The Local Muckraking News Organizations - The Transparent, Effective Governance Organizations For The Protection of The Communities Valuables

Atlanta News, Weather, Traffic, and Sports | FOX 5

Some of you don't live in Metro Atlanta so you can't see how upon the attainment of the nominal attributes of "The Struggle" - in this case "Favorable People In Power" - DOES NOT translate into "Prosperity For The Black Community".

I will even go so far as to say that the "Embedded Confidence Men" who are seeking profit - KNOW that you have a "Reparations Spirit" within you.  As a result you are more prone to see this CBS news muckraking report as an attack on "Black owned businesses" and "Black elected officials" rather than a CHECK upon "unchecked government power".

While listening to the radio in Philly several years ago I heard a Black caller say, point blank - "Back in the day when THEY (Da White Man) was stealing from the government they didn't have a problem.  Now that WE are doing what they have always done - now its a problem".

This Negro is the best friend of the "Embedded Confidence Man".  Despite the fact that WE won't see a penny of this money - he chooses to live vicariously through the intricate scheme that he is tacitly endorsing.

Such a statement is an attack on so many of the attempts by the 'Civil Rights Movement" to bring transparency and inclusiveness into government and corporations.  Instead it shows that for many people THE POWER TO BE CORRUPT is the only thing that matters.

I am quite aware of how back channel networks of influence peddlers work.  I am not naive enough to believe that this will ever be fully controlled.

At the same time such a scheme requires that the "rank & file" citizens of the city forego their interests in having the city negotiate for the best possible deal in support of its own interests - for the sake of putting "favorable people in power" as contractors.

We saw that during the administration of Mayor Bill Campbell the closed group of "Minority Contractors" that he had chosen were actually "Pay To Play" pawns.  When the larger group of MINORITY COMPANIES that were attempting to get business but were shut out saw the racket - they began attacking the spoils system.   The rest is history.

The bottom line is that corruption - even when given a "black face" coating is still corruption.
