MSNBC's "The Grio.com" Fires Back At "Conservative" Critic Stanley Crouch

(Why are you all so predictable?)

In my sister blog "Surveillance Upon The Embedded Confidence Men Who Lurk Within Our Community Consciousness" I provided the proper analysis of Stanley Crouch's critique of MSNBC's "The Grio.com".

Mr Crouch called The Grio out for their focus on the "Bread And Circuses" of the entertainment industry, a system that provides the American populous with "empty calories". Mr Crouch failed to note that on the first column of "The Grio.com" is seen an endless repetitive loop of Political/Ideological dispatches that are indistinguishable to his own.   Thus - he did not talk about The Grio's role as a political cog in the "Black Racial Services Machine".  A cog that Mr Crouch himself is an important gear tooth upon.

The Black Press is the most important individual component in the "Black Racial Services Machine". The primary output of this machine is to spin the "exercise wheel", who's boundaries represent the landmass of "The Black Community" - its spinning motion providing the "Racial Gravitational Pull" that keeps all beings inside of the wheel effectively grounded.  They are indeed expert in physics and planetary dynamics.

The Grio's founder David A. Wilson - a person that I heard cavorting with his MSNBC co-worker Al Sharpton on the "Keeping It Real With Al Sharpton Show" is an entity that I had forgotten about as I read the content of those he has recruited to fulfill his vision of extending MSNBC's message into the Black Community.

In his rebuttal it was important for Mr Wilson to call Stanley Crouch - "a Black Conservative".   As a resident of metro Atlanta who has watched no less than 5 mayoral campaigns (and other offices) I understand the importance of labeling an opponent who's views are functionally indistinguishable from your own as that which other Progressive-Blacks will be able to read between the lines, thus allowing the rest of contents the "campaign commercial" to be accepted.

With this "When did you stop beating your wife, you Black Conservative?" taunt by Mr Wilson, I fully expect that Mr Crouch's next column will be titled "I Ain't No Stink'in Black Conservative, Don't You Read My Columns?  I Proselytize Obama More Than You Do On The Grio".

The All Too Predictable Rebuttal From The Grio

Executive Summary
David A Wilson - Founder Of MSNBC's "The Grio.com" on his "Agenda" Necessary "constructive feedback" and redirection with the hopes of seeing "corrected behavior"
"As founder and executive editor of theGrio, I view it as a great responsibility to inform our community of stories that are relevant"

"We've also been aggressive in highlighting stories about the increasing wealth and education gap, health disparities, and high incarceration rates in the black community."

This Valuable Resource Who's Value Is Defended By The Government Can Be Successfully Captured.......

.....By Controlling This Valuable Resource Which Is Exclusively Controlled By The Black Community

Dear Mr Wilson while I am happy that you have the best INTENTIONS for the Black Community, as you have so eloquently enumerated in your list of accomplishments, the fact is that beyond INTENTIONS is the need for transparent measure of "IS IT WORKING"?

Clearly there is no accident that you went to MSNBC as your corporate sponsor and "The Root.com" to the Washington Post Co..

Just as "Fonzie" and "50 Cent" see advantage in retaining the disposition of "The Rebel" who won't be made to "sellout" to the rules - it is clear that you and your co-workers see advantage in being "The Occupiers", fighting against the ravages of the system of corporate capitalism that has "oppressed" our people.  It all just happens to be in the form of the Republican Party today per your vision.

The term that I have coined to express what I see in you (aggregate "you") is "Establishment Authority Repudiation".   This is a fundamental attribute of a lumpenprolitariate consciousness.  Regardless of your power in the successful execution of your agenda in the "American Political Domain" you merely need to deny that you have the POWER from which better results should have come from the Black people how have matriculated through the INSTITUTIONS that "favorable people" now control.

I have learned to understand that "education" is not the cure from such thinking.  I listened recently to Harvard Professor Randall Kennedy apply this line of thinking as he functionally concluded that Black people are more damaged by 400 years of slavery than that which a 6 year old Black kid who might matriculate through "Human Resource Development Institutions" controlled by Progressives can ever be cured of.

The problem is not you though, Mr Wilson.
The real problem is that there is not a sufficient balance of Black people who understand that the present VOID in "Institutional Integrity Maintenance WITHIN The Black Community" which allows highly agendized people like yourself to sell our people on the promises that our investments of our "Black Community Development Consciousness And Hopes" into the cistern that collects our valuables to be made to provide a TRANSPARENT reporting about the present value of our "Community 401K Statement" - attesting to your EFFECTIVENESS as a "Financial Adviser" on our way to uplift.

What you retain in the "confidence" of Black people in our present consciousness you do untold damage to the elevation of our people in future generations for THEY TOO will be born on this Earth in receipt of a community that has failed to erect the need internal institutional integrity to avoid "insider trading".

As such the majority of your content providers do what I call "Keeping Your Adversaries On Trial So That You Don't Have To Indict Your Friends For Their Failures".

We already know the forces that threaten the interests of Black people can trigger constant survellance by Ms Tayor, Ms Reid, Ms Maxwell, Mr Williams, Mr Arceneaux, Mr Love and others on your web site.  I am interested in you proving that you are able to recognize the distinction between the "Permanent Interests" of Black people and your favored METHODOLOGY of obtaining its increase, daring to do a "self-breast exam" to affirm that your methodology is actually working.

The Contents In This Most Precious Container Can Only Be Filled To Overflowing By The Building Of ORGANIC COMPETENCIES Within Our People Where Our People's Repetitive Actions, Within The Context Of Our "Human Resource Development Institutions" Serve As PROOF That What Our Community Has Been Compelled To Support As Our "Black Community Development Consciousness" Is Actually EFFECTIVE And Is Not Just Stringing Us Along For "Congregational Unity" Purposes

  • The increasing Wealth Gap
  • The increasing Education Gap
  • Health Disparities
  • High Incarceration rates in the black community
Mr Wilson has no motivation what so ever to accept that TO-DAMNED-DAY the Black Community is living in the MISSION ACCOMPLISHED time and space of that which he and other Progressive-Fundamentalists have bought into as a CURE.

I secretly applaud them for taking advantage of a situation that THE BLACK COMMUNITY afforded them.
In as much as there is little motivation to bring up the "corporate memory" of the Black Community - by pulling out the campaign tapes from 30 years ago - as a means of refreshing our minds as to what was promised to us if we stayed CONGREGATIONALLY UNIFIED.

Mr Wilson and other Progressive-Fundamentalists will continue to claim the "Moral High Ground" as they are committed to struggling UNTIL these "Disparities" are eliminated.

They can't bring themselves to see, however, that in as much as they are responsible for promoting the present people in power over our key institutions - the FIX to our problem includes their resignation and exodus from our "Racial Consciousness Nucleus" where they now execute their mischief.

It is clear then that they play upon the PREVAILING PRESENT POPULARITY of Black people rather than them having any evidence of their possession of a FIX - as they told us before compelling our investment.
Just as it was ultimately irrelevant for Mr Crouch to call "The Grio.com" out on its coverage of entertainers and "Hip Hop Voice Of The Street Pirates" it was similarly irrelevant for Mr Wilson to dismiss this charge and then go where I noted as the void in Mr Crouch's analysis.

You see, Mr Wilson indeed shifted the debate from entertainment over to the important community service that his assembled band provide for the Black community consumer base that frequent his web site.

The Checklist Of "The Grio.com's Accomplishments"
  1. The 1 Year Anniversary Of The Haitian Earthquake
  2. (snicker, snicker) The Coverage Of The Voter Photo ID Laws That Threaten To Take Away Voting Rights Of African Americans
  3. The Congressional Black Caucus Jobs Tour
  4. Stories Criticizing "Street Pirate Voice Of Hip Hop" And Their Use Of The Word "Ninja" (After Criticizing Dr Laura For Calling It Out)
(Note: I eliminated the other references made by Wilson between they were focused on individuals or beyond the relevant points that Crouch was focusing upon)

Interestingly enough - the key point that was missing from Mr Wilson's list was the subject matter that is clearly the primary mission of "The Grio.com" per its place within the MSNBC / NBC Universal Ecosystem:   Promotion Of Progressive-Fundamentalist Political Viewpoint while 'spinning' the analysis of why the desired "Progressive Public Policy" has failed to provide the return on investment for our community as promised.

As I read "The Grio", "The Root", "Black Voices", "AfroSpear" and other "Progressive Who Are Black" information feeds - the primary attribute that one notes in all of them is that they speak from a perspective of the POPULAR PREVAILING CONSCIOUSNESS seen within the Black community, putting forth information that will attract their continuing loyalties.

The "dark matter"acquaintance with this strategy is the  painful truth that our community must accept is that they also strident in their intention to never go against the prevailing sentiment of "The Black Racial Services Machine" - which they are a part of.   Upon seeing the failure within our public schools after the take over by "favorable people" - The Grio.com is not going to stand in defense of the "Black Community's Permanent Interests" - demanding that "Their Friends" explain the shortfall of "returns on investment".

Note:  Right now on "The Grio" is the war that I had predicted:  Jesse Jackson and John Conyers are firing the warning shots against the Michigan state Republican efforts to seen an "Emergency Financial Manager" to run Detroit.   Anyone who reads this blog will note that I stated a long time ago that in the face of the collapse of Detroit and other 'Mission Accomplished Cities' where the Black Community's interests have been molested - the rote response of these people who I call "Embedded Confidence Men" is to whip up the Black rank & file to see that the prime threat to the Black Community is seen by the state Republicans threatening to unseat Black and/or Progressive local officials that they voted for.  This, the greater threat than the squandering of our INVESTMENTS and the INSTITUTIONS that are now collapsed.

The prevailing consciousness at "The Grio":  - young, Black, progressive, Democratic Party loyalist (note: Listen to NPR's 'Tell Me More Program' - Dec 23 in which "The Grio's" Joy Reid is paired against Republican Michael Steele to give the 'Democratic perspective' on the "Payroll Tax cut")
Ms Reid noted that independent minded people who voted for Republicans in the 2010 elections are now seeing that the "blue plate special" that they had ordered up as they dispensed upon certain Democrats was not what they had ordered as the Republicans that they have voted for have gone off of the deep end.

What we must understand is that the consciousness of The Grio permits them to see how the Republican's are out of line with what the "people ordered".  Ms Reid and her coworkers can't bring themselves to say the same damned thing about those who are in dominate control over 'Mission Accomplished Cities'.   I don't need to be a Republican like Michael Steele who is inclined to defend his Republican party.   I can stand as a Black man, doing longitudinal analysis of why the Black community has received so many "wins" in the areas that we have been compelled to invest in yet so many "losses" in the areas that matter the most to us.

The prevailing consciousness at The Grio.com is NOT going to do a transparent analysis of what they worked so hard to compel the Black community to invest in in 2008 and where the worth of our investments stand today.  More accurately, however, I see that the proper debate is not over "What Has Obama Done For Us" - from which The Grio and The Root can produce a long checklist.   The more astute observation is that we are on a 50 years long "Medial Treatment Plan" as voiced by the "Black Racial Services Machine" for our cure - and the more comprehensive journalistic review is to go back several decades and being to ask "WHAT FORCES ARE COMPELLING BLACK PEOPLE TO VOTE FOR OUR SALVATION and HOW ARE THEY PROFITING FROM DOING SO?"

I Respect A CONSISTENT Muckraking Journalist To Fraudulent Operatives

"Democracy Now's" Amy Goodman should be the "reference progressive muckraking journalist".  I don't need to agree with her motivations for me to respect her consistency.

I have more faith that she will call out any politician of any stripe that has violated her core progressive principles.  She understands that the short term benefit of "Gotcha Reporting" will never achieve that which consistent and principled reporting and investigative journalism can accomplish.

YES - when I hear her and Juan Gonzalles (sp?) reporting about the "Arab Spring" and subsequent elections I hear them asking the foreign journalist about how "progressive" the new government will be.  It matters less that they are "progressives" than it does that they would call out this new "favorable government" if it continued the abuses that the past government was guilty of.

Contrast this with the Neo-Black Progressive journalists.  Though many of the primary reasons that Black people got into politics remain undelivered (quality education, etc) they see themselves pushing a "progressive agenda" and as such are unwilling to ask questions from the perspective of the BEST INTERESTS OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY and our "Return On Investment" IF such questions would cause "their team" to lose the next election.

What they can't bring themselves to see is that the majority of what they fear a "conservative government" doing to injure Black people..............is already being done by the incumbents that they favor.
