I Support The Philadelphia Soda Tax - As A Legitimate Means Of Raising Money For Philadelphia Public Schools

A Local Group Of Voters, who possess a State Chartered School District, and are responsible for Funding the operation of the schools, have the right and the obligation to use taxes to raise the revenue.

When given the choice I would prefer to see the City Of Philadelphia to enact a soda tax over the notion of 'using' their residents in a never ending political campaign for power in Harrisburg - by dangling the promise of some future 'Adequate State Funding' for education - but ONLY if they keep marching outside of Philly to fight their political adversaries.

Ironically - though few will admit it for ideological reasons - the mass influx of new residents who are occupying new construction is fortifying the tax base for the city.
