How Does What We Heard During Black History Month Comport With What Was Said Into The Microphone At The "Urban Institute" Forum?
I get the feeling that those who believe they "OWN" the "Black Historical Grievance" and "The Black Struggle" have no problem BOTH - "Making a detailed list of the pain that Black people have suffered historically" AND "Tell us that during a recent interval of time - IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE!".
The reason why they can be so blunt and forthcoming (even IF they are a present occupant of a seat in power) - is for one single reason: THE AGGRIEVED don't see them as PART OF THE PROBLEM. "The Least Of These" see them as THEIR VOICE - speaking truth to power FROM THE VANTAGE POINT of the "Seat Of Power" that THEY voted them into and/or who lobby (inside or out) against the real ESTABLISHMENT.
As you attempt to wrap your head around the logic and sanity of how so much "happiness in VICTORY" had by the "Americanized Political Black", despite his enumerated pain - you will endlessly frustrate yourself if you attempt to affix these emoted admissions to any hint of FUTURE DENIAL of that which was so PLEASURABLE AND AGREEABLE to Black people - but which - AS IS READILY ADMITTED - has failed to produce the PROMISED RESULTS.
Their own reasoning made to themselves is clear.
"The Enemy" still lurks outside of their congregation.
What they did thus far has indeed been successful in its own right. The fact that they stand together strong as a congregation, not splintered - allowing the enemy to have his way with them - is PROOF that their course is correct - and that there is more "Progressive Struggle" in front of them - before they can translate their congregational agreement into MEASURABLE RESULTS - thus the conditions 50 years hence are not "Worse".
NO ONE WILL GET FIRED, REGARDLESS.
(You all will grow to appreciate my "models". I am one step head of the presentations given at the microphone).

She does not plan to lead a class action lawsuit against the company that sold "The Blacks" the diet plan at a great profit margin.
