(White) Police Officer In Dekalb County Under Scrutiny For Kicking A Pregnant (Black) Woman In The Stomach

A Pregnant Woman With A Bruise On Her Stomach?  - Never a good thing for career purposes, Officer Wheeler.

My opening line is - I am glad that the baby was born - without having suffered any ill-effects from the encounter.

I also say that - No man should physically assault a woman, much less a pregnant woman.

I must also say - A lady should not place herself in a situation in which a physical response is necessary from a male, much less a police officer

I conclude by saying - all of the ADULTS involved in the situation - including the relative of the pregnant woman who was tazered - should try in earnest to conduct themselves in a manner by which the situation does not escalate, unnecessarily.

It is in the escalated state of conflict that these incidents occur.

More damning, however, is the Mau Mauing that will no doubt take place.
I assure you that before the day is out someone on Black-wing Grievance Talk Radio will say: "We must show them that THEY can't abuse OWN women!!  What kind of depraved mind would strike a pregnant Black woman - unless he was charged with patrolling that which he hates?"

Dekalb County Georgia is indeed a "Mission Accomplished Zone".

Those who live in metro Atlanta have a unique opportunity to see and understand that by having a large body of "Favorable People In Power" does not produce the fancifulness "land of milk and honey", instead the very same transactional challenges between citizens and their government take place - the favorable people in power merely bend over backward to produce the outcomes that are favorable to the people who put them into office.

The built in suspicion of the government official's  motives due to RACE (see Sandford Florida) is taken away as the primary profiling agent from the community.  It remains, however, that there are many cases in which "The Law" and the need to enforce it renders the same results that were the case when the regime that was ran off were in power.  (See the recent all Black sheriff's raid at 3 am in Dekalb County to remove a Black woman from a foreclosed house).


The bottom line of my argument IS - there is only so much that a "Favorable Government In Power" - per your prevailing popular mandates is not ITSELF corrupted as it stops dispensing the law equally and instead becomes YOUR agent of oppression against YOUR enemies.

(I should note that 2 years ago - two Black people died in Dekalb County in the context of being tasered by Dekalb County police.  The coroners report later found that they died from extenuating circumstances.   One was severely obese and the stress from the overall confrontation exacerbated the exiting terminal condition.  I do not recall what the other conclusion was.

There were no sustained protests with the goal of knocking the establishment power out of power, replacing the command staff with a more favorable cast of characters.  THEY ARE ALREADY - the "more favorable cast of characters".)

I am on record as observing that BLACK PEOPLE ARE 100% EQUAL.   We have the same power to produce untold greatness.  We also must be checked so that we don't produce systematic evil.

At some point, beyond the same tired old "THEY CAN'T DO THIS TO US" rallying cry (No they are not going to vie to have the police command staff in Dekalb fired due to this "injustice" as they would love to see in Sandford FL) - there must be some means by which we come to a place that fills the void between:   BENIGN INDIFFERENCE in which the community it tuned out to what is going on VERSUS - Kettle Boiling Over anger and resentment - in which "Dekalb County Will Burn if we don't get some justice".

These type of transactional incidents (in which the White police officer is the evidence that WE STILL have not achieved the full benefit of our "Mission Accomplishment") serve to shift the focus away from the deeds of the people who were popularly voted into office (and were seen last week fighting over the County CEO's use of the public broadcast channel for his own propaganda purposes, in which case the county board tried to strip funding of the media center) over to a more favorable target - in which fewer toes are stepped upon:  "The White Police Officer -#1 Criminal Agent in the Black community".  (If you believe "The New Jim Crow" theory).
