Before We Can Properly Assess Progressive-Fundamentalist Rep Keith Ellison's Words Said In His Interview We Must First Index What NPR Host Michel Martin's Views On "Progressivism" Are

I do not include NPR radio host Michel Martin in my "Paid Blacks In The Media" analysis.   Though she is no doubt a Progressive, her years of journalistic experience seems to dominate her personal ideological center-point - on most occasions.

In the interview below we have Mrs Martin interviewing yet another hard-left liberal and we see that it is a fairly "comfortable interview".

Yet again we hear her trademark use of the phrase "The Other Side Would Say..........." as a means of putting out a hypothetical challenge to a progressive guest, allowing him to respond.

My problem with this interview is that Mrs Martin allowed Rep Ellison get on his "Progressive Soap Box" and rant - as he (and she) PRETENDED that his words are untethered to some tawdry truth about the places where "Progressive-Fundamentalism" stands unchallenged by the "Koch Brothers" from afar as the Right-Wing opposition that had been their bete noir' has packed up and left town.  As such we see that in places like Detroit that are crumbing the progressive voices of the people have shifted their fight to the "Wall Street Banks" and "State Republicans".   At no time do they look into the mirror and note that THEY ARE NOW THE ESTABLISHMENT IN THESE PLACES.

I don't expect Rep Ellison nor the Mayor Of Philadelphia to render such a "Self Breast Examination".  THEY ARE POLITICIANS after all. Their goal is to set a narrative for the people and retain their power by getting reelected.

This is where the close collusion of the so-called "Black Press" comes in.  In as much as it is necessary to put aside their own personal ideological preferences and stand in defense of the people, they too often are used as official media staff members for the "Favorable Progressives In Power" - ACCEPTING THE NARRATIVE made by the "Favorable People In Power" and propagandizing it into the Black Community.

It is essential to understand that the Job #1 of today's "Black Press" is to FEED the Present Prevailing Black Consciousness in America.   NEVER does it CHALLENGE this entrenched set of thoughts with the question:  "  Is This Present Body Of Thought Within The Black Community COMPETENT To Lead Our People Up To The Next Rung Of DEVELOPMENT?".

In as much as the "Mission Accomplished Cites" that Rep Ellison and other Black Progressive Elected Officials are run by people who the Black community has voted into power - the Black Press operative understand that for them to being to muckrake with the goals of OPENING THE EYES OF THE PEOPLE regarding how they must demand a RETURN ON INVESTMENT from what they where originally sold upon as they fused their "Black Community Development Consciousness" in with this present regime that is in power - they understand that they would have to GO AGAINST THE "BLACK RACIAL SERVICES MACHINE" - which they are a part of - in order to stand IN DEFENSE OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY'S PERMANENT INTERESTS.

So many of the regulations and transparent reporting requirements that they desire for banks and (opposition) governments are desperately needed within the ranks of "Mission Accomplished Zones".    I have noted that in many of these places that are the pride in the eye of the Black Racial Services Machine due to the slate of favorable power (Newark, Atlanta) - it is the LOCAL MAINSTREAM NEWS ORGANIZATIONS that function as the 'Civil Rights Organizations' for Black people.   The "Civil Rights Pharisee" organizations are too interested in avoiding publicly undercutting their progressive friends to stand up for the people in regards to standard administrative incompetence that leads to the people getting the run around.

The news story of today is that "Black Progressive Run cities" offer no respite to these frustrations.    Only the "Black Press" does not aggressively go against those that they helped elected into power - as they understand that by going to hard against them in the name of "Social Justice" - they risk making the "Republican crow" that is watching all of this from his perch in the tree happy.   The result of this is many spiked stories or a rebuttal to the mainstream news media once a PATTERN of "criticizing Black elected officials" is detected by the cataract-impaired eyes of the "Civil Rights Pharisee groups" that are watching it all play out.

What Is Michel Martin's Assessment On The Success/Failure Of Progressivism?

Earlier this week when the news that an HBCU had opened a "LGBT Student Center" - Michel Martin noted that this was a "PROGRESSIVE" move the part of an HBCU.  The guest affirmed that since many of the HBCU's have a legacy affiliation with the Black church the conservative social mores have often spilled over onto their views on "Gay Rights" issues.

From this reference it is clear that to Mrs Martin the term "Progressive" has an overwheling positive and affirming reference.  I get the picture that it carries the flag of "Justice - for the Excluded Least Of These" - as it marches against close-minded, conservative territory that is hostile to its very essence.

I noted in the past that I have never seen Mrs Martin react in an instinctively defensive manner to ANYTHING any progressive has said to her during an interviewer.   When "Whitopian" Rich Benjamin -a Black progressive-fundamentalist, who later revealed himself as a gay man did an interview with Mrs Martin in which he proclaimed that he would refuse to go to any "straight marriages" until he and his boyfriend is able to get married in any of the 50 states - Mrs Martin gave no hint that she believed that this was a RADICAL attack upon traditional male/female marriage or any of the physiological inferences that one can make about the proper paring of two human beings based upon their respective complementary human forms.

Surely I would be going to far to assume that Mrs Martin would adopt my argument, based upon my observations that "The Progressive Is INCOMPETENT To Address The Far, Far, Far Larger Issue Of How The Steep Decline In The Formal Relationships Between Male And Female Has Had Measurable Detrimental Impact Upon Our Society, Especially The Black Community".

It is my contention that for Progressivism to be taken seriously it must move from a transaction oriented "struggle" that makes use of EXTERNAL INDICTMENTS to advance its incrementalism - over to a full-body scheme in which a society can remain productive and healthy  if it becomes "the last man standing".

We only need to inspect Rep Keith Ellison's key talking points to understand my observation that "PROGRESSIVISM IS INORGANIC".    Despite the fact that it has made massive headway in taking over the "Mission Accomplished Cities" it has FAILED to act as if it was the ESTABLISHMENT AUTHORITY within the said boarder.

Instead it seeks to do as Mr Ellison was heard proposing - NATIONALIZE.    The goal of "Nationalized Social Justice" allows operatives like Keith Ellison and PPPP Minster Sharpton  to evade scrutiny on the conditions of "Back At Home" as a prerequisite for them receiving credibility in the forward march.  Their goal is 'Congregational Unity" among the grieving masses.   As with any effective Progressive politician - they have the gift of timing as they note that just as the "rank & file" starts grumbling about their present condition, their job as "confidence man leaders" is to levitate off of the stage and lead them on a PROTEST STRUGGLE against the closest ESTABLISHMENT FIGURE that they can get the masses to focus their angst upon.

The strange thing that one notices about the protest route is that the Elected Official/Lead Struggler -always seems to pick a route via "Google Maps" that bypasses his own office.

Worst yet is that the Progressive Press never seems to carry their own GPS unit or install an independent mapping app on their iPhone or Android smartphone as they march along with the crowd - taking pictures of "The Occupation".

I wonder if Mrs Martin will ever get to the point in which her knowledge of the conditions of:

  • Detroit
  • Chicago
  • Cleveland
  • Milwaukee
  • Buffalo
  • Newark
  • Camden
  • Philadelphia
  • Baltimore
  • Washington DC
  • Atlanta
...................in the places where the Progressives run their most successful "Equal Black Ballot Harvesting Operations" are also the places that Rep Ellison's hyper focus on THE KOCH BROTHERS falls short of an explanation of the FIX for these places, after a nearly 50 year run of Progressive Domination over the "Human Resource Development Institutions".

The question, therefore, that I ask to Michel Martin is:

Are You Promoting PROGRESSIVISM Or Are You Promoting The DEVELOPMENT OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY VIA THE EFFECTIVE GOVERNANCE OF THE INSTITUTIONS WITHIN?

Though these two are not necessarily mutually exclusive, TODAY - Within The Black Community the level of corruption as seen in the "Black Community Conscious Attention Filibuster" has it that our people are more ensconced with their loyalties in the "Malcolm X Political Football Game" than one can prove the interest in EFFECTIVE GOVERNANCE - as we plot out how the year 2112 will be substantively different than is 2012.

The Constant Progressive Struggle
Note: I have initiated a research project on the (greater) Minneapolis area where Rep Keith Ellison represents the interests of the people in the US House.    I will make a more comprehensive posting at a later date.

The goal of the diagram to the left is to provide the structure to the analysis of Rep Keith Ellison and "Progressivism" that his arguments were not confined into during the above interview.

It is in the interests of the Progressive-Fundamentalist to ensnare their base into a "Permanent Struggle", with as little structural discipline as possible.

By promoting the notion of "Nationalized Social Justice" and concepts of a UNIFIED, INCLUSIVE "Struggle" - they define a narrative by which they are seen as the forces of "good and enlightenment" against the forces who seek to resist change - in defense of their ill-gotten gains.  (You know - kinda like what Rep Ellison said in the second part of his interview when he was allowed to rant, unchallenged, because his words were pleasing to the interviewer's ear).

I have stated many times before that the two tools necessary to bring to a debate with a Progressive Fundamentalist is a TIME LINE and an GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION TOOL.

As we see with Keith Ellison - he has no intention of restraining himself to the element of "time" by which those who are scrutinizing what he and the "Progressive Caucus" is selling today - against what "The Least Of These" have already purchased and now has stored in their closets as evidence of their past complicity.

Rep Ellison's district is not the standard urban dystopia landscape where desperation rules and Ellison is the voice of the downtrodden.   The 5th District is relatively prosperous with a median income of $41,569 (according to Wikipedia).

The district is dominated by Progressives.  With a Cook Partisan Voting Index of "D+23" coupled with Minneapolis' city council stocked full of 12 Democrats (Democratic Farmer Labor auxiliary) and one Green Party member - there is hardly a right-wing threat around to speak of.

This is why Mr. Ellison must stand one up to fight against.   He found one in "The Koch Brothers".

From Wikipedia
Minneapolis is a stronghold for the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), an affiliate of the Democratic Party. The Minneapolis City Council holds the most power and represents the city's thirteen districts called wards. The council has twelve DFL members and one from the Green Party. R. T. Rybak also of the DFL is the current mayor of Minneapolis.

Unfortunately - (again my preliminary research) - the Black community in greater Minneapolis suffers from the same type of challenges that other collections of Blacks face in less "Progressive" areas around the nation.

From Wikipedia

  • About 44% of students in the Minneapolis Public School system graduate, which ranks the city the 6th worst out of the nation's 50 largest cities.
  • Racial and ethnic minorities lag behind white counterparts in education, with 15.0% of blacks and 13.0% of Hispanics holding bachelor's degrees compared to 42.0% of the white population.
  • The standard of living is on the rise, with incomes among the highest in the Midwest, but median household income among minorities is below that of whites by over $17,000.
  • Regionally, home ownership among minority residents is half that of whites though Asian home ownership has doubled. In 2000, the poverty rate for whites was 4.2%; for blacks it was 26.2%; for Asians, 19.1%; Native Americans, 23.2%; and Hispanics, 18.1%

My primary challenge to Mr Ellison AND Mrs Martin is for them to AFFIRM the presupposition that "Progressivism DEVELOPS 'The Least Of These' instead of merely 'Feeding Them', allowing them to live UP TO a desired standard of living via 'Nationalized Social Justice".

It comes as no surprise to me that Rep Ellison is heard promoting one of the primary Progressive-Fundamentalist boogie men (the Koch Brothers) as he leverages his youthful experiences in Detroit, his social advocacy from his former law practice and his father's past NAACP related activism.

I would be more interested in having Rep Ellison explain why his "Anti-War" legislative actions and his motivations to hold executive branch officials IN CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS - have suspiciously STOPPED since January 2009.

Did the wars stop then?
Did the contemptuous behavior of government officials stop?

OR,as I suspect did "SOCIAL JUSTICE" enter into office and thus Rep Keith Ellison begin to go on "Defense" in the Malcolm X Political Football Game.

I only wish that Rep Ellison get me some evidence that he has driven legislation to defund DRONES, which are firing missiles into Muslim nations.   I would personally update his Wikipedia page with these "Social Justice Anywhere" activities of his.
