Part II - Jesse Jackson Seeks To Prevent The Republicans From "Occupying" Detroit During Its Fiscal Emergency

MSNBC's The Grio.com:  Jesse Jackson And Rep John Conyers To Fight Emergency Financial Manager Over Insolvent Detroit

Surely none of you are surprised about this?

We should note that neither Jackson nor Conyers were seen making public protests against the city leadership over the past 30 years.   They are both drawn out to the protest line only after the city is driven into a point of insolvency and the state threatens to impose "a regulatory grip" upon the city.

In the world of "justice" - when a local entity proves itself unwilling or incompetent to "do the right thing" for the people - Messrs Jackson and Conyers appear to be willing to allow the higher rung of government to intervene.  Is as much as it is the case today that the constituents of the city of Detroit and its school children are clearly being hurt by the local leadership that allowed the city to atrophy - it is quite puzzling that these two men (and people of their consciousness) are given to defend those who have failed the constituents.

AHHH but this is not the line that they are arguing.

Remember my observation about how the "Embedded Confidence Men" can compel Black people to vote or support that which is against their own best interests?

BACK TO THE BASICS - What Is A "City"?

A city is an entity that is chartered by the state.
At some time in the past the residents of a then 'unincorporated' parcel of land petitioned the state for a city (and/or school system) charter.   They argued that if the state granted them local taxation authority they could provide their constituents a better quality of life as the city services are locally managed and customized to the expectations and priorities of the local constituents.

To be clear - services such as education remain as elements of the state constitution.  The local charter merely indicates that a local franchise has been granted by the entity that now holds the charter.

It stands to reason that the original founders of the city argued a measure of ECONOMIC-SELF-SUFFICIENCY that was incumbent to their petition.   The challenge that we are debating today is the question of: What happens when a franchise is no longer fiscally viable?

Is the standard of living for the people of Detroit (and Flint and Benton Harbor) imperiled by the local franchise's present condition?  YES!!!

The advantage that the incumbent power has in fending off the state's ability to usurp their power is the power of rhetoric that is espoused by Jackson, Conyers and the other "Civil Rights Pharisees" that will no doubt join in.

I have reluctantly concluded that you cannot force a group of people to ENFORCE their own standards upon themselves.   Thus the very same people who would "run their ideological enemies out of town on a rail" for placing them in an eroded condition in the measures of interests that are most important to them show themselves to be willfully manipulated into a defensive posture once RACE is thrown into the picture.

I No Longer "Hate The 'Embedded Confidence Men' Players.   I Now Hate - "The Malcolm X Political Football Game" That The Black Rank & File Now Plays In As Starters

For me as an observer, analyst and critic of what I see hoisted upon our people as "The Black Agenda" I am no longer stunned at the AUDACITY of what the Embedded Confidence Men throw out for "US" to support.

The bottom line is that they would not be throwing it out IF they understood that those who they see as their troops would not obediently follow.   If the bone they threw out was REBUKED they would be forced to not insult the intelligence of the "Black Rank & File" as such.

The primary set of events that have caused me, long ago, to abandon my hopes that the Black Community is going to achieve salvation through the "American Political Domain" was my previous analysis of what I later began calling "Mission Accomplished Cities".

It is understandable that in a city that has a balance of "favorable people in power" along with "the enemy" that the Black community - which has its "Black Community Development Consciousness" fused with the Democratic Party and Progressive Public Policy can be made to remain "congregationally unified" in defense against a popular adversary who lives in the very same political boundary.

What made me see that the proximity of the "prevailing ideological adversary" is IRRELEVANT.   When he departs the popular function of the "Black Racial Services Machine" merely transforms into a "protection racket" for the establishment power.   As I point out in Fulton County Georgia - external muckrakers are necessary to provide pushback against the system - for example - calling it out for locking up 3 separate Black people due to mistaken ID or administrative incompetence with paperwork.  The end result is that the promised BENEFIT of their uplift into power rarely materializes.  Black people are expected to be PROUD of their presence in the mode of "Let Them Eat Cake".   In Philadelphia the contracting scandal of certain "Favorable People" (Ron White) compelled a few loyal radio callers on "Black Wing radio" to surmise "THEY stole money when THEY were in power.......Why is it a problem now that WE are in power?"

This is the consciousness that the "Embedded Confidence Men" love to synergize among "the Blacks".   During a radio interview on the local "Radio Times" show on WHYY a local (White) reporter noted the number of recently closed neighborhood recreation centers that could have remained open via the money that was spent in kickbacks to the confidence men.   He needed to ground this seeming unshakable support from the Black constituents to a material loss that they have suffered.

What all of this shows me is that many of those who claim the "moral high ground" against injustice and misappropriation merely have never held a position by which their own corruption can be exposed.

No doubt the correct position is to judge "your friend" as being 100% capable as is your enemy at conducting personal malfeasance with public funds.  So often "WE" is actually "THEY" but for the connectedness that they have generated to your grievances.

I have not yet seen, nor do I anticipate seeing a transparent read on the condition of Detroit Michigan from "The Black Press".

Those who vouched for the "Bayard Rustin Scheme For Black Power" have no intention of scrutinizing its efficacy, 50 years hence by transparently appraising its success by looking at the SPECIMEN (the condition of the Black Community) rather than the number of Black (Progressive) Faces that are in power.

Ironically the "assaults upon our person" that the political enemy was to exact IF they were ever allowed back into power over our community are already been conducted.   The main reason why the groans from the body blows that are received are not been echoed through the Black Press - with the intent on proper SOURCES of the assault is because they understand the key role they played in affirming the veracity of the medical procedure that we were convinced would lead to the cure.
