My agenda is to analyze "What Makes The Prevailing Black Political Consciousness Tick?". This is in line with what my career mentor told me years ago: "You can't fix what you can't measure".
While the term "RACISM(!!!!!) " is thrown around by some because it triggers a rather predictable reaction among Black people, I dare to "measure the force of racism" and then seek out the other forces that have contributed to the unfavorable outcomes. Those who have no respect for proportions or temperance as they exploit the sentiments of Black people receive the short term benefit of such indictments while doing long term damage to our people. The competency of "internal governance" is kicked down the road as a consequence.
I am a loyal reader of "The Final Call" - the organ of "The Nation Of Islam". It is a newspaper that has a bifocal spirit about itself. Its commentary about secular/political issues is left of center. Its commentary about "What Black people need to do" has the discipline and "self-responsibility" that many Black progressives scorn as "Blaming the victim".
It is very easy to plug the other cogs of the "Black Racial Services Machine" into the "timing belt" of the establishment Progressive-Democratic Party political machine. I have to admit that "The Nation Of Islam" remains an enigma to me. (Assuming that its paper is fully representative of the organization's positions.)
The editorials in "The Final Call" provide a perspective that is straight out of any "NNPA" syndicate. In fact "The Final Call" is listed as such by the NNPA. These articles are "ideologically progressive" in nature. They follow the meme of the prevailing "Black American political thought" in which the White Right-Wing is kept on trial and all "Negro co-conspirators" with them are called out, regardless of their power. (Hello Herman Cain).
This is one conundrum for the NOI. Even though one would be forced to say that the killing of their beloved friend Muammar Gaddafi of Libya after an American lead "International coup" would be the "#1 Assault For 2011", the cover photo from "The Final Call" shows that they are able to still live vicariously through the experiences of the Obamas in the White House while separating his role as "Commander In Chief" that took out their beloved friends.
I told you about my experiences in attending the "Anti-War On Libya Rally" at Atlanta's "Shrine Of The Black Madonna" in which "The NOI" was heavily represented. Despite focusing on the "NATO Attack On Libya" - George W Bush and Dick Cheney were mentioned more times than Obama. (I was keeping notes). At the end of the forum I learned that Tavis Smiley is not the only one who is planning to vote for Obama again in 2012. While the panel was "pissed at Commander In Chief" Obama for attacking Africa using the full force and power of the "US Military" they ultimately believed that the "Right-Wing" hidden hand" that controls the US powers made the call and that Obama's progressive domestic policy is more beneficial to their "progressive spirits".
It still does not sit well with me. If "Reagan dropped a bomb in Gaddafi's living room, killing his daughter" and "Obama blew up the entire house, killing two of his sons"...........why do you bestow "Right Wing-edness" upon Obama to capture his "evil side" but ultimately claim that these "Forces Greater Than Obama The Commander In Cheif" ' forced his hand on Libya'? Is he LESS THAN the other 43 occupants OR do you just have more affinity for him than you did these others? They fail to see that this stance merely allows Black people to be pacified as the United States military does the very same thing around the world. Anyone who is observing Black Progressives needs to put a "favorable person in power" while continuing their global quest, knowing that "The Blacks" will cheer this time as they protect those who they venerate and live vicariously through.
The Beef With Dr Earl Ofari Hutchinson and Now Ta-Nehisi Coates
I reported several months ago about Black Progressive Fundamentalist opinion writer - Earl Ofari Hutchinson and his "attack" on "The Nation Of Islam" and their stinging rebuttal.
"For the first time in my life I was made proud of the Black press" after reading the article in T.F.C..
I warned them that many of their "Democratic Establishment NNPA" content contributors had no intention of remaining transparent on their appraisal of the events in Libya. Dr Hutchinson accused The NOI of having their judgments about Gaddafi clouded by the money that they have received from him. (I wish that Dr Hutchinson would get a bit more "intellectually curious" about how this same phenomenon is the case with "Nationalized Social Justice Redistribution Policies upon 'The Least Of These' ". )
The NOI accused Dr Hutchinson as being "bought and paid" by the Zionists. Despite the fact that he was an occasional content contributor to their paper as they talked about the common "right-wing" enemy - this shot by Dr Hutchinson as he defended Obama's "Humanitarian Intervention" in Libya caused a shooting war of their own.
Today we have Ta-Nehisi Coates accused of working as "An Agent Of The Zionists", having rendered criticism against The NOI
As a result Mr Coates - a standard reference for Black Progressive Fundamentalists second only to the comedian Elon James White is now labeled as "An Uncle Tom Black Press Agent"

I don't need to agree with all that the NOI does, nor be a Muslim to agree with framework for ORGANIC Black Community Development that Minister Farrakhan is presenting.
Just as I hope that my friend KCNulan will look at the models and framework that I present and take it for his own use, not getting hung up on our well known difference that we no doubt have, all of my ideas are "open source". I ask that people "take them and run with them". Show me where I am inaccurate yet customize them - all without corrupting the integrity of them.
I am able to appreciate the accuracy of the fundamentals that Minister Farrakhan is laying out as he observes the present conditions of the Black Community. Someone who is bold enough to admit that the present prevailing Black consciousness is one of "Black Inferiority" certainly gets my vote because he is correct. The point is simple - those who call you "The Least Of These" as a verbal means of having you to "hunch your shoulders" in front of the "social justice" granting body - has no intention of making you the "UN-least of these" because their stomach will never fill as they learn how you and others are so responsive to this inferiority. They can't see the long term damage they do to our people, failing to build up the internal "organic competencies".
I am stunned that with so many Black people having read the Manning Marable book "Malcolm X: A Life Of Reinvention" that we have thus far heard more about Malcolm X's alleged "homosexual engagements" than we have about his interactions with one man that I have keyed as the father of the "Black Racial Services Machine" BAYARD RUSTIN.
If the present day NOI is to learn anything from the book about their former member it is that the "Bayard Rustin Force" upon Malcolm X is still present among the "Black Progressive Fundamentalist - Democratic Party Machine Insiders" that Minister Farrakhan keeps frequent company with. I predict that as any "Organic Black Competency Movement" gains real traction and Black people are asked to do what the great Sandy Cornish of Key West FL did - "make himself WORTHLESS in the eyes of those who sought to exploit him" - I predict that these "Embedded Confidence Men" who now must make a choice - will turn against any such movement. They will remind the "Black Rank & File" 'How GOOD the Democratic Party and Progressives have been to Black people".
Black America will have the evidence before us that -despite the "congregational agreement" that the "Black Republican" is the "Uncle Tom" - it is the "Democrat Who Is Black - Black Progressive Fundamentalist" who also fits the bill. His own advantage was that most others who shout the phrase "Uncle Tom" were standing right beside him thus not wanting to produce a self-indictment. Just as the "White Progressive" rarely has their "racism" called out by Black Progressives because the greater certainty of his conservative partner, so too is the case with the Black Progressive political operative. The NOI would be wise to consume the audio book version of the Manning Marable book and note that history will no doubt repeat itself.
I actually agreed with Bayard Rustin at the time that he challenged Malcolm X and the Nation Of Islam to reconcile its Black separatist rhetoric with its actual works done during the late 1950's/ early 1960's. Rightfully Malcolm X, then still in his official capacity with The NOI could not fully fight off the volley by Mr Rustin.
Fast forward 50 years and the Black Community has had its full fill of American Electoral Politics as a vector for our Community SALVATION. If you take a quick glance at nearly ever Black Progressive-Fundamentalist blog and news source right now - you will see them with more "Republicans On Trial" then they dare to stand WITHIN THE BLACK COMMUNITY and tell us about our INCREASE.
Once THEY are PUT ON TRIAL and forced to show any proof of "Organic Competency" after having carried the balance of the "Negro's Hope" I personally hope that the Nation Of Islam will produce a non-partisan, non-religious framework by which our community can establish a "protected core" where "Methodologies" are separated from "Permanent Interests" and those who claim to have a plan to move us forward as a community will have their claims measured for its efficacy in absolute GAINS and not the "Size Of The Congregation of believers".

In the 1980's Robert Ludlum did a very nice job capturing the essence of the national "security" state in his Jason Bourne novels, as well.
Oh, and lest I forget - there's always John Perkins who can set your contextual course right wrt the real underlying nature of our "politics".
Should make it easy for you to see through the myth of the "commander" in chief, and understand that what you're looking at is merely a NARRATOR in chief. {this also applies at the municipal, county, and state levels, as well.}

They saved face by talking about "Obama The More Efficient Commander In Chief". He used unmanned drones and thus no AMERICANS lost their lives - unlike Bush. I noted that lost in their rhetoric was any JUSTIFICATION.
My argument is that if anyone is watching "what makes Black people tick" - they now understand that America can continue executing upon its run of (I forget what you call the form of imperialism and capitalism that is being executed) that the way to put a lid on Black-led protest against these actions - is to place a favorable person in power to lead the charge.

"Evil" has proven to be a relative term.
The "evil" of the US Military in years past is now seen as proof, by some that the favorable Commander In Chief can "answer the 3am phone call", giving permission to fire unmanned drones upon the African continent.
In my previous post I yielded that "America is going to do what America is going to do" - REGARDLESS of who is in power. The job of the man at the helm is to "Sell It" to his base, compelling them to live vicariously through his military leadership. Those moral standards that they once held up and now have vacated is of no particular consequence.
We must conclude that they never had such "moral certitude". They merely were never exercised hard enough to see that this trinket would fall off of the hood of their luxury car IF the right conditions were presented to these, the opportunists.
