This is an accurate representation between the flaw of the Republican per his tendency to look at the condition of the 1% and make an interpolation about the condition of the rest of America, as contrasted by the Black Lumpenprolitariate Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism Chaser - who looks at the strong standing of Black Progressive Elected Officials as an inference to how the rest of the Black community is doing as their the community lifts them up in continued support.
We are asked to live vicariously through their electoral success, putting our own "community permanent interests" into forbearance ask any criticism of these "Favorable Elected Officials" by the Black Community members in good standing............might ruin their reelection chances.
At no other time in our history as free people in America has the Black community engaged in the gamesplay of American Politics than our activities of today as seen in the "Malcolm X Political Football Game". The touchdowns scored in this game have increasingly little bearing on the conditions on our streets.
The line of reasoning heard from "thought leaders" like Harvard Professor Randall Kennedy provide ample evidence as to our inability to gain traction where it counts, despite these apparent "successes" on the playing field.
WHYY's Radio Times: (audio interview) Race, politics and the President with Harvard Professor Randall Kennedy

Harvard Prof Randall Kennedy
Progressive Fundametnalist
His parents departed from the KKK laden South Carolina to Washington DC where Randall was able to escape this threat and matriculate through an academic career that allowed him to live his present privileged life. At the time of his in Washington DC had escaped the threats that caused his parents to abscond. Today the young Black males who live in the 8th Ward of Washington DC face a similar threat to their peaceful existence but this force is not called a "Civil Rights Violation" by Prof Kennedy because their RACE rather than resulting TERROR matters more in his calculus of social order.

Tom Dubois - The Boondocks
(From Wikipedia):
Tom's political ideologies are more towards Liberalism and as a result he is a Democrat. Tom's passion for his political ideologies are marked by an incident where he kidnaps Ralph Nader during the 2004 United States Presidential election, who he believes is a threat that could stunt the Democratic vote. |
I will dispense with the long hand analysis of Prof Kennedy's interview on the subject of the presidentincy of Obama while glaringly glossing over the conditions within the Black community. Instead I will use the table below to highlight the ironies of Prof Kennedy's emphasis on Obama.
Prof Randall Kennedy's commentary
|
Necessary "Constructive Feedback"
|
If you read no further - please try to digest this one point about Prof Kennedy's irony
1) The Kennedy family was forced to leave the state of South Carolina because of the threat of racial violence that his parents through threatened his family during the "Civil Rights Era".
|
Approximately 7 years ago my next door neighbor - a Black male and his family moved out of the "Mission Accomplished" area of Clayton County Georgia because he feared the influence of gangs upon his daughter who was then of high school age.
Ironically this "Black Flight Progressive" chose to move into a Conservative dominated county to the south of Clayton. My neighbor and his wife believed that their children's "permanent interests" were better served by living within a community that is controlled by their ideological adversaries".
I am of the belief that Prof Kennedy and others who think as he does sees the threat that his family faced in Civil Rights Era South Carolina as a SUPERIOR threat to that which any Black family is compelled to vacate a "Mission Accomplished Zone" to distance themselves from.
|
2) Prof Kennedy argues about the damage that slavery has cast upon the modern day Black psyche and how our present economic institutions within the inner city are not capable of transforming our people.

|
It is my opinion that some skilled practitioners know all of the details of "how Black people think". They are Black themselves after all.
Too often what is said that can draw agreement from Black people can also prove to be ironic and perfectly discriptive of the source of perpetuation of the "misaligned consciousness" that I frequently speak of.
When we convert Prof Kennedy's "damage" aguments into the operation of our local academic institutions - for example - WHY should we bother to believe that "the buck stops here" with our schools and EVERY EQUAL HUMAN BEING that walks through the front door (students, teachers, administrators, parents, interested adults in the community)? It is a foregone conclusion, per the "congregatinal contentment" effect that Prof Kennedy's argument about national-systematic alignment and conspiracy that NOTHING that a conscious group of Black people who are seeking to transform Black children via the institution that they all agree to gather in - can do to countervail the negative forces that attempt to have this Black child - the vessel of our hope - from crashing to the ground - just as the hatred that is cast upon her desires.
I am NOT asking for us to place HOPE against what is hopeless. I AM suggesting that a line of thinking that ultimately serves the poisonus and perverted notion that we are "The LEAST OF THESE" be striken from our community's consciousness. It is the foundation of the struggle to achieve our desired standard of living by focusing upon the National Government's "social justice obligation" to us all.
From this line of thinking we are drawn to scheme in the political domain for a way to obtain "national resources" that have been denined in violation of our "social justice rights".
We will fail to see the IRONY that the suggestion that we clean the building within which our children will spend 7 hours of their weekday is called "racist" and "offensive" yet the congregation is made to believe that upon achieving success in their struggle the bathrooms will be made clean as a sign of the equal regard that the greater society has for our people, our "social justice rights" having been secured.
The thought that the RESPECT for our institutions might start with asking all who seek to prosper and become edified from the cultural and social order within to maintain the common areas AS IF these were facilities in their own residence is a though too far out of the limited vision that this ideology grants to our people.
Why bother seeking to reform these academic instittions of our own, by our own hand, when - any physician that matriculates through them and returns to service our people might have to touch our feces with his gloves as he gives us a prostate exam - his finger stuck within our rectum?
By the call of "social justice" let the STATE provide someone else who's finger will be smelly in support of our consumer consciousness!!!!

3) Both Prof Kennedy and the show host make a glancing reference to the INCREASING econonomic malaise within the Black Community. Prof Kennedy is quite satisfied that Obama had tried to pass several iniatives to stop the economic bleeding and that the opposition party has stopped him.
 |
While the claim that 'Education Is The Great Equalizer"
is popularly spoken, the treatment of our institutions
BY those who walk through the front door each day
(and those who pack their lunches) proves otherwise. |
|
When I tell you that you had better not enter an UNSTRUCTURED debate with a progressive-fundamentalist - this argument by Prof Kennedy is a reference model as to my warning.
I have stated constantly that it is important to:
1) Pull out a Time Line
2) Prevent them from having a Debate About Obama when "Obama is the cherry on top of a longitudinal Black Progressive struggle" in which our "Black Community Development Consciousness" was hijacked into politics.
The only way to successfully refute Prof Kennedy and others is to keep the argument on the question of our long term struggle, demanding that they tell you why a $485 billion jobs program that promises to employ about 2 million people (of all races) should be accepted and advocated by Black people when:
1) There are 4M Blacks unemployed
2) There are about 14M Americans unemployed
3) There are in total 17M Americans unemployed when those who have given up are included
4) There are 25M Americans total seeking full time work when we include those who are working part time just to pay the bills
The time line effectively thwarts the Randall Kennedys and Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons and Rep Fredrica Wilson (D-FL) who seek to have Black people engage in a present TRANSACTIONAL FIGHT against US House Republicans.
Black people who are transparent and in defense of our community's permanent interests should be asking WHY is it that more than 50 years of electorial investments with the promises of jobs and economic prosperity should come down to our support of this piece of federal legislation?
As we look at the architecture of the Black community and our economy - WHY isn't there more girth to our composition after so many years of promises and struggle?
Indeed stories of "Blacks at the bottom of the economic totem pole" are abundant (see this weeks' "Final Call". ) The vast majority of these call outs are done with the understanding that the SYSTEM/NATION - not the "Black Community Development Methodology" that has been accepted will be indicted and convicted as the reason for our economic stagnation. |
4) Prof Kennedy makes an open challenge on behalf of Black America and Obama: "Show us a better alternative to Obama (and the Democratic Party) to advance the interests of Black people and we will support the alternative"
|
This is a very popular argument technique with Black Progressive-Fundamentalists. They have conditioned Black people to think "TRANSACTIONALLY" - looking at our present needs and who is dangling what in front of us.
The key resource necessary to counter this argument is SELF RESPECT and DEFENSE OF ONE'S OWN DIGNITY.
The "Black Struggle For Organic Competency Development" did not start with President Obama's campaign for president and his election. It didn't even start in the Post-King Assassination Meeting between civil rights leaders, the plans of which were voiced by Bayard Rustin in 1968.
Our people's desire for uplift is an INTRINSIC desire that all "Equal Human Beings" have.
The period of our enslavement subverted this desire as the physical attacks and mental anguish rightfully forced the majority of our people to channel their physical and intellectual prowess into the industry of other people - who by the laws of America at the time were their "owners".
The reason why I point to Bayard Rustin's words in 1968 as the starting point of our present day standing is because - FOR THE FIRST TIME OF OUR PRESENCE IN AMERICA - Black People had 100% free reign on how we would invest our "Black Community Development Consciousness" with recourse against any molestation of our efforts in voicing our opinions via the vote.
Please don't be fooled. The presence of present day tricks of "voter suppression" cannot be claimed to be evidence that "nothing has changed" any more than the murder seen nearly every morning on the news is evidence that unchecked lynching is still among us.
THE LAW and its ENFORCEMENT is what matters as the voice of the nation. Operatives want us to focus on the presence of a violator of the law as a means of compelling our fear.
I maintain that Bayard Rustin, promoted as the voice of the Black Racial Services Machine, to tell Black people that: "We will prosper as a community by voting for Democrats in every position possible to advance Progressive Public Policy - for the advancement of our Black Interests". (You can rent or purchase "Brother Outsider" - the documentary of Rustin to see this role that Rustin played)
The answer to Prof Kennedy's challenge to "Pick A Better Ideology Or Party" is answered by the knowledge that WE ARE PRESENTLY LIVING IN HIS IDEOLOGY'S AND PARTY'S "Mission Accomplished Moment". By any measure the Black Community has been loyal to the methodology expressed by Rustin and the other "Democrats who are Black Leaders". In every area where our people live in high concentrations - Rustin's vision is in place. Every one of our key "civic service institutions" are dominated as planned:
- Our Schools that are charged with Preparing Our Children As Professional Service Agents for our Communities
- The Mayor who controls the Police Dept
- The City Council which sets Local Economic Policy
- District Attorneys who prosecute people
- Circuit Court Judges that run the Criminal Defense Trials
- The Sheriffs that Lock People Up
- AND the Prevailing Cultural Consciousness within our Households
The answer to Prof Kennedy's challenge is not to search for a Republican, Green Party or Independent alternative to the present Democratic Progressive behemoth that is marinated into the fabric of our community consciousness.
The answer is to not be drawn into the framing of the question.
WHY IS THE BLACK COMMUNITY.......(with this week's Final Call in hand, referencing headline of a story within)....................."Black People Are At The Bottom Of Every Economic Measure In America" - having been surpassed by even Hispanics.
Normally a "Mission Accomplished Moment" (Politically and Ideologically) is not met with the news that all of your "exercise" has left you in your relative place. In normal circumstances such a people begin to look at:
- What they were compelled to do by those who have their confidence
- What are the motives of these people
- How they can defend their interests (investments) in the future by understanding the distinction between their interests and the methodology (voting loyalty) that these - the Embedded Confidence Men - compel our people to invest in
The proper rebuttal to Prof Kennedy's challenge is to note that he is speaking about the "American Political Domain". Make note of how much of our "community riches" have been invested with tentative victories - not of our own - but long term immobilization.
I counter the claim of "Permanent Damage From Slavery" by demanding that each interval of time that is committed to our Community Development be forced to show SUFFICIENT INCREASE between the start
of this time period and the end. The word "sufficient" is a necessary qualifier because Negros some people have the propensity to make long "check list" of their accomplishments, the length of the list indicating the low threshold of for their appeasement. Their condition in the real world showing how much this "checklist" proves that their consciousness is askew from the real world of Black people.
The alternative to the development methodology that Prof Kennedy and other Black Progressive-Fundamentalists have stood up resides in the space outside of American politics. The "Black Community Cultural Consciousness and Organic Competency Development Domain". Instead of judging our people by electoral success of our favored people - we choose to look at the condition of the INSTITUTION through which our people matriculate through for mass development. The few "favorable politicians" in place as proof of our success is replaced by the evidence of ample improvement in the vital statistics for the Black community:
- Graduation rates with training in line with the community needs
- Businesses in the community owned by members of the community - to employ community members
- The state of health of our people based on the successful alignment of our dietary and physical activities with these desirable ends
- The public safety of our community reflective of the consciousness about the community to respect and defend other members rather than seeing them as targets of opportunity
|
5) Prof Kennedy's one disagreement with Obama is about his lack of staunch support for "Same Sex Marriage". However Kennedy and the radio host are smitten by the fact that Obama's views on the subject are "Evolving".
| Progressive-Fundamentalists need to transform their radical nation of "Same Sex Marriage" into a matter of RIGHTS, putting aside the implications upon social order that has been forged long ago out of chaos. They, the enlightened few, can't bring themselves to ponder if in the history of mankind the pairing of one man with one woman might have been a stricture that was enforced out of a societal need for order - in line with what our natural human form indicates as our de facto pairing.
After successfully "right-ifying" this notion the Progressive-Fundamentalist then takes control over the vernacular. Anyone who dares observe that the expressed goals of two gay men to "have a baby" is not blocked by society's admonition of such an act but by the inability of their respective partner non-complimentary reproductive organs to produce life - is called a "homophope" - A word that has been adopted strictly for the purposes of intimidation.
The way to counteract Prof Kennedy's unattached progressivism is to note that if we were to place him in charge of the societal order in North Philly, the Bronx, the Pittsburgh Community in Atlanta or Lawndale in Chicago - his theories that LOOSEN societal strictures are similarly incompetent in creating order where there is dysfunction.
One day the Black community will attempt to place a COST upon our present misalignment between our cultural enforcements and the resulting anemia in our engine of uplift. We hear treatises detailing the consequences of the government's investment in prisons over education. Who has enumerated the cost of the Black Racial Services Machine's unwillingness to achieve uplift THROUGH the people as expressed through the institutions that they now control?
We clearly see that the notion of "RIGHTS" - as expressed by the Progressive-Fundamentalists that dominate our community is a function of what the national government affords to us. When it comes to these same people turning to us - those who they call "The Least Of These" for evidence of "organic output" - they are forced to turn back to the system of government and blame it for our failed output.
The truth is that it is THEY who are in a grand "protection racket" - agreeing to not make an indictment against "Progressive-Fundamentalism" because they seek to avoid the pain of one of their own stepping upon the ingrown toenail that represents their infected body of beliefs.
The proper rebuttal of Prof Kennedy and any other Secular Progressive-Fundamentalist on the matter of the radical destruction of Traditional Marriage is to FORCE THEM to prove that their theories, which are hostile to order - can produce ORGANIC UPLIFT for our people.
They prefer to outsource this uplift to the greater society.
By keeping their outward indictments they keep our people "Struggling". They escape the necessary "self examination" of the fruit that their efforts have brought to our community - after so many years of "struggle".

The missing section of Prof Kennedy's comments is about the ability of Black Americans - the wealthiest "Negroes" on the planet to be able to take our SYSTEM OF LIVING and wealth that we have crafted within the protection of America - to other "least of these" groups in the diaspora - pruning and grafting this system for their long term betterment.
Today, those in America who are struggling just to make it - despite doing what their leaders suggested they do - are in no position to help anyone else, lest they first help themselves. |
| The US Military & Global Imperialism "After Obama" | One massive omission (beyond the gloss over of the economic condition within the Black Community) is Prof Kennedy's failure (or unwillingness) to talk about COMMANDER IN CHIEF OBAMA and his military exploits. NOT from the perspective of what the US Military did under his leadership. BUT how the Black Community responded - the difference being none other than Obama "The Favorable Black Progressive Democrat" In Power.
Today on on Al Jezeera News there is a report on the continuing blockade of an American supply route through Pakistan because of the drone strikes that killed several dozen Pakistani military members a few weeks ago. This news is not going to be reported through the Black Progressive news sources as it indicts Commander In Chief Obama as "the same ole same". The report, on Russian Television News (RT) details how the American CIA has used drones to fire at least 23 attacks within Pakistan over the past several years.
Think back over the last 20 years about how the references to the CIA - in Haiti, South America and various parts of Africa was akin to unwarranted meddling by the American Imperialists in an attempt to undermine democracy.
All of this is gone in the linkage between mainstream Progressive channels (ie: Democracy Now) - which still carry these stories and the Black Progressive syndicate sources - who take these stores and propagate them into the Black community as a means of waging further indictments against the right wing war hawks atop the American Imperialists powers.
Prof Kennedy, I believe had to purposely stay away from this subject. It is painfully obvious that within the protection racket that Commander In Chief Obama is encased within by the Black Progressive Establishment - the American Machine which largely does its thing, regardless of who is in power - has been given a needed forbearance against "Anti-War Rallies". Today that energy has been channeled into "The Occupations".
If there was a greater commitment to transparency and intellectual honesty - Prof Kennedy would admit that the will to protest against "The System" (among Black people) is intractably linked to the ideology of WHO is in power NOT the "offenses" that they transact, many of which would have been violations of their high moral stances.
There is no possible way that an American lead coup against the sovereign African nation of Libya, sold to America as a "humanitarian intervention" could have been transacted by anyone else BUT a "Black Progressive President" in good standing with Black America.
When I, a Black man, saw the ease at which 8 Libyan ships that were docked were destroyed by the NATO air power - BECAUSE they represented a potential threat to the seaborne delivery of 'humanitarian aide' to the Libyan people - the truth about the military power of America and the "Western Powers" was cemented as a foregone conclusion. It became clear to me that the job of conscious Black Americans was to remain CONSISTENT, least this attack become a precedent for future attacks upon Africa. If this "humanitarian mission" was sold with such ease to our people - just imagine what we will buy into 100 years from now as at least some of our people migrate to assist in the development of these lands that were scared by colonialism ? |
Sadly "Black America" is not treated to any structured rebuttal of the prevailing consciousness - as expressed by Prof Kennedy. I am forced to credit the operatives in the larger community who see that we carry "equal Black ballots" for usurpation while they make sure that they keep their personal derision of the people holding these ballots to themselves, so that they are not made upset, withholding their ballot.
