The Black Klansman Atop The Atlanta Public Schools - In The View Of An Activist Bigot Who Can't See That Performance Problems Are The Real Issue At APS

For a thought group that claims that it is "conservatives" that find facts and scientific proof enemies of their entrenched positions - the progressive-fundamentalist activist seems to upend this theory at every opportunity they get.

The best way that a Black man with power can be "Klanified" is if he uses his power in support of the perpetual health of the INSTITUTION but which runs awry to that which the activists THINKS he should do.

Though other public school officials around the nation have done far more damage to Black people, Atlanta Public Schools head Eroll Davis is the only one of them in recent memory to be made to don a "Klan robe" as an indication of his "contempt" for Black children.

In the minds of some "Fight The Power" Black-Wing Talk Radio hosts - the "attack" on the Atlanta Public School Board with the "teacher cheating scandal" was a ploy to weaken them to their present stature so that they would be unable to fight against this present "in your face" attack upon Black people.   I wish I was making this up.

What we must understand is that with SOME Black people who function as "The Black Guard" standard management methods to exact cost controls and efficiency must FIRST overcome charges of RACISM and "Attacks Upon Black Elected Officials" - even when, in this case - the ATTACKER IS BLACK HIMSELF - as is Eroll Davis, the superintendent of the Atlanta Public Schools.

Now please understand.  If and when the "wheels fall off of the truck" - see Detroit, Newark, Camden - these same "Fighters For Black People" will STILL be fighting to protect our people's interests and the interests of "favorable politicians" that are in power.  The one certainty out of all of the resulting chaos is that THEY will never assign any fault to themselves for the FOOLISHNESS that they had exacted from the start.    "Nationalized Social Justice" provides them with their "Jesus-like" protection from all sins that they may have committed that lead up to the damage done.

Are You Sure You Don't Have Any "Klan Pie Filling On Your Face", Black Official That Is Doing Something We Don't Agree With?

The author of this flier that was handed out at a recent school redistricting forum should have kept up with the times and Photoshopped Board Chair Davis with a gun pointed at Black school children with the title "Stand Your Ground".     The flier would have been more popularly received.

Why Are There No WHITE Schools Closing?
If Only The Activists Were To Focus On The Quality Rating Of The Entire School System And Not On Their Marginal Grievances

You have to understand the context of what is going on.   I used to provide consulting to the Fulton County School System.  (Note Fulton County Schools are different than are the Atlanta Public School System.).   In the big divide between the "Southside" of the county (Black) and the "Super White cities" in the North the school system had to be mindful of this underlying battle.   Every pilot program that was slated for a "Northern school" must have a duplicate installation at a school in the South, and vice versa lest there be claims of favoritism or racism.

This activist's contention is that the Atlanta Public Schools, which encompass a smaller geographic region is also playing on the Black/White - South/North divide within the city.   The claim is that the wealthier/White schools have been spared while the "Black" schools on the southside have been targeted for closing, their students subject to being bused to another school outside of their community.

(While the GA NAACP has not yet raised its head in this conflict in Atlanta, I would be remiss if I failed to note that this is functionally opposite of what the NAACP of North Carolina had argued.  To them the thought of having [poor] Black kids packed into their community schools represented a danger to them because it created "concentrated poverty" and thus was a violation of the theories of "Redistributive Social Justice".  Again there has not been much NAACP branded protests regarding the APS - at least not yet.).

I assure you that you will not see the next series of facts in anyone else's analysis of the situation.

The Atlanta Public School System is 83% Black.   White students make up only 10% of the school population.    It should also be stated that the "White Schools" in and around the Buckhead section of the city are diverse as well.

Note:  No Charter Schools Were Included, Hispanic or Asian makes up the missing numbers between White and Black/  The Two Race Columns Are Percentages

DO YOU SEE THAT A "CROWD OF ANGRY AND IMPASSIONED BLACK PEOPLE"  should not always be taken for a CROWD THAT IS PUSHING FOR THE PROPER ISSUES?   The Atlanta Public School Has a EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT PERFORMANCE PROBLEM as the primary threat to Black Parents NOT A "School Closure Threat" Problem.   Why hasn't your "LEADERSHIP" Provided You With The Facts In Such A Form As Above To Direct Your Energies?

There are more elementary schools on the chopping block than there are middle schools.  The list of elementary schools is about three times as long as middle.  I used the middle school list to save time but we can safely assume that there are about 3 elementary schools that act as "feeder schools" for every one middle school.  The racial and socio-economic composition are roughly the same.

The performance ratings of many of these schools are pathetic.
Those parents that believe that "Minority To Majority" busing is the solution to educate Black kids should use this opening in which their neighborhood schools are proposed to be closed to obtain entry into a "Majority" school.

Some of these schools above could not meet the Annual Yearly Performance goals and thus should have been (at least) reorganized.  It seems that there is a lack of clear leadership and vision among the ranks of parents.   The schools performance are more problematic, per my priorities, than is the threat of closure.

With first hand experience at Ralph Bunche Middle School - as a substitute teacher about 20 years ago I can personally attest to the fact that there is a discipline problem behind the school ratings.

As far as the "Klan" cartoon - there are simply not enough "White schools" in APS to claim that they have not provided their "fair share" of flesh.
