“Take Back The Black Community Consciousness". It has been hijacked by embedded operatives who don't intend to develop the COMPETENCIES within. We once controlled this consciousness, focusing our activism directly upon our permanent interests. Today the "Malcolm X Political Football Game" has us as starters and some believe that this playing time translates into absolute progress for our people. My goal is to hold our permanent interests in their faces, forcing them to explain their actions.

When The Victim's Family Desires The Death Penalty For The Killer Will The Civil Rights Pharisees Respect The Family's Wishes?
When it comes to the family who has a loved one taken from them by a killer - their guidance to the judge regarding the punishment the killer should receive, upon conviction, is often used to advance the cause of the operatives in the gallery that are for and against the "State Sponsored Execution".
A few short months ago as convicted cop killer Troy Davis was queued up for execution in Georgia various progressive journalists utilized the words of the James Byrd family in Texas to argue their case in defense of Davis. The survivors of James Byrd - the man who was brutally murdered by 3 men who chained him to the back of a truck and dragged him, leading to his death - said that they were against the state sponsored execution of Lawrence Russell Brewer. Despite the fact that the protests outside of Brewer's death chamber was a pittance to the crowd assembled in Georgia on behalf of Davis - the wishes of the Byrd family was worthy of notation. One progressive journalist even called Officer MacPhail's family "selfish" for not taking the same disposition as the Byrd family in their desire to spare the killers' lives.
Fast forward to today's events.
A seven year old girl, playing in the play area of her apartment complex is snatched up and separated from her family. She was later found in a trash compactor day's later. The autopsy showed that she was stabbed and then killed with a blow to the head. She has been sexually molested.
Thanks to brilliant detective work by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation the evidence that they had pointed to a maintenance man of the property. He had exclusive access to operate the trash compactor.
The mother of the late 7 year old Jorelys Rivera is calling for the death penalty upon the successful conviction of the killer of her child. Ryan Bunn, 20 years old, is the alleged killer.
It stands to reason that we should transact in a debate in the importance of "the family's wishes" and how this should bear upon the antics of the political operatives who are watching this case from the outside.
If these wishes should be considered by the judge and jury for a family that wishes for "life in prison without the chance of parole" - what should be done when the family wish the death penalty in a state that conducts "state sponsored executions"?
Should we believe that those who are anti-death penalty are standing on higher moral ground?
Why are they not charged with compelling the larger community to develop a means of reducing "Street Pirate sponsored executions" - the more prevalent vector of homicide in our society.
Shouldn't this morality component be assigned to their efforts to convince individuals and not principalities to align themselves with "moral principles"? They, after all, position themselves as keepers of the flock.
Jorelys Rivera was a lamb who was slaughtered by a rabid animal while standing within the protective circle of the community.
