The "show" that was put on by Michael Eric Dyson and Russell Simmons - in the studio of "The Ed Show" the other day still is troubling me.  (NO not enough to displace the disruption that the antics by the Mayor Of Philadelphia done in West Philly has caused me, but close).

To hear Black people partition other Blacks by their SLAVE BLOOD is enough for me to look past their skills at elocution or their millions made by making music and fashions that appear to the present prevailing consciousness among Black people and the broader society - and instead consider that their core is one of ignorance and unconsciousness about themselves.   I don't care how much yoga one claims to do.

Their joint conclusion that the word "Nigger" is to be held for the exclusive use of those people who have "Slave Blood" in their veins is IGNORANT.   It is little different than the "How Many Bubbles In A Bar Of Soap" subjectivity that other bigots used as a filter to only allow individuals of their own liking to pass through.

If we analyze the antics of MEDs and Simmons we see that they have it all wrong.   They have set up a construct by which THE BLACK COMMUNITY issues a warning to WHITE FOLKS, telling them "Hands Off" the word that they said that WHITE FOLKS created to injure Black people with.

With the insertion of the intellectual Rube Goldberg argument that today "Black people and 'Hip Hop Voice Of The Street Pirate' Rappers have taken in the word and made it a term of endearment - these two who are articulate but ignorant seek to provide a pass for what we all know is the truth:

• While the Present Prevailing Black Consciousness and associated "Struggle Motion" has the means by which to protest to get external political / corporate and ideological enemies "To PAY" for their injury to the Negro's ego.............................
• THERE IS NO MECHANISM by which those who are otherwise IN GOOD STANDING WITHIN THE BLACK COMMUNITY (and/or who are of the VICTIM STATUS) to be reprimanded into compliance with the standard of operations and behavior

Today's prevailing "Black Consciousness" is a POLITICAL CONSCIOUSNESS.  

With the fact that so much of our community governance has been outsourced to the hopes for POLITICAL ADVANTAGE - it stands to reason that in this calculus - there is a priority placed on those who have a strong public brand to be forgiven IF they bring home more political fortune to the Black Community - in the context of this prevailing consciousness.
