If anti-death penalty pastor Rev Dr. Raphael Warnock would tell his congregation that for one day they are going to be holding church service in the wide open parking lost of the abandoned 'Target' store on Old National High Way he could also ask the parishioners of the "World Changers Missionary Baptist Church" to walk the few blocks up the street for a mass "community prayer session".   Their common goal being to stop the "Street Executions" that have been occurring on this strip known as "Old National High Way" over the past several years.  So much so that College Park Georgia now has the highest per capita violence rate of any other city in metro Atlanta.

AJC Story On College Park

College Park, a city of 19,936 that borders Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, repeated as No. 1 in metro Atlanta in the three main rankings: violent, property and total crime. It averaged 1,178 crimes per 10,000 people in 2009. East Point was next, at 870 crimes per 10,000. Atlanta, with 10 times more population than most of its surrounding cities, had 734 crimes per 10,000 people.

"I don't think it is a safe place to live," said Charles Winkler, whose niece was murdered last year with her roommate, shot execution-style in their College Park apartment.
"People can remember little girls walking to an evening show, and you wouldn't dare walk the streets now," said Jeff Sunnergren, owner of a College Park print plate-making business. "You're going to be in for a shock." 

I state a while ago that for the present consciousness of the Black community to be effective and responsive we need to EXTRACT the "Essence Of Racism" in order to distill the fact that:

• Our people are STILL being Murdered For The Purposes Of "Sending A Message"
• Our women are STILL being Raped For The Purposes Of Imposing Male Superiority Upon Them
• Our school students are STILL Being Systematically Mismanaged Out Of A Quality Education, Preventing Them From Matriculating Through A Well Disciplined "Educational Environment" Where They Can Thrive

We now need to understand that this demon that works against our community's interests is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY POSSESSOR of "Equal Men".

Sadly the assumption of Black Inferiority coupled with the unwillingness to go against the grain of those who our people put into power as we defend our community's permanent interests as a separate and distinct resource from that of our political and ideological interests - make it so that these assaults upon our people will continue but never will they rise to the THREAT that is enumerated when an enemy that is valuable for the INDICTMENT that we can all unify behind in advancement of these ideological and political interests.

By speaking out against this steady stream of Black slayings there is a possibility that that INDICTMENT might turn inward and step on some "Ingrown Toenails", causing a 'hit dog to holla' aloud.

Zero murders it NOT a realistic goal at this point in time
It is surely reasonable to demand a more effective MANAGEMENT AND MITIGATION PLAN  A plan by which each area that received the investment of our "Black Community Development Consciousness" - with the hopes of prosperity and safety for remaining unified with the mission - now be parceled into sections in which an active effort to intervene in the lives of all of the young males that fit the PROFILE of those who have shown a lack of "conflict resolution skills".

The question is not WHAT AM I DOING to initiate this.
The more accurate question is: What is OUR community doing to collectively show that we VALUE BLACK LIFE as much as we challenge AMERICA to live up to its creed of equality?
Instead of "Equality Under The Law" this is a situation of "Equality Expressed Into The Public Discourse - Emanating FROM The Black Community Into General Ecosystem Where We Live In Common.

This is not "Blame The Victim".
This is "Reduction Of VICTIM HEAD COUNTS By The FBI Bureau Of Statistics"

From The AJC Story About This Morning's Shooting In College Park:

A man was found dead in a vehicle after a shooting and car crash  was reported in south Fulton County early Sunday morning, police said.

Fulton County police responding to a report of a crash shortly after midnight found a vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the 5300 block of Old National Highway. Inside, police found a man, 25, who seemed to have died from gunshot wounds. The man was not identified.

Another man in the car had been shot in the arm. A third man was reportedly not injured.

Fulton police said in an email that the victim was shot on Pleasant Hill Road near Hunters Forest Lane but was able to drive a distance of about 1 mile before crashing.
