Who Told You Are Naked" / Black Male Purpose" fiasco ) and depend upon the 'Mentholated Black Media' narrative to MISINTERPRET what really happened 
When confronted with two MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE POINTS:
  1. POOR BLACKS seeking to protect their homes and communities from 'Gentrification' due to their lack of economic leverage
  2. WELL OFF YOUNG PROGRESSIVE PROFESSIONALS (of all races) are driving the market demand for HOUSING, RETAIL , RESTAURANT space and are driving into areas that were previously looked at as:
    • Too Black
    • Too Poor
    • Too Violent
TO HIS CREDIT - Reed knows that a "CITY WITH A FLOURISHING GENERAL FUND" can provide more services, in line with his agenda, THAN A BANKRUPT CITY with leadership that "Played To Their Poor Constituents".   (And YES this IS "Mutually Exclusive" as a crisis point comes to a head between these two constituencies)

KASIM REED created a $5 Million PRIVATELY FINANCED:  "Help Poor (Blacks) Pay Their Rising Property Taxes Due To Gentrification" Fund.

Keep in mind - the very same people who oppose 'Charter Schools' because private funding sources also expect to 'Get Their Money Back' - are suspiciously silent on this latest scheme.

THE REAL PROBLEM - which manifests itself as large swaths of POOR BLACK COMMUNITIES that do not have economic leverage to brush back the targeted real estate purchases in their communities is the fact that THE 'HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTIONS (AND CULTURE)' that SHOULD HAVE PROVIDED THE PROMISED UPWARD THRUST - instead became a pure political opportunist scheme.   Thus they are focusing on "Taking The 6th District For The Progressives" - KNOWING that their poor Black constituents aren't going anywhere and ARE ALSO HOPING to make Georgia a "Blue State" - REGARDLESS OF THE STATE OF THEIR BLACK COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.

This is the foundation that you must have in mind as you read Mayor Reed's plan to expand his private funding.

KEEP IN MIND - NOT ONE PERSON HAS ASKED HIM:  "FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW - WHERE IS THE MONEY THAT YOU PROMISED FOR YOUR 'FATHERLESS BLACK HOMES INITIATIVE"?

Property taxes within a half-mile of the Beltline’s southwest development increased almost 59 percent between 2011 and 2015 compared to a 32 percent increase for southwest Atlanta houses farther away from the trail, the study found. Immergluck completed when the study while still at Georgia Tech, his former employer.
“We like the hype of the Beltline, but there is a downside to it,” Immergluck said.
In addition to raising private donations, Reed said he also is considering instituting restrictive covenants. Such covenants, which put restrictions on land use and value, have been challenged in state courts over the rights of landowners to control property as they see fit.
“What you really need is a restrictive covenant around the Atlanta Beltline, which I think is justified by the enormous public investment,” Reed said. “The challenge is you have state laws that really prevent your ability to have price controls in Georgia.”
Reed said the city also will have to continue to seek out federal, state and private partnerships meant to address affordability, such as a $30 million grant the city received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in 2015 to revitalize portions of west Atlanta.
FOLLOW THE LOGIC
  • A GOVERNMENT INCREASES YOUR PROPERTY TAXES - causing more economic street on YOU and your poor neighbors
  • THE SPOKESMAN for this GOVERNMENT tries to set the narrative of YOUR CRISIS by pointing to 'Predatory PURCHASERS' who he says are coming into your community offering to purchase your house at a price that is below your market value (but higher than what YOU have in mind)
  • THE GOVERNMENT acknowledges that its INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, while needed and justified, IS GOING TO PUT ECONOMIC STRAIN UPON the poor
  • THE GOVERNMENT links up with PRIVATE and CORPORATE DONORS to fund a FUND that PAYS YOUR PROPERTY TAXES - that YOU PAY TO THE GOVERNMENT 
    • The GOVERNMENT knows that TAX LIENS are a common away that POOR PEOPLE LOSE THEIR HOUSES.
WHO IS ULTIMATELY PAYING THIS MONEY:    CORPORATIONS AND WEALTHY PEOPLE WHO DO NOT LIVE IN THE COMMUNITY AND WHO ARE DOING IT AS AN 'OFFSET' FOR ADVANCEMENT OF THEIR INTERESTS IN OTHER AREAS

WHO IS RECEIVING THIS MONEY:  THE CITY OF ATLANTA GOVERNMENT'S TAX COFFERS

WHAT DID THE "GENTRIFIERS" DO:   LEVERAGED THEIR ECONOMIC ADVANTAGE TO PAY THE 'NEW MARKET PRICE' TO ACQUIRE A FORMERLY 'UNDERCAPITALIZED PROPERTY' LOCATED IN A NEWLY DESIRABLE AREAS

WHAT DID THE POOR RESIDENTS WHO USED THE 'ANTI-DISPLACEMENT FUND' FUNDING DO:  They are "House Rich" but remain 'Economically Poor'.  After more than 50 years of the LOCAL POLITICAL ESTABLISHMENT convincing them to AGGREGATE THEIR 'BLACK VOTES' in the fight against the 'White Right Wing In The State Government' (with the promises of bringing home 'THEIR FAIR SHARE OF TAX ALLOCATIONS' - their ability to REMAIN IN THEIR OWN HOUSES, INDEMNIFIED FROM THE ECONOMIC AND DEVELOPMENT WHIRLWIND THAT IS OCCURRING AROUND THEM - DID NOT COME FROM THE 'ELECTORAL INVESTMENTS' THAT THEY MADE (THE FIGHT) BUT FROM "THE BENEVOLENCE OF THE 'HOME DEPOT BILLIONAIRES' (The enemy that THEIR BLACK CIVIL RIGHTS LEADERSHIP has picked fights with upon each and every 'land grab' for DEVELOPMENT that has transpired in 'Under-Developed Communities' in the pat 25 years in Atlanta (since I have had first hand observation)


AFTER DECADES OF 'INVESTING THEIR BLACK VALUABLES' INTO THE CURRENCY OF THEIR 'BLACK VOTE' THAT SENT 'BLACK PROGRESSIVE ACTIVISTS' INTO THE GEORGIA STATE LEGISLATURE TO FIGHT THE 'WHITE RIGHT WING ENEMY' WHO THEY WERE TOLD WAS BLOCKING THEIR 'FAIR SHARE' VIA 'PROGRESSIVE PUBLIC POLICY'.......END THE END - THIS IS THE FACE OF THE 'ANGEL INVESTORS' THAT CAME INTO 'VINE CITY / WEST END' TO SAVE THE HOMES OF 'POOR BLACKS' - WHO WHERE LEFT UNDER-DEVELOPED.  THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS WHO THEY AS BLACK VOTERS PUT INTO POWER ARE THE ONES PLACING THE 'PROPERTY TAX LIENS' THROUGH WHICH THEY LOSE THEIR HOMES




QUESTION:  IF you were made to believe that this 'Government Voice" was your VESSEL through which you could fight your ENEMIES IN GOVERNMENT - what is the construct by which you MEASURE HIM as 'friend or foe', other than realizing that YOUR MISTAKE WAS TO LIVE (racially and ideologically) VICARIOUSLY THROUGH HIM?

IRONY OF ALL IRONIES:  "THE HOME DEPOT BILLIONAIRES' - the #1 enemy in the largest fights in the past 20 years - WILL NOW BE PAYING THE PROPERTY TAX BILLS to FULTON COUNTY so FULTON COUNTY GOVERNMENT does not place a tax lien on the property


INTERGENERATIONAL WEALTH CREATION- WITHOUT "THE G.I." 

I notice that - (far too frequently recently) - when I am in a face to face group of BLACK PEOPLE who "Think DEMOCRAT" their "Gotchas" almost ALWAYS are targeted to "White People" generally and "White Republicans" specifically.

When I spout out MY INTERPRETATION - it is usually based on the "OPPORTUNITY COST SUFFERED BY BLACK PEOPLE as a consequence of becoming so SPIRITUAL FUSED TO AMERICAN POLITICS.

With this in mind I would like to highlight the snippet from the story about - which focused on PRICE CONTROLS.

We should note that when the 'When Affirmative Action Was White' / 'Ta-Nahisi Coates Reparations Article' / 'Tone Talks 'DATA'  - all point to how PAST WHITE HOUSING SEGREGATION LIMITED BLACKS FROM ACCESSING 'APPRECIATING REAL ESTATE' - they point to this PAST RACISM as the cause of TODAY'S "MASSIVE RACE WEALTH GAP".

In the above story - THE KEY POINT DRIVING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR HOME ARE "THEIR INABILITY TO PAY THEIR SKYROCKETING GOVERNMENT PROPERTY TAXES".

IF YOU DO NOT MOVE - your INCREASING HOME VALUE in and of itself is not going to push you out of your house.

  1. You have to MOVE (Sell your house) in order for this new market price for your house to be manifest
  2. You could take out a "Home Equity Loan" by using this spread in the home value increase
  3. BUT AGAIN - the ONLY element that changes when your property value increases is your property taxes

WHY AREN'T WE DISCUSSING HOW EXISTING BLACK HOMEOWNERS BENEFIT FROM "INCREASED INTERGENERATIONAL WEALTH" as their APPRECIATING HOME VALUES provide the current' generation's owner a LARGER NEST EGG to provide for his children?
