This is the song that I just listened to on WVEE 103AM Atlanta. Next up was Rhianna's Birthday Cake
This is no big deal to most of you.
The problem is that the very same "urban radio station" (and this is just one of many around the nation) that told Black people "WE RENT WHEN YOU CAN OWN YOUR OWN HOME? Come On Down To Our Remote Broadcast. I Have Mortgage Brokers Standing By Who Can Get You In Your Home Today........." are now up to their old game of confidence with their Black listening audience.
This requires a bit of a setup so please bear with me.
The 1906 Atlanta Race Riot
During the Atlanta Race Riot Of 1906 several Black people were killed and many more assaulted. The marauding Whites came from downtown Atlanta, over to Auburn Avenue - looking for some Black people to beat down.
With "Auburn Avenue" as the cultural center of Black Atlanta an important festival was started to restore the consciousness of Auburn Avenue in the minds of young people and the massive number of Black transplants from around the nation.
The "Sweet Auburn Festival" was started to provide a means of bringing this once proud street back to life.
(Why did you all leave out Rev Warnock from the array of Civil Rights Pharisees pictured? I wonder if he was on Auburn Avenue the other day and noted the THREAT to the Black Community's integrity that was lurking within? )
The V-103 Remote played these two songs - the radio version that WAS NOT MUCH DIFFERENT from the You-Tube version FROM THE SWEET AUBURN FESTIVAL.
NO ONE CAME FROM THE CROWD TO FORCE GREG STREET TO TURN THAT MESS OF, saying 'YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DISRESPECT OF CELEBRATION AND OUR DIGNITY WITH THIS MESS'.
Do you all understand why it is so important for all of the EXTERNAL INDICTMENTS against IDEOLOGICAL ENEMIES?
When left to their own devices they are unwilling and incompetent at ENFORCING a level of dignity among OUR PEOPLE by which the goals that the outright VENERATION that they propagandize via the "Civil Rights Heros" is operationalized in a more practical manner when it counts.
These are the situations that force the "Black Flight Progressives" who were originally down with the "Occupation" of the elected leadership positions in Mission Accomplished Cities to begin to move away. Their sensibilities are offended by this foolishness. Instead of confronting the situation AND erecting sufficient controls - they just move away - frequently back next to their ideological enemy while they support their "peeps" from a distance.
My problem is that I am not willing to expose the fraudulent overlay that is exploiting the void in our community governance for who they are.
Don't worry - I won' t be protesting nor filing a complaint with the FCC. This is not a GOVERNMENT problem. It is a Black community GOVERNANCE problem.
