A Black Atlanta Police Officer Shot In The Face On "Rev Ralph David Abernathy Blvd"

The First Black Policemen - Hired For The City Of Atlanta

  • Where not allowed to arrest White civilians.  Were required to politely ask that they "Wait right here" while a White officer with the ability to make arrests on everyone came to the scheme to adjudicate the situation
  • They were not allowed to use the APD Police headquarters as their locker room, instead using the Butler Street YMCA
Yesterday's prime threat of "Systematic White Supremacy" that stifled the "Black police man" is long gone.

A critical portion of the young men in the community who suffer from benign neglect within their own community aren't positioned to become "enforcers of the law".  Instead they are the prevailing forces that threaten the community - drawing the police - who some say are "the occupying forces" - to conduct "aggressive policing", thus triggering the other problems that result in protests.

Today: All Police Officers Bleed Red, Attesting To The "Equal Human Being" Underneath The Uniform

blax News Extra:    Civil Rights Pharisees Of Metro Atlatna Inc Place Call To Thomas Perez - Assistant US Attorney On Civil Rights:

Press Statement:

While we are saddened to see a Black police officer who is a rookie to the Atlanta Police Force and who has full rights to arrest anyone, regardless of their race - as we take credit for this progress in this "City Too Busy To Hate" - we must stand on our moral principles which tell us that:
SHOOTING AN OFFICER IN THE FACE DURING A FOOT CHASE IS NOT GROUNDS FOR THE ATLANTA POLICE TO BEAT UP A SUSPECT AS THE PICTURE INDICATES.

We are happy that the Black cop who got shot in the face did not shoot the fleeing suspect in the back.  We will factor this in to our planned meeting next week with the "Jackpot Justice Attorney" who we will choose via our internal lottery drawing from those who have contributed to our "Social Justice Fund".

We ask that our friend, the US Assistant Attorney for Civil Rights Thomas Perez look to see if these scars of this 20 year old Black male's face will ever heal as he did not deserve to get beat up by the Atlanta Police.

We must "Speak Truth To Power", letting them know that we won't tolerate our people being treated as such - even if the Police Chief and Mayor are Black and we suggested that if Black people don't vote for them - that "Shirley Franklin would be the last Black mayor of Atlanta".  We said that at the time because we knew that it would have the prescribed effect upon the Black voters, just as we are doing right now.

THIS IS A PICTURE OF THE SHOOTER - NOT THE COP

(Note: Blax News does not have any "JOURNALISTIC STANDARDS".   We KNOW THE BASTARD IS GUILTY OF SHOOTING THE COP so we don't call him "The Alleged Shooter". )

Officer Robinson is a kind thoughtful compassionate man. Y'all don't know him as I was blessed to. He was so excited to serve people as well as protect. He wanted to make a difference ...especially in young black men lives by leading by example. Frankly I don't give a rats arse about the suspect. What I want to know is Where Was The Officers' Feild Training Superior Officer?!?!!! This good man was only 2months out of the academy!!! What the heck is Ape doing to their Rookies!!!!!!!Where's the Black Govt Leaders in giving Apr the mentorship to their black and white police rookies. He should have had a FTO but APD has not enough experienced senior officers to work with all the new rookies they are hiring. There will be more stories like this one if APD can't keep...pay...update training to senior officers and keep them on payroll!!! If your a black man thinking about joining APD at this time...Be READY TO GET THROWN TO THE WOLVES
