Few of the Black people who have a particular consciousness about themselves will note that the primary means for Michelle Obama's DREAM to have other little Black boys motivated by seeing a "Black man in the office of the US Presidency" is for them to express another round of CONGREGATIONAL UNITY and to INVEST their "Equal Black Ballots" into the offering plate once again.
This vision from the First Lady along with statements made by a Black Christian Preacher on Fox News who made that case that, more important than the rising Black unemployment rate is the "positive imagery of a Black family in the White House", serves to place into the mind of Black folks the notion that there are certain forces in the spiritual world that are more important than statistics which convey the present condition of your community, in the context of 50 years of investment.
I am not asking Black people to change their vote. This is a forgone conclusion for most. The preacher on Fox News guaranteed to the White Conservative Wolf who he was speaking to that 90% of the Black vote is already spoken for and I don't doubt him.
My point is for my people to note that when there is a core set of justifications that a politician CAN'T point to as the reason for the Negro to invest their vote into them once again, they begin to talk about the "Pride" and "Motivation" and "Vision of seeing a BLACK FAMILY in Office". When that VISION comes from a member of that same "Black Family" or when a Preacher tells of how EXCEPTIONAL it is to see an "Intact Black Family" as a role model - it is time for those of consciousness to begin to ask: "WHY is it that there are so few model 'Black family' in existence (per their own claims) by which we should be drawn to them as such an exception? MIGHT THIS VERY POINT be the reason that our imagery and hope has not translated into greater fortune on the streets?"
When I listen to this "transference and obfuscation" I am made to recall that at each rung of "Mission Accomplishment" the Black community was asked to envision having a FAVORABLE PERSON IN POWER:
- On the home owners association
- At the local church
- On the School Board
- On the City Council
- In The Mayor's Office
- On The County Board
- In The State Lower House
- In The US House Of Representatives
- As A State Senator
- As The City Council President
- As A US Senator
- As The Majority In The State House
- As The Majority In The State Senate
- As The Majority In The US House
- As The Majority In The US Senate
- As The President Of The United States
- AGAIN As The President Of The United States - With The Hopes Of Putting One More Progressive Supremacist On The US Supreme Court and executing a More Black Progressive Radical Agenda in his Second term. (This As AMERICA would show that it is RACIST for running a Black man out of office after only one term)
Sadly - the Negro LIKES TO BE SOLD with "Self Chum".
He already knows the flavor that he likes the taste of. The most EFFECTIVE speakers that stand before him are the one's that MOVE HIM into action by latching an UNMET, PSYCHOLOGICAL aspiration inside of our consciousness with the desired agenda item of the speaker.
Few of the "Negroes with Religiosity" that stand before the First Lady of the United States in Nashville at the AME conference would bother to challenge her own church attendance and her doctrinal acumen, beyond the fact that an expert speech writer - with the same sense of appeal to the audience as her dress designer - penned a point of emphasis for her to throw out to get the crowd riled up.
The White man is not the only guilty party in his use of Christianity to achieve the goals of his own self interest.
This young Black lad would have also reached up and touched the "First Black President's Head" but for the Secret Service that did not pat him down beforehand.
YET as we move away from the various propaganda pictures that are published to "Motivate Negroes" - the SCHOOL SYSTEM that this young Black male likely needs far more assistance than what a motivational scheme can produce in results.
I assure you - as it is not presently happening- that NO BLACK PRESS operative will bother to make measure of what the Black community PURCHASED with "Yes We Can", 4 years ago, as they too still dream of being in the room with the President Of The United States and touching his head.
* Malcolm X
* W.E.B. Du Bois
* Martin Luther King
* Sojourner Truth
* Mary McLeod Bethune
* Marcus Garvey
* Booker T Washington
* Frederick Douglass
* A Portrait Of Ida B Wells
* A Portrait of (in my opinion) Richard Allen of the AME Church
* President Barack Obama
While all of those historic figures FOUGHT AGAINST the power of the United States of America that was trampling Black people - ONLY ONE MAN featured in this portrait expressed the INFLUENCE to compel the Negro to remain relatively SILENT about the Exploits Of The United States Of America and about their present "Misery Index" after so many years of investment - BECAUSE by them talking it would surely harm his reelection chances.
Once you all see that the Black community does not have a POLITICAL PROBLEM.
That the Black Community has a problem with the PSYCHOLOGY of UNMET WANTS AND NEEDS and a problem with INSTITUTIONAL INTEGRITY ENFORCEMENT then we can get to providing solutions.
Your view that I AM NEGATIVE is merely in reference to the offense received per YOUR PRESENT CONSCIOUSNESS.
If any other force motivated you in a confidence scheme to TAKE YOUR VALUABLES - repeating what they DID SERIALLY over the past 45 years and a voice came out to REMIND YOU about your past - he would be considered a "Consumer Adviser and Activist".
The ONLY reason why you take comfort and take offense in the way that you do presently is because of YOUR OWN CONSCIOUS AFFILIATIONS, which defend the OFFENSES that you react to and the OFFENSES that you stay silent upon, because your team in the "Malcolm X Political Football Game" might lose.
Would Malcolm X be invited to the White House today or is he too much of a controversial figure and thus must be relegated to imaginary "fusions" on the Black Canvas that you paint?
