The Black Consciousness In America Attempts To Find Its Way As The Ghost Of One Of Its Hollywood Greats Speaks From The Grave

Hattie McDaniel

"......and to think that they used to call me an 'Aunt Jemima sellout' for playing the role of an uneducated servant with her hair wrapped in a scarf........"

At Least I went down in the history books as the first Black to win an Oscar

[/BLAX] NEWS FAKE QUOTING SERVICE
As they live in the world today that other Black actors and I have paved the way for them to exist in, they are unconscious about the unbearable amount of oppression that we had to suffer from.  The "Hollywood Machine" had a view of Black people that echoed what the racist White majority in the nation thought of Black people.  Instead of fighting the system from the ground up the best that we could do was to accept menial roles, play them with as much dignity as possible, with the faith that one day THE UNTHINKABLE would happen:  Black people would be provided with more than 300 channels of cable television to choose from and will OWN and CONTROL the images of Black people that are projected into the media for the entire world to see.  Our people will get paid enormous sums of money as the world gets to finally be treated to the true character of Black people.  We will finally dispense of the slanderous, molested image of the Black man and woman that the racists in Hollywood dispenses.

Little did I know that the present day Negroes would leave Hollywood and go to Atlanta and New York to cut a fool.  They removed the $3 head scarf that I used to wear during my day and are now wearing an Indian hair weave that they paid $2,000 to some Korean to purchase.

And they call ME an "Aunt Jemima"?
