I am sorry for your loss but you ultimately made the right decision, despite the duress of violence prompting you.
Simply put - It was not worth you receiving a "Street Pirate's Hysterectomy" as he pulled the trigger of the gun that he had placed upon your belly.   You no doubt have a greater and brighter future per your attempts to better yourself through education.  No doubt that one day you want to have children.   It is bad enough that some Black female is going to slip up and be conjoined with one of the "Street Pirates" that mugged you as she has a baby with him.  He gave you a brief highlight as to how he will likely treat her IF see also stands in the way of what he wants from her.

The best thing that you can do after having passed through this unfortunate situation is to make sure that IF you do have a little Black boy of your own that you and the father of this child comprehensively engage with this, the would be "Pillar Of The Black Community's Uplift", ensuring that you instill the proper consciousness within this young man.  This is the only way to reduce the number of fellow Black females who are seen on the 6 o'clock news as victims of a "Street Pirate Attack".

As a result the Street Pirate knows to destroy all human beings and security devices that stand between him and the booty that he wishes to acquire.

The COMMUNITY Needs To Ask The Very Same Question That They Are Heard Asking When A Community Member Is Found To Be HIV Positive:  

• WHAT INSTITUTION FAILED TO EDUCATE THIS COMMUNITY MEMBER ON PROPER RELATIONSHIPS?    
• WHAT HATRED DID THE PEOPLE IN THIS INSTITUTION HAVE FOR THIS YOUNG LAD THAT ALLOWED HIM TO BECOME A STREET PIRATE?
• HOW DO WE FORCE THE INSTITUTION TO SHED ITS BIGOTRY AND INSTEAD COME MORE IN LINE WITH "ORGANIC AND LOCAL" SOCIAL JUSTICE?
