“Take Back The Black Community Consciousness". It has been hijacked by embedded operatives who don't intend to develop the COMPETENCIES within. We once controlled this consciousness, focusing our activism directly upon our permanent interests. Today the "Malcolm X Political Football Game" has us as starters and some believe that this playing time translates into absolute progress for our people. My goal is to hold our permanent interests in their faces, forcing them to explain their actions.

Professional Progressive Political Preacher Al Sharpton "Occupies" Michigan Governor's House
I DO NOT BLAME AL SHARPTON FOR HIS ANTICS.
The fault goes to the people who know better.
Earlier this year I stated that I would begin calling out the 'Black Flight Progressives" more frequently.
They are the 'Get In Where You Fit In Blacks" who are "Down with the Struggle" yet when the enemies depart and thus "the struggle" must be turned into competent governance - instead of "Speaking Truth To Power" against the forces that they placed into power - they move their family and their personal interests out of the "Mission Accomplished Domain" so they are not harmed yet continue their support, failing to stop the train of foolishness and obfuscation.
Just as "The Occupation" had an opportunity to express their credibility by going against Jay-Z profiting with a t-shirt they now show their real colors as they stand with the forces that have destroyed the City of Detroit as a solvent concern and instead focus upon the "protection racket" that would allow the machine to continue unchecked.
How does someone who claims that banks should be regulated to provide the necessary oversight so they are no longer allowed to execute self-serving practices that harm thousands of people stand in support of this protection racket for the machine that produced such damage to the interests of the people of Detroit?
Is there any evidence of SEPARATION between their fight for "the people's interests" and the machine that controls Detroit?
Their argument is that THE PEOPLE elected these individual representatives in power and thus "the machine IS THE PEOPLE".
The obvious rebuttal is that every chartered city and every school board is a franchise of the STATE. With education being a "state constitutional function", for example, any state that sees a franchise that is failing to live up to the state constitution and chooses to be intimidated in such a way is guilty of abdicating their constitutional mandates to work on behalf of the PEOPLE - even if a group operatives purport to be gatekeepers who stand between the state and the people who are being failed.
To the masses of Progressives that MOVED away from Detroit, Flint, Chicago and other "Mission Accomplished Cities" yet now are SILENT as this is going on - YOU have the sticky liquid on your hands.
Is there any surprise that when we extend these antics to other areas that are important to our people's development that our present languished condition exists DESPITE the apparent "victories" that the Embedded Confidence Men point to?

The people that could afford to move away did, leaving those ill-equipped to do anything about the situation (i.e. the community leaders left when they saw the writing on the wall)running the city. 'Reverend' Al is making political hay out of this situation. Sort of like the vultures picking the bones clean. All he's doing is stirring the pot before moving on to somewhere else.
Pretty easy for the good 'reverend' to paint whites as being responsible and ignoring black responsibility for the situation. What has the mayor and city council done to attract business? What have the mayor and city council done to halt the flight of professionals? What have the mayor and city council done to cut spending? If the answer is nothing then the mayor and city council need replacing by the residents of Detroit. How is the takeover by the state working in other Michigan cities?
Controversy has surrounded Kilpatrick since his 2001 election. Embraced by many Detroit residents for his boldness and confidence, Kilpatrick, then 31, embodied the new black politician and wore a diamond stud earring that helped earn him the unofficial title as the "Hip-Hop Mayor." His mother is Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, D-Mich.
During his first four years, he caused a furor over his use of his city-issued credit card for expensive travel, the city's lease of a luxury Lincoln Navigator for his wife and unsubstantiated allegations of a wild party involving his security team and strippers at the mayor's mansion.
This is how the previous mayor of Detroit acted. He was in the process of further draining the city coffers while partying on. Now when the bills come due and the state needs to step in keep the city from becoming a wasteland 'reverend' Al comes to stir up trouble.
It should be noted that, just like today, back during every crisis in Detroit (Kilpatrick, Monica Conyers, etc) the NAACP, the Concerned Black Clergy expressed more concern for their PROTECTION RACKET around the "favorable elected leaders" than they EVER publicly stated that they are concerned about the direction that the city is heading and demanded that the MACHINE THAT THEY PUT INTO POWER change course so the CITIZENS WOULD NOT BE HURT.
Instead we heard more about WHITE FOLKS in the suburbs causing hay inside of the city.

I agree with you here. So what do we do to change things for the better? Keep hammering out the truthful word and hope someone listens? Going up against the silver tongued is pretty hard.
ANSWER:
SOUND MANAGEMENT PRACTICES FIRST!!!
1) For the present Black Consciousness it is clear that RACISM CHASING trumps all else.
2) The first thing I would do is to focus on the BLACK PRESS. They are also the biggest problem. They need to be forced by the SERIOUS MINDED BLACK PEOPLE to do their job ENFORCING a certain transparent set of standards for other elements of the "Black Racial Services Machine"
3) After partitioning our "community resources" where the "leaders" are held responsible for managing them AND all rank & file member seeking to benefit from the correction are asked to do their part - there is a need for these aggregate actions to be appraised in line with some best practice standard
4) This bottom up management is based on ORGANIC development while "Social Justice" demands that the nation live up to its claims of equality. People need to make up their mind which produces the best long run changes in their culture accept the results of their choice.
5) I believe that the integration into high stakes national politics is the WORST thing that ever happened to America. Of course there has always been national elections in the USA. The communications and technology now has the national political scene as a source of power that it was never meant to be.
People need to ratchet this down and return to community based development.
Okay, that makes sense. Let me think about that for awhile. Got some other questions though.
