Eddie Long And Herman Cain - A Fall From Grace & A Prayer That Came True For Some

The common point that I have observed between Bishop Eddie Long and Herman Cain after both have seen their "workplace" credibility damaged by charges of personal sexual indiscretions is that both have retained the confidence of the "true believers".

In the case of Bishop Eddie Long - he lead a church community which build up a $50 million church complex - all without the use of government funds.  Those who contributed their money from the community in order to build this multi-purpose worship, education and community center believe that "the man" who lead "the mission" were inseparable from each other.  As such they were predisposed to have their faith that is entrusted in "the man" to give him the benefit of the doubt and remain as the organization's leader.   Eddie Long blamed "his enemies" for attempting to take him down.

I noted previously that the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church ORGANIZATION must be faulted because, despite the importance of its founder - it has failed to implement sufficient institutional separation between a "sinful man because of his humanity" (as all of us are) versus the need for "the mission" to go on, remaining mostly on "the straight and narrow" but acknowledging that flawed human beings are the navigators of the vessel and thus "external navigational tools" must be used to maintain the integrity of the course and heading.

In the case of Herman Cain the base of his support resides outside of the Black community though they exhibit the same type of loyalty to the man who's clarity of message had won them over.
Though I consider "The Church" as an element of the "Community Cultural Consciousness & Competency Development Domain" and not a part of the "American Political Domain" - the present realities of the prevailing Black Consciousness (and American consciousness in general) have these two domains inverted in their functional purpose to the masses.

As such Herman Cain's skin color was not "dark enough" to surmount the innate "offensiveness" that his ideology and political affiliations were to the prevailing Black consciousness of the day.

I make no apologies for Mr Cain.  "He made his own bed" - literally and figuratively.
The "Ideological Cover" - that fronts as "Racial Cover" that permitted those who "speak the right ideological language" after the public exposure of their own indiscretions will NOT be extended to Mr Cain for he is indeed an operative in the "American Political Domain". 

Certainly Mr Cain made a tactical error as he fired back at the arrangement of Black Progressive-Fundamentalists who were firing at him, referring to "Democrats who are Black" as "brainwashed".  While there is ideological overlap between Mr Cain and myself on some issues - I, unlike him, am not seeking a favorable standing in the "American Political Domain".  He could only resort to firing back insults, questioning Black people's loyalties to the Democratic Party while shooting down alternative strategy that comes from his mouth.   I assure Mr Cain that it was not "brainwashing" that compelled his ideological adversaries in blackface to stand united against his "9-9-9 Plan".  His flat tax plan is a direct assault upon the foundation of Progressivism - "Redistributive Tax And Spending" public policy.   In as much as a string of progressives are heard on the television, radio and in written media telling their troops that they must shift the conversation from "balanced budgets and austerity cuts" -world-wide over to "Income Inequality" and "Taxing The Rich" - it goes without saying that they saw Cain as a "Brother From Another Mother" long before Cain said as much about the Koch Brothers.   Cain was the blueprint of the vile "Republican Who Is Black" having come to life - in their view.

It is best that we use his saga as a checkpoint that details where this nation now stands with regards to the race and ideology dynamic and, more importantly how the "Black Racial Services Machine" which has no vested interest in admitting that IDEOLOGY does indeed trump RACE in this world of integrated ideological interests.  This sets the stage for those who know the truth to begin to disassemble the "flood protections" that allowed "Black political voices" to be represented in carved out districts because of RACIAL threats - now that it is clear to most that these are merely done for ideological and partisan advantage.  Worse yet the conditions within don't bear proof that the resident's interests are being advanced.  Only the interests of the elected officials and the related party.

To be clear - Cain supporters compromise their integrity as they base their continuing support for his candidacy by:

• Dismissing them as a scheme erected by his enemies
• Pointing to how "the enemy" does the very same thing and remains unscathed by the media operatives who are indicting "their guy" 

They show that they don't have the "moral behavior" card with the absolute integrity.  They merely use it more effectively as indictments against their enemies.  Indeed his wife, his two children and grandchildren surely experienced great disappointment that their family leader has been taken out by these issues that he got entangled in, long before the first Democrat fired a shot across his bow.  Mr Cain would be wise to try and restore these severed family bonds that his behavior - true or exaggerated.

As Long As Their Antics Are Disconnected To The Black Community The "Team Players" Will Dominate The Field

Ironically this same model of understanding about Cain loyalists is just as true with the "Black Racial Services Machine".  Instead of promoting the subject of "sexual morality" (or faithfulness in marriage) - they should be critically inspected regarding how their indictments of "systematic racism" as derived from "Disparate OUTCOMES" when America is placed in the seat of judgment is also the case in the areas that they have dominate control.

They receive and maintain their political power by their ability to convince their loyal supporters that:

• Their activism within the "American Political Domain" is for the purposes of correcting these "Disparate Outcomes" among the "Least Of These" communities they represent
• They centrally blame both American as  a whole and their ideological adversaries specifically for perpetuating the conditions by which "Disparate Outcomes" are achieved
• When THEY stand as the "Establishment Power" over the key institutions the community entrusted them with administrative and policy development responsibilities - the failure of these institutions to deliver the promised results is rendered as the "Benign Neglect" that the enemy fostered on his way to collapsing the system for his eventual return where he can profit.

The Black Progressive Media which is watching the above transaction complicitly follows along with the entire scheme, often acting as the "Timing Chain" which keeps the talking points in line and propagated out to everyone. 


What Is Next For Herman Cain and Bishop Long?

The Black community is in desperate need of a more TRANSPARENT AND EFFECTIVE INTERNAL INSTITUTIONAL GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORK.

The same forces that compel us to look past the shorthanded results that "their guy" ultimately delivered once placed on stage is the same force that needs to be compelled to commit to the INSTITUTIONAL INTEGRITY that will ultimately produce the DESIRED OUTCOMES - despite the temporary fall from grace of its leadership who are flawed and sinful human beings.

Some where between the act of impeaching a flawed man where he is burned at the stake and the blind eye turn to one's transgressions because he is too important of a figure the masses of followers to be heard spouting criticism (least they provide ammo to their common enemy) is the point where the masses are made stay focused on their long term agenda and, upon submitting themselves to that which has already been vetted throughout the millennium as worthy of being followed with the sufficient governance to keep "man" from molesting it for his own benefit - the people must be compelled to rise above their selfish interests to achieve the common good.  HOWEVER (and you knew I was going to put a check on your preferred nationalization strategy) - they must also accept that since "an elephant is consumed one small bite at a time" - it is fundamentally necessary that this agenda be carried out by INDIVIDUALS - all who are asked to do their own part - growing strong, competent and resourceful in the process.

  The irony of it all is that with so many so called "Christians" battling in the "American Political Domain" - though they all pray to "Jesus" with the hopes that his blessings will help their respective side "win the game" - it is rarely that they agree to have a civil discussion among themselves with "Jesus" walking with them, his two arms resting on both of their shoulders.

Maybe "Bishop Long" and "Rev Cain" could initiate such a discussion in the version 2.0 of their walk where they do a course correction, compelling others to walk the straight and narrow?
