From Booker Rising blog: Star Parker - Blacks Need To Close "Sunday - Tuesday" Gap
In her article that is referenced on the Booker Rising blog, Star Parker, conservative Republican political operative suggests that Black voters realign their "Super Tuesday" voting patterns with what they learn in their "Sunday Morning Worship services".
I disagree.
There is a problem with our people that is far, far, far more complex than what Ms Parker provides in her analysis.
My youthful acknowledgement and acceptance of Neo-African / Black Nationalist images that portrayed pride and uncompromising dignity has been stripped away.
In the place of this easily pliable attraction for everything with a "Spiritual Black African" marketing package around it - I have grown to see that a LONGITUDINAL BATTLE is necessary to reorient and retain the standard of living outcomes that our people desire. Propaganda and "faith" must be used to span that small gap that remains after the battle NOT allowed to make up the BULK OF the great distance that must be spanned.
Put too large of a gap for faith or "confidence" to span for the human intelligent mind to comprehend and we get what we have today: ANTI-INTELLECTUAL CORRUPTION.
The Lack Of Institutional Integrity And Respect For The Very Things We CLAIM To Desire
Below are two Black women that are very attractive in my view.
They both are known quantities in the modern American political discourse. Both are educated and articulate. Both represent a strong measure of advancement of the Black community from any other time in our past in this nation.

This artifact serves as my evidence that the problem with today's Black America goes far deeper than what Ms Parker suggests.
The ironic point is that the same people who I can attest to as spending countless days talking about the WHITE RACISTS in this nation who have venal contempt for the present occupants of the White House - for no other reason than the RACE of the first family - are themselves seen making frequent use of the very same hateful references.
Whereas we as Black people are to assume that "The Whites" that traffic in this type of repugnant name calling are MARINATED in a special type of hatred - which should justify every Negro in America to lock up tight in a "Ring Of Protection" on behalf of the President - for some reason their own evidence of hatred never rises as a SUPERIOR threat to that of their adversaries.

Please understand their motivations.
In their present consciousness they have lost their way in.
While in the company of the other Blacks with their same consciousness and political goals they see this attack on another Black female with a differing point of view (but who never killed another Black person) as a threat to their ideological goals. This makes her worthy of attack.
This tells me that their IDEOLOGICAL/POLITICAL goals are SUPERIOR to the "community" goals that they purport to be advancing in all that they do.
When I make the case of the irony about how the very worst reference that today's Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism Chaser can make use of IS the condition of the communities they dominate - it gives rise to the possibility that, in fact, their primary goal does not involve the development of the Black community but ONLY the development of their ideology and its power over Black people.
While they retain their present consciousness - they assume that such a victory will translate into a prosperous Black community - their commitment to their ideological domination over the development of our community also ensures that they will NEVER themselves develop a TRANSPARENT system of governance that will sublimate their agenda to the BEST INTERESTS OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY, issuing reports on their progress in a way that they demand banks, corporations or government agencies who they regulate to submit - again in the name of TRANSPARENCY.
I make the case that the very same contempt and disrespect that they show for a particular Black woman who does not agree with them is the same general contempt that they have for Black people - believing that there IS NO NEED for a transparent governance system. All they need is an AGENT OF PROPAGANDA to produce CONGREGATIONAL UNITY. With congregational unity - you can do anything you damned well please!
With the popular enemy stood up as they do - they retain their favor with the congregation - while the OTHER GUY takes all of the blame in the conscious mind of the Black rank & file.
With all due respect, Ms Parker. We DO NOT have a "voting alignment problem" WITHIN the Black Community.
We have a "Free Radical" problem.
There has never been a greater amount of disconnect between that which actively POSES as "The Black Agenda", seeking to draw our people's conscious and emotional attachment into it versus that which is PROVEN to be working for the best interests of our people - with evidence of material DEVELOPMENT and a commitment to its own integrity from marginalization as proof of its own credibility, focus and consciousness.
You are a Republican.
As such you ultimately want to channel more of our "Black Community Development Consciousness" into the "offering plate" that you are handing out.
I make the case that our people have been drawn into the "Malcolm X Political Football Game" and this has usurped the bulk of our consciousness about ourselves.
These two posters did not think twice about affording you any sort of respect as a Black female that they complain is a sign of contempt and racism in others.
Worse than their individual offenses, however, is the Black Institutional governance void that tends to encourage this as a means of teaching any "Free Range Negroes" who dare stray from the congregation a lesson. Their public lesson is not done just for the purposes of that one individual. It is done as publicly as possible to show any other people who presently stand with the congregation the consequences of their acts of ideological disloyalty.
We must also note how the use of "Black Inferiority" - the selling of the 'Black Damaged State' as a result of slavery and oppression as a means of inducing both "The Victim Status" and an Indictment to clear the way for the adoption of left-wing, quasi-socialist, progressive policies. The same mindset that produced the attacks above - is the same consciousness that does not mind promoting BLACK INFERIORITY as a means of obtaining their ultimate goal - POWER.
It is clear that they are not concerned about their incompetency in governance and development of the Black communities that favorable people now dominate. Their interest is on developing their ideological policy framework at whatever costs.

The key challenge faced by the person who is attempting to figure out which of the two dispositions he should adopt is his need to understand the PROPAGANDA RESOURCES that are surrounding him, provoking him to assume one or the other.
Until the person learns how to develop his own channel for understanding - the outcomes that he desires will always be usurped by the commissaries that have a vested interest in preventing his growth in awareness.

The Real Problem
You were compelled to write your article due to the recent internal debate within the Black Community regarding the radical redefinition for traditional marriage - spurred on by the words of President Obama.
For me - a person who is not looking at Obama but instead "How Obama's actions induces the CONGREGATION to act, so frequently compromising their own integrity" - the frequent references to the IMPACT IN THE POLLS for President Obama - from members of the LampBlacked Yellow Journalist Press was of far more interest to me.
This points to the big gap between the realities in the communities of Black America versus what is on the political dashboard - competing for our "conscious attention".
If you notice EVERY single Black Progressive proponent of this move in support of Obama makes reference to THE RIGHT WING as a means of triggering a known response within the congregation.
I've noticed that in issues from the NATO invasion of Libya to the use of drones to kill suspects that were labeled "terrorists" - the best way to get Black people to go along with the flow is to make reference to what Dick Cheney, Rush Limbuaugh or some White Right Wing Evangelical has said on the issue or about President Obama.
None of this is an accident.
This is what happens when there is an unprotected void of governance within the "Black Community Consciousness Nucleus" and "Embedded Confidence Men" are allowed to run unchecked - mostly because they are POPULAR and APPEALING with their message. This appeal is in line with the PRESENT consciousness of our people and NOT in relation to what we NEED as a consciousness to prosper as a community.
Your suggestion that we think about Sunday on Tuesday, after we get past the "Voter Suppression" attempt as we show our ID - fails to make proper mention of the problem.
The problem is that with our people's fusion with the "Malcolm X Political Football Game" we are compelled to FIGHT FOR THE TEAM - the ultimate consequences to our people be damned. (See Detroit, Philadelphia, Newark).
WE NEED TO VOTE. Every citizen in a democratic nation needs to vote.
My argument is that there needs to be a structural change - where the community interests in good governance within our institutions are enforced. This can only come if the High Stakes Death Match of central government politics is ultimately destroyed as our primary interests.
This central competition allows those with undue influence upon the Black political consciousness yet who seek to execute (what I call) "Establishment Power Repudiation" to continue to stand up increasingly marginal issues with the purposes of manipulating this TEAM UNITY to create "victories" while failing our people at the marcro level.
The are then convinced that if they do pursue the Black Community interests by expressing the audacity to go against the establishment machine - they will be publicly lashed for a modern OFFENSE that was just a few short years ago their solemn duty to petition their government.
With the ironic point being that their worst reference for retaining the confidence of our people being their results WITHIN THE BLACK COMMUNITY - there needs to be structural reforms that REPURPOSE them from their present destructive track.
You need to drop your "Black Republican meme" and focus on the more deep seeded, psychological challenge that faces our people.
IF watched how "Democrat On Democrat" factions worked in Newark NJ on "Brick City" - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that an inter-party battle for the hearts of Black people IN OUR PRESENT CONSCIOUSNESS would likely spiral into physical violence.
The BEST hope that we have is to compel EVERYONE who is serious to commit "Institutional Integrity" - agreeing that at least THEY will treat other Black people with the same respect they ask WHITE FOLKS to treat us when we have a political / ideological disagreement with them.
After this - we can work on cleaning house with (that which purports to be) "The Black Press".
