Where is the courage in Black Progressive journalism?

While there are plenty of "We've Got Our Own Trayvon Martin Cases" pile on and/or signs of a new "collabo" in which the latest round of "No Justice / No Peace" rallies feature Trayvon Martin AND the "young Black murder victim" that had been the subject of a march prior to February 26 .......there are too few opinion pieces that talk about the deadly trek of the "Dark Seth" through the Black community that IS NOT CONDITIONALLY prognosticated based on the reader's willingness to accept that "American Systematic Racism" CAUSED the "murderous ecosystem" that "The Blacks" live in.

When I read such matter I can't help but note the protection racket that is being executed.

One can't miss how their White Progressive Journalist-Joint Venture Partners have learned to not make indictments about the wanton murders of Black people within certain communities.  They instead leverage the "diverse news rooms" to spike or emphasize stories with the goal of advancing the joint venture's agenda.  Thus no toes get stepped upon.

In a preemptive response the Black Progressive Journalist asks "How can we expect 50 short years of voting rights to undo more than 400 years of oppression and slavery"?

ANSWER

The "We Wuz Slaves" and "We Know Who Did This To Us" meme, you must understand, is NOT an attempt to develop Black people via the build up of strong institutions within the Black Community.

Instead these are the favorite words of the "Congregational Unifiers" who goal is to tap into the spirit of grievance that is resident in some portion of the Black American's soul as he hopes to capitalize upon it for political and/or ideological gain.

IF there was a transparent and steadfast intent to ORGANICALLY develop Black people then we'd hear references to "The Damaged Slave Mentality" as we might hear about a virus or a malicious strand of DNA - the intention being to COMPARTMENTALIZE it so that it can suffocate, never able to span the inter-generational synapse thus possessing the minds of a new crop of Negro specimen. 


When there is a constant reverberation of past conditions and an active attempt to establish a "rites of passage" where our young people are made to 'relate' to the history of how our people were treated so that they can come to UNDERSTAND the present conditions - it comes as no surprise that one can obtain a greater stature by linking Black people's consciousness to the "past struggle against oppression", only to channel our "Racial Development Consciousness and HOPES" through a particular (ideological and political) gateway that one is intent on maximizing the flow through.


With the lack of transparency within - What exactly is the consequence of executing such a plan?

• If You FAIL - you point to those who upended you due to RACISM - just like the past
• If you SUCCEED - as evidenced by the POPULARITY of your efforts and your success at living up to the self-defined ends that you told the masses as they were made to live vicariously through ............

HOW CAN YOU LOSE?

Notice in the video that the Chicago government is making public pronouncements of how it will alter its operations in order to constrain the assaults from "Street Pirates".    

In addition we know that there are several community based "Anti-Gang" / "Anti-Violence" initiatives that are presently in place.

While no doubt an observer and critic like me would be asked "What are YOU DOING to fix the problem?  How many marches have you participated in?  How many mentoring programs are you in?".......................few people will look past these "good works" and ask about the:

• Comprehensiveness
• Effectiveness.......

......of these operations, commensurate with the problem.
