It is clear that what I see - other Black people SEE.
The difference is purely one one in which we choose a different methodological expression in pursuit of a solution.
This person from Jamaica New York sees the "Street Pirate" infestation and believes that being elected in the "American Political Domain" is going to allow her to participate in the fix.
| Note - This is Nicole Bell - "widow" of Sean Bell who was shot dead by NYC police a few years ago. Essentially she says that Jamaica Queens is presently experiencing an infestation of gun violence and lawlessness. She hoped to win a seat on City Council to put a stop to what she is seeing on the streets. |
When I hear a person who sees what is going on on the streets of "Black America" and then vows to "Try Harder" at pushing the very same "Progressive-Fundamentalist" policies that many who tread before her have already advanced, except "this time it is going to work" - I understand that there is a domain of consciousness that most Black people are not acknowledging because with the dominant control in the "American Political Domain" in these same communities - the problems remain in abundance. The fact that they still exist gives proof to my "Dark Matter" argument.
Next on Black Electorate we have a resident of Philadelphia "coming clean" about the violent city that it is known to be:
Annette John-Hall: Black-on-black killings: An epidemic in need of a cure
When I see the political machine of Philadelphia being affirmed with re-election having failed to address the "Killing Fields" problem in Philadelphia I am made to understand that the problem in my native town is less about the politicians and more about the consciousness that has been allowed to fester.
The forces that are needed to mitigate the situation - The "NAACP", the "Free Mumia Occupation" and various others who are in a position of confidence to invest their energy into the matter are busy running their ideological pursuits as "Protesters Of Leisure. (Excuse me while I see what my friend Filled Negro is talking about today. ...........................As I figured - Republican Mitt Romney. is today's "threat" worthy of the headline).
It comes as no surprise that these activist groups and operatives focus upon everything else but the "Street Pirate Sponsored Executions" that Annette John-Hall talks about in her article. Simply put - the sign that was true back at the "Dexter Street Baptist Church" when Rev Vernon John's was leading the congregation is still true in urban America 2011.

This is what I call "Establishment Power Repudiation".
The group decides that this is the case - even today - for a 6 year old little Black boy and little Black girl that sits in the first grade seats. Even though the forces that operate the Black community today ultimately control the majority of the "Impressions" that their 5 senses will be treated to in the next 15 years that will be their formative years - the claim that this is out of our hands and thus we must "Struggle outward" rings more powerful.
Talk about black-on-black crime: According to stats from the Philadelphia Police Department, 75 percent of 324 victims killed last year were African American men, while 80 percent of those doing the killing were - you guessed it - black males.
"Unfortunately, politicians don't see young black men as a viable voting bloc. . . . Politics is transactional, so the people who speak the loudest get the responses."
(Are you sure that this is the problem? Philadelphia has all of the "Favorable Politicians In Power" per the community's desire for a POLITICAL STRATEGY. If they were honest they would admit that they want the State Legislature to pass laws that PREVENT their Black sons from getting guns in their hand so they can stop killing each other, this in the place of EFFECTIVE "Problem Resolution Strategies. To this I say - "Tell Mumia Abu Jamal to WRITE A BOOK for the cure and then keep him and his followers on the hook to EFFECTIVELY mitigate these problematic numbers". - You are no more serious with your antics than my statement above - why the "selective offense"?)

Is this the Dark Matter argument; http://withintheblackcommunity.blogspot.com/2011/12/dark-matter-report-silence-after-free.html
Or does it have a comprehensive standalone expression?
The reactions I've gotten at WARN since I "defected" to your liminal perspective on objective reality have been VERY telling.
No counterarguments, just low-level, feminized harrassment. Comedy.gold...,
The "Dark Matter" perspective only says:
If we look at the entire universe of forces that bear down upon Black America;
* Those which lift us up because we ORGANIZE them
* Those which push us downward - both for malicious intent against us (ie: due to racism) AND because it is 100% natural for a group to pursue their own interests and not of others ( we do the same thing)
IN ADDITION to the acceptance that GRAVITY wants all players to remain at "ground level" (and thus we can't confuse "gravity" with "oppression" but instead need to have a force of uplift that factors for gravity).........
the "Dark Matter" is the set of forces that the Black Racial Services Machine DOES NOT ADDRESS because it is counter to their present competencies.
The job of all Black people who seriously want to improve our people by mitigating our problems via management is to first gain a full understanding of all of the forces in this "Universe".
As we look at the "confidence men" (on either side) that seek to impress upon us - they rely on the fact that the "Black Rank & File" are focused on that which is readily visible to them. They know Black people's sensitivities (racial slights) because THEY ARE BLACK.
To see the NAACP, for example, protest against the Death Penalty yet have no compulsion to note that IN GEORGIA ALONE - 10 State Sponsored Executions versus more than 350 homicides in the state year over year - proves that their focus is askew.
Not that they pulled the trigger. In as much as Blacks are highly overrepresented in the homicide count - they understand that the CULTURE and SOCIAL RULES within the Black community is considerably within the hands of their "joint venture partners". Thus the "Black Racial Services Machine" model.
I do not see myself as a 'thorn in their side' - maliciously trying to run interference.
I SEE THEIR ANTICS as a purposeful set of interference that keeps the Black community from developing more effective strategies where we manage our people THROUGH OUR INSTITUTIONS.
If they can't accept this as a mandate - they need to be disallowed from assuming power in our key institutions.
