Any living being that stands between himself and the "booty" that he wishes to steal is subject to being fatally immobilized.
It is better to give him your phone and file and be alive to file a police report and then an insurance claim with Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, or MetroPCS for replacement of your hardware and a credit for any "data overages" that the Street Pirate ran up between the time he stole your phone and you got a chance to terminate your service.
