In my analysis - NOT by advocating for "Justice For Trayvon Martin" but by successfully executing a "Black Community Consciousness Attention Filibuster" where they focused our attention away from the larger issues of violence in our community which did not fit the template for the type of indictment that they wished to render.
The proper way to understand the slight against the large interests of the Black Community is to understand the thousands of murdered Black people each year who's cases WOULD NOT trigger such a machine-like response of all of the loosely coupled cogs in the progressive movement. Not one of the "Cold Case Murders" which are represented in the portion of the "Homicide Closure Rates" that never get solved will ever be made candidates for the series "Civil Rights Cold Case Files". The profile of the killer is the biggest determining factor.
The Progressive Press - Pettifogging One Issue To Keep From Being Indicted On The Larger Issue
Credit should be given to the Progressive-Fundamentalist for his ability to own the narrative, sculpting it to his strength - the ability to make indictments. Today we are not talking about the American debt crisis nor continuing casualties in foreign wars. Even in the face of increasing homicides of young Black males - the Progressive is able to reach into the fray and pull out one murder - using the details of this one case to generate serial outrage and thus lobby for the dismissal of the Police chief, the City Manager, the States Attorney and the "Stand Your Ground Law" - all which advocating that Black people invest their votes to make it all happen.

Take all of these reports from the Progressive Press..........................NOW IMAGINE ZIMMERMAN WAS BLACK.
Even for a loathsome ideological hack like Dana Milbank, I suspect that he is challenged to compartmentalize Minster Al Sharpton as a redemptive character, after being forced to look past the steady stream of urban violence. We will not hear news that Mr Milbank has decided to relocate into the Anacostia section of DC because Minster Al Sharpton assured him that he would be perfectly safe. Milbank is more inclined to write an article about how "Global Warming Deniers", in their bigotry, refuse to look at the numbers. I assure you that he would not dare hold up Minster Sharpton and ask him "Why Just Trayvon and not the thousands of other Black murder victims - who's killers, absent racial malice and the history that buttresses it, they were STILL motivated to kill a Black person in cold blood?"
The power of the "Black Community Conscious Attention Filibuster" is that it can compel all of its joint venture partners to focus on the indictments that provide them with tranactinal strength - at the time that they need it (during election season).
I credit the executives at MSNBC/NBC Universal and Washington Post for recognizing that within the Black Community is a bevy of progressive voters who they can service, ultimately achieving their corporate agenda. When we look and see the opinion operatives from the "Black auxiliary" being featured in the mainline branded product (The Grio.com operatives appearing on MSNBC, The Root.com operatives appearing in The Washington Post) - most Black people won't bother to stop and think that actually its the other way around: MSNBC and THE WASHINGTON POST are nestled into the "Black Community Consciousness Nucleus" - using Embedded Confidence Men who carry the message but do not raise any alarms.
The only way to counter this hijacking of our community interests is to employ the discipline to look past what Black people PREFER in our PRESENT CONSCIOUSNESS and instead to take a dispassionate look at the numbers.
Even though an employed operative who is articulate with his spin will tell you that "Black On Black Homicide is NOT A PROBLEM" (Because Black people kill other Blacks just as Whites do) - when you understand that neither he nor the group of them have any intention of fixing the Black community THROUGH Black people - it all becomes clear as to what they are doing.
With our consciousness about ourselves having been integrated into the "American Political Domain" the embedded confidence men understand that since they really can't get Black people to change by erecting a list of our permanent interests and compelling us to organize for organic production - the best strategy is to have us STRUGGLE AGAINST some threat.
It doesn't matter that what the Black community is ultimately made to "Struggle" for is in the interests of the IDEOLOGY rather than the COMMUNITY.
It doesn't matter that a serial walk through the 'Mission Accomplished Cities' where these policies have already been enacted and the underlying promise has not been produced.
The ONLY thing that matters to the Progressive-Fundamentalist is that they keep the appropriate INDICTMENT in the conscious attention of Black people who carry grievances or otherwise THEY who are in power having received the previous investments now become the target.
Absent some BLACK COMMUNITY RESOURCE that is consciously aware that the ACTIVIST will only ever be competent at addressing certain aspects of our greater problems and as such refuse to go along, instead choosing to keep his eyes on the prize - our people will continue to STRUGGLE, with "The Struggle Motion" and the resulting "Congregational Unity" promoted as the main product of this movement
