Juan Williams' Analysis Of The Black Racial Services Machine Augmented With The Models From This Blog

Commentator Juan Williams is heard giving a critique about "Black Leaders" and their inability to apply adequate concern and governance over the pressing problem of "Black on Black homicide" - this in line with their focus on "Justice For Trayvon Martin".

Juan Williams is making correct observations but he does not apply the appropriate framework by which he and others can be made to UNDERSTAND WHY it is necessary for the so called "Black Leadership" (Black Racial Services Machine" to focus on justified but narrow interests while failing to field a broader governance structure that would effectively regulate the larger problems in Black America.

CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK ANALYSIS

If Juan Williams had used the tools and models that I have previously developed as part of my longitudinal study:  "What Makes The Prevailing Black Political Consciousness Tick?"  then his words would be less speculative in attempting to understand the reasons why we are seeing what we are seeing.

The most obvious finding of my study is that" CONGREGATIONAL UNITY IS JOB #1

Think about the power of "Congregational Unity" as the priority focus.
If the machine's agenda is a net failure yet they retain "congregational unity" - then the group will be seen blaming their present fate upon external forces.   Their unwillingness to assume that the system that they actively supported (which has won their confidence) is a part of the reason why they stand in their present place - is the most powerful tool to have in one's possession.  With the void in transparent governance there is no ultimate consequence suffered (as measured by popularity) as long as this scheme is in place.   The cost is the gap between the sentiments of the people and their real world existence.

Mr Williams wonders how so much attention can be cast upon "Justice For Trayvon Martin" while so many other young Black males are murdered by Street Pirates, unable to generate the same amount of concern for the "value of Black life" as when a WHITE KILLER takes the life of a Black male.

Again - I ask that Mr Williams go back to priority #1.   It is folly to attempt to apply standard measures of rationality to the behavior of the "Black Racial Services Machine".  Their goal is to keep Black people unified upon the belief that we are under attack by a SUPERIOR force and that we must remain unified lest we fall after having splintered into factions.

The Black Racial Services Machine MUST control the Priorities Of Indictments that are projected from the Black community against the congregation's enemies.  (The "Black Community Conscious Attention).  I have noted before that the most important attribute of a "favorable Black Progressive official" (elected or not) is to sense the frustrations of the congregation and to have the consciousness of timing that will allow him to avoid being the focus of attack for the grievances and frustrations about the pace of their advancement as a community.  Notable Black Progressive leaders know how to  "levitate off of the stage" and LEAD the protest rally against a defined, EXTERNAL enemy.   Since the goal is "congregational unity" and NOT the actual attainment of the desired end, he must make himself into a "struggle leader".  This gives them a perceived measure of "skin in the game" for their fight against the enemy.   They can feel confidence that they "were on the right side of history", having not sat out this episode of "The Civil Rights Movement" when it appealed for their support.

The main flaw in "the struggle" is that the "Black Rank & File" is always asked to be foot solders in the struggle.  Rarely are they seen taking a step back and rationalizing the entire dimensions of the universe around them.   The "Black Racial Services Machine" MUST BE scrutinized as part of this larger scheme of self-understanding.

I have no problem in saying that I have reached the point of 100% NO CONFIDENCE that the various forces of "The Black Racial Services Machine" has the DEVELOPMENT interests of the Black Community in mind, above their ideological and political concerns.  (I will be commenting on "The Black LEFT Forum" strategic meeting that I read about in a subsequent blog post.).    The truth is that these are ideological operatives that have their METHODOLOGY fixed.  They use their "methodology" (or tool) as if it is an END.  The example of this is "We Must Adopt Progressive Public Policy In Order To Improve The Conditions Of Black America".   How does anyone ever get to determine if "progressivism" is the tool to fix all that ails the Black community in every situation?   They are, in fact "progressives" and the Black Community is merely a specimen that they plan to work over.

Those who have the development interests of the Black Community in mind would, by contrast, begin to enumerate the desired outcomes for the Black community, which defined the "Desired Standard Of Living".(a qualified model, for example - Safe Streets, Thriving Local Economy, etc)   From this point we'd hear some QUANTIFICATIONS of these goals:

  • GOAL: Bring The Black Homicide Rate In Line With Our Population Proportions
  • GOAL: Graduate Sufficient # Of Black Physicians So That We Have Enough Non-Profit Qualified Medical Practitioners In The Market To Reduce Costs And Thus Expand Access
When we study the distribution scheme of the Black Progressive - Bayard Rustin being the reference model - one notes that they have simplified the message to the rank & file to a bumper sticker:  "Vote Straight Ticket For Progressive Public Policy".   The part that did not fit on the sticker said "Outsource It All To US - We Will Figure It Out On Your Behalf".

The fact is that the Progressive-Fundamentalist CAN'T separate his "Progressive Methodology" from the "Transparent End Goals" on behalf of the Black Community's interests.  The ironic truth is that IF he did insert a layer in between, allowing a 3rd party to judge the EFFECTIVENESS of their progressive methodology - it would risk the displacement of the "progressive struggle" out of the hearts of Black Americans.   They would begin to look at the resulting numbers and act more like INVESTORS rather than "Team Members".   An investor seeks to cut his losses and not put good money after bad.

The sad truth is that today - NO ONE GETS FIRED FOR FAILING BLACK PEOPLE - AS LONG AS THEY RETAIN THE POPULARITY AMONG THE CONGREGATION.   Those who feed the Black Rank & File the notion that external forces have worked to undercut us at every move - just as they have done in the past - are the reason for the present situation - are the forces that will remain in power, regardless of the failure.

The problem - as I see it is that PROGRESSIVE THEORY as been adopted as "BLACKNESS".   Thus, for example, when conservative Republicans stand against "Nationalized Social Justice" because they reject quasi-socialist policies - the fact that "Blackness" has been used as chocolate syrup over a progressive caramel core - when a non-progressive rejects the scheme then they, quite obviously are also made into "racists".

If we logically conclude that those who REJECT "progressive policies" which are meant to lift Black people up then what do we say about people who received the INVESTMENTS from Black people after the masses are made to believe that these investments will make our people prosper.  Do you see that THE PROSPERITY is contingent upon PROGRESSIVISM being more widely adopted by society.  The Black Community then remains as a "progressive constituency".  Any serious notions of ORGANIC COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT as a means of our growth gets demoted as an option.

Since our fate as Black people is linked to Progressive/Democratic standing - we become agents of these greater masters.  The ball is hiked in the Malcolm X Political Football Game.

Tying Juan Williams' Observations To The Model

Juan Williams asks why the relative silence over the fact that Black people will be 50% of the homicide victims in America while we are only 13% of the US population.

Since the goal is NOT to "Develop Black People ORGANICALLY" but instead to boil the ocean called "Nationalized Social Justice", the "Black Racial Services Machine" must necessarily INFERIORIZE the outcomes that would otherwise prove disturbing IF providing it with EQUAL focus would trigger indictment of their competency to regulate the internal affairs of the Black community.  Sadly the "indictability" of the killer is made to be the primary attribute that defines the probability of protests and claims that "A Black Man's Life Is Still Worthless In This Post-Racial America".

I stated a while back that the mistake is that some people are looking at "Black Activists" and assuming that they are a "FULL SERVICES Black Racial Services Brokerage".  They are not.

Due to the structural and institutional limitations within the "Black American Community CONSCIOUSNESS" these activist forces have been allowed to key in upon marginal points of indictment, outsources the remaining portions of the "human experience" as Black people to the "social justice mandates" that the GREATER SOCIETY is obliged to address - via the government.

At present we are caught in the lull between the success that they have had in dominating our local "Human Resource Development Institutions" and their desire to do a more full national run on power.  Since the rank & file are willing to defray their expectations of fuller service upon the political success of this force - we never arrive at the place where the Progressives WHO ARE IN POWER AT PRESENT are held accountable for the results.  They will always point to the frontier yet to be conquered.
