The "Things Will Be Better When You Elect US Into Power" Report: Mission Accomplished City Of East Point GA Erupts In Political Discord

Mayor Of The City Of East Point Sues The City Days Before The Election

Do you recall the city in metro Atlanta that had a housing voucher give away that attracted 30,000 people?   The one which handed out an application for a voucher rather than an actual guarantee for housing?  The one which could have easily put the form on the Internet or placed a stack of copy paper in every major retail outlet in the city instead of triggering 30,000 people to spend one day waiting in a parking lot?

Yes that city.
This was East Point, GA - to the immediate south of Atlanta.

Well it turns out that the murmur of infighting between the mayor and various city council members (all Democrats) is now fully inflamed.

When it comes to the operatives within the Black community it is important to understand that this internal battle is the worst case scenario for them.  Just as the "Change" signs in Clayton County from 2008 were all about one Democratic party progressive clique attempting to get rid of another Democratic Party Progressive clique out of power for failing to deliver as promised.

The Reason For "Redistributive Public Policy" On Display

I am one of the few voices who publicly call out the discombobulation that is at hand with regard to "The Struggle".   As those who seek to promote "Progressive Public Policy" by conquering an increasing amount of seats of power through which to leverage this power - the Embedded Confidence Men also realize that this is a precarious strategy.

As they take over power in certain cities and counties they also produce an environment where they are "all alone, all by themselves".  In the case of East Point, without the presence of a large industrial base or ideological enemy to execute demagogic rhetoric upon - they were forced to generate the needed funds for the city owned utilities by substantially raising the rates upon "The Least Of These".

"The Least Of These" who originally danced at the inaugural balls of the city officials that they elected in to power are today moving their feet in a straight north-south motion as they march down the streets seeking their ouster.

Few venues who might carry this story will bother to talk about the public policy struggles that have taken place over the years in East Point and the neighboring College Park.   Both cities have a large population of renters rather than homeowners.  Many of these renters are the working poor and/or single mothers - as the television news story indicated.

No being poor is not a crime.

The point that will be missed, however, are the finger prints that are upon the city by the Civil Rights Pharisees.  The previous efforts to build housing for high income residents as a means of building up a more sound property tax base was undercut by the "Civil Rights Pharisees".   They saw this as a scheme to move poor people out of the city of College Park - as "undesirables".

Notice the presence of Georgia State Senator Vincent Fort - an "Occupier Of Black Community Position Of Confidence".    Fort lead the way in preventing the redevelopment of Fort McPherson from becoming an "island for rich people in da hood".   He desired a large track of land on the inside of the gates to be used for low income people and homeless families.

After attending one of the community meetings I posted a blog entry questioning this logic.  With an ABUNDANCE of abandoned and foreclosed upon homes surrounding Fort McPherson - why not fill these homes up with "the poor".  (Note: I said abandoned not "run down".  Most of these homes received substantial capital investment while they were at play in the "flipping market".   Today they have new siding and a paint job but do not have anyone living within them).

With East Point and College Park having had the development of their high income residences being squandered - "The Least Of These" residents are forced to bear the costs of the utility expenses. (note: the housing development behind the Camp Creek Marketplace in East Point represents a substantial increase of middle and upper middle class Black people into the city)

In the process of maximizing their political power via elected seats AND weighing down the marketplace with their ideology which, if left all alone is not sustainable - the forces of Progressive-Fundamentalism is now forced to protest against itself.

Watch out Georgia and the Federal Government - the only way they can work this out is to demand an influx of money from you.   The aggregate set of theories will not be removed due to incompetence.  They will merely insert another progressive into power who makes promises to the people prior to getting into office and noting the crisis.
