Robert Traynham - The Resident Black Conservative A "The Grio.com" and "Obama's Rolex Watch With Roland Martin" asks if Black Conservatives took a hit as Herman Cain's fortunes fell?
The Black community is in for some harsh realities as the shifting tradewinds of the world blow away all that is not securely fastened.
If you make a cursory inspection of the prevailing Black political discourse you will hear more talk about individual politicians and their present standing than you will hear about BLACK PEOPLE'S STANDING.
For me as I make an assessment of Mr Cain's run at the little "Republican hill" on his way toward the larger hill of the general election - I knew that he would be the #1 attack subject in America (I will link to the blog post from earlier this year when I get a minute).
Herman Cain did himself in with a long term set of sexual interludes.
Herman Cain was NOT a victim of "racism".
Herman Cain was taken out for IDEOLOGICAL reasons.
Race merely shames the vector that the IDEOLOGICAL attack will be mounted in.
I am forced to applaud the wisdom of the commercial media sources - NBC Universal/ Washington Post Co/ NY Times and AOL Huffington Post in making their past investment in "Black representation" in their journalist staff. When it came time to provide their corporate news arm with cover as they attacked what I call a "Free Range Negro" - the worth of this investment showed clear.
I did not say RACISM as the motivating factor.
In the world of "Dark Matter" / "Anti-Matter" inspection we must look at the function that the "Black Racial Services Machine" provides in the way of protection. Just as they receive steady Tweets from "Media Matter" regarding any double entendre on racism said against Obama as a means of riling up Black people as this feel is entered into the Black press distribution - so is the case that it is true that the White Progressive Cheshire Foxes who called Herman Cain -who is an educated man - "a clown", "stupid", "ignorant", " a fool".
What we saw in this entire escapade is that the present prevailing Black Consciousness is fully INTEGRATED into the American Political Domain. PERIOD. Dr Ronald Daniels is correct in his analysis that "ideological struggle" today trumps the "racial struggle". It is the sensitivities of RACE that is merely used to exploit the desired ends in the IDEOLOGICAL conquest.
As I dutifully inspect Black Progressive-Fundamentalism by consuming its direct feeds and also mainstream Progressive sources the patterns of their antics become clear. They must OWN THE NARRATIVE. If they ever fail at this point the "Lumpen prolitariate" will not only begin to "Occupy" as a show of their frustrations - they will also turn against those who are in power. This includes the very progressive brothers who received their INVESTMENT based upon the promise of change.
While you all were looking at Herman Cain - the Republican that you were not going to vote for - I was looking at how often the news stories of the pressing interests of Black people were knocked off of the front page of the various Progressive blogs, newspapers, Black-Wing Talk Radio and general discussions among Blacks in general.
The Black community lacks an agent of transparency that "keeps the eye on the prize", ensuring that our interests are advanced - while not getting caught up in the METHODOLOGY (progressivism or conservatism). With the theme of "Popularity Does Not Equal Effectiveness" as my stand - it is sadly true that those Embedded Confidence Men who have influence over our people are masters of group dynamic.
Herman Cain received more negative scrutiny from the "Black Racial Services Machine" than did Commander In Chief Obama in his claim that the international coup in Libya along with 4 African colonial powers was a "Humanitarian Mission". I no longer attempt to reconcile the imbalance within our community. The only thing that I can do is detail the source of the backpain that comes from carrying someone else's water.
(Note: You did not ever see me "endorse Cain". I merely volleyed the "bread and circuses" that were received from various operatives within the Black community back into the BLAX News reports. I will not register a vote for any presidential candidate in 2012 - just as the case in 2008. My goal is to STUDY how Black people are made to respond in the "American Political Domain" at the expense of the development of our "Community Cultural Consciousness & Organic Competency Development Domain". Sadly we now see that the imperialist United States military only needs to place a "favorable Commander In Chief" in power to have 3 Somali "pirates" to be shot in the head with cheers from Black Americans. Let's just hope that the Philadelphia Police do not adopt this tactic as they use the video clips from you all to substantiate their policy.)

You obviously have been hanging around too many Black National-Socialist Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism Chasers on TVOne to craft an article focused upon the proper framework.
* Herman Cain can't get elected to a "Mission Accomplished City" that has to make massive layoffs of municipal service union workers due to insolvency - his party and ideology retaining power after the fact
* Herman Cain won't get appointed to a school board of a Black majority school district - roiled by academic performance problems with its accreditation at risk - and have the balance of its Black constituency proud to see a "Black" and "progressive" leader over the schools - despite the results
* Herman Cain's presence on the bench in municipal or state court - with the assumption that he will dole out "fair and progressive" rulings on the young Black males that come before him WOULD NOT allow him to escape charges that he is a part of those forces that keep "The New Jim Crow" plan to destroy the Black community by locking up our Black males.
Mr Traynham - your mistake is the same mistake that the balance of the Black media and the implanted operatives make: YOU FOCUS ON THE "POLITICIAN" while failing to focus supremely on the CONDITION OF BLACK PEOPLE - decades after ingesting the CONCOCTION THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE CURE.
Mr Traynham - I just listened to Harvard Professor Randall Kennedy on NPR (See "Radio Times") where he argued that Black kids today STILL suffer acutely from the ravages of slavery and Jim Crow. As I study comprehensively the forces that bear down upon the president day Black Consciousness - I am forced to accept that in Kennedy's view (and other Black Progressive-Fundamentalists) a little Black girl and boy sitting in the 1st grade seat - will matriculate through an ECOSYSTEM that "favorable progressives now dominate" that will have LESS OF AN IMPACT in molding them into the pillars of our community than what the TRADE WINDS OF RACISM AND (REPUBLICAN) WHITE SUPREMACY will cast them down to the ground as they try to fly.
Mr Traynham - the challenge for Black America - after taking the medicine that Bayard Ruskin told us back in 1968 would cure us of our ills (by VOTING and voting for Democrats) is for us as a community of people to separate the "Methodology" (voting) from the protection of our PERMANENT INTERESTS (the actual ATTAINMENT of these promised ends).
As it stands right now - whomever is watching Black people and plotting on how they might use our grievances to extract our votes (by creating and funding "The Grio.com" for example) do an excellent job at keeping Black people IDEOLOGICALLY UNIFIED as Progressives. What those who are interested in protecting the Black Community's interests need to see, however, is that what is POPULAR with Black people as the way forward does not in and of itself prove to be EFFECTIVE MOVEMENT FORWARD.
Today popularity functions as a protection racket. A Black Progressive in power who - has Black unemployment rise on his watch - is not likely run out of office on a rail. Instead various sycophants stand up and provide editorial cover for why the "right progressive" went in the "wrong direction" on our key interests of employment or academics.
Herman Cain - a Black man who has had no elective office also is a Black man who has never had the POWER to receive an abundance of "Equal Black Ballots" in the promise that if this INVESTMENT was made.......our fortunes would be lifted.
If you sir are a "Black Conservative" (and you join with the newly self-described conservative Goldie Taylor as at least 2 on The Grio staff) then your interest should be in seeing through the fog that the Progressive-Fundamentalists throw up and demand a transparent accounting of the ORGANIC INCREASE that our people have seen as we matriculate through the ecosystem that favorable progressives now dominate WITHIN THE BLACK COMMUNITY.
With all "Black conservative finger prints" off of the steering wheel - when will our people be compelled to pull out the GPS on their smartphones and compare our present location based on this device instead of reading the narrative of where we stand that The Grio/ The Root / News One/ Black America Web and HuffPo Black voices TELL US WERE WE ARE and if off course - which Republican pushed us off course has they snuck into our community in the middle of the night and altered the controls?
