Victory Of The World Church: Is The Funeral Shoot Out A Sign That Rev Samuels Should Focus On "Conflict Resolution" Among His Flock Rather Than Taunting Conservatives For Opposing Gay Marriage, To The Delight Of His Congregation?

Hey wait a minute.   I remember that face.
Rev Dr Kenneth Samuels.

That's the reverend from a few weeks ago that lauded President Obama's "bold proposal" to radically alter the assumption of marriage in our society.   I noted that the centerpiece of his argument is that the "RIGHT WING" would stand opposed to such a move.   Dr Samuels understood what his congregation needed to hear to fortify his agenda, no different than what the Mayor of Philadelphia understood his flock.

Past Southern Regional Chaplain of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Past Chair of the United Way Ministerial Campaign, and Past President of the DeKalb County, Georgia Branch of the NAACP. Additionally, Dr. Samuel has been elected as a Georgia delegate to the last four Democratic National Conventions.

Dr Kenneth Samuels Loses His Television Broadcast For Supporting Gay Marriage without finding a reference to where "Jesus" would have supported Gay marriage.

Score one for Atlanta's WATC, Channel 57 for INSTITUTIONAL INTEGRITY ENFORCEMENT.

They told Dr Samuel that he can INTERPRET what Jesus said all that he wants to from HIS pulpit.  He is just not going to be allowed to "update Jesus" from THEIR broadcast slot.

Washington Post 2006 - Black Gays Ask Clergy For Tolerance Feb 2006 - Black Church Summit Takes Stand Against Anti-Gay Discrimination Sanctified Church Revolution ATLANTA, Jan. 21 -- Churches have an obligation to help end the "poisoned atmosphere" surrounding the acceptance of gay men and lesbians, the Rev. Al Sharpton said at a weekend summit organized by a national black gay rights group. The group invited religious leaders to brainstorm ways to get their message of tolerance across to clergy, who are some of the most influential figures in black communities. Several portrayed it as a civil rights issue. "Our dialogue is the possibility of being acknowledged, loved and accepted. It can happen," said Donna Payne, vice president of the National Black Justice Coalition, composed of black homosexual, bisexual and transgender activists. Sharpton, a former Democratic presidential candidate, said Friday that black church leaders need to acknowledge that homophobia affects everyone's civil rights. "You cannot talk about civil rights and limit who's included," Sharpton told about 150 people at First Iconium Baptist Church. THESE ARE POLITICAL OPERATIVES in the Pulpit people!!! "Keep Your Enemy On Trial" without having to affirm the competency of your own position is the standard fare. On the other side of the divide are reactionary sections of the Black clergy that have close connections with and backing from powerful Christian fascist forces--and these forces have their man in the White House. In the midst of his 2004 re-election campaign, Bush called for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, claiming that such an amendment was needed to "protect marriage." This was not simply some mindless Bushism (as if same-sex marriage somehow threatened heterosexual marriage) but a calculated move to pander to and mobilize an audience--including among Black people--that views the world through the prism of Biblical literalism and sees gay marriage and homosexuality in general as an attack on their core values and institutions, with the traditional family at the center. And there were significant forces within the Black clergy that did get mobilized by Bush's move to use the issue of gay marriage. As the SF Chronicle noted, "In San Francisco, a city known for its acceptance of gay and lesbian people, a coalition of African American pastors condemned same-sex marriage during the 2004 presidential election." In Atlanta, the pastor of a suburban mega-church led a march of 10,000 in support of Bush's proposed anti-gay marriage amendment; among the marchers was Rev. Bernice King, the youngest child of Martin Luther King Jr. (Meanwhile King's widow, Coretta Scott King, had taken a stand in support of the right to same-sex marriage.) These developments have given rise to a sense of urgency among people like those at the Black Church Summit. The National Black Justice Coalition said that "The summit is a direct response to anti-marriage proponents pandering to the black church for their own agenda."  They want you to talk POLITICS so that you never get around to talking about their INCOMPETENCE at governing the Black Community.

The NAACP Needs To Purchase A Copy Of The "SIMS" Game And Forced To Change From Cherry Picking To Community Governance

On the drive home today, after watching the voice of the NAACP make his case on "Democracy Now" I was saying to myself that the NAACP would benefit from "The SIMS" game.

"The SIMS" is ultimately about "Opportunity Cost".   While it allows you to design the type of community of your own choosing, it quickly shows you the COST and CONSEQUENCES of your decision to expressed "benign neglect" upon important societal matters that reside beyond your COMPETENCIES.

I then got home and saw the news that 4 people had been shot at a local funeral, two of them killed and I doubled down upon my view on that it is the problems that reside in the "dark matter zone" which most impacts the Black community yet goes functionally unchecked.

I am not surprised that my subsequent research on Dr Kenneth Samuels details his resume of HARD LEFTIST associations that have shaped his present views.

The way things work with the present prevailing consciousness of the Black community - Dr Samuels' commit toward SOCIAL JUSTICE and all things associated with "sugar and grace" are to be attributed to "The Lords Work".

However, the resulting problems that sprout up within the Black community as their viewpoint becomes "the last man standing" within the community is rarely attributed to any INCOMPETENCE on their part in governing the human resources within that same community.

This viewpoint seeks to retain their moral authority based on a streaming set of EXTERNAL INDICTMENTS against the "authorities" that are failing to do their job in protection of the congregation.   At no point do they see themselves as "the authority" in the local context, which should be held accountable for the failure that they wish to attribute to an authority greater than they.
