Notice the perspective of the title. It is from "Within The Black Community" and then cast upon an object of affection.
I will now detail the key points that I debated prior to writing this post.
I have a personal ban on using "Slave Analogies" and thus the "Massa Wez Sick" that a frequent debate adversary that I am thinking of right now frequently uses - was off of the table in my description. The sight of a free Black man generating "slave analogies" is tired and must be buried 12 feet deep, surpassing the depths of the word "Ninja" which was ceremonially buried but to no avail.
"Mass Wez Sick" is, of course, a negative reference to a Black person, cast as a slave, who cares more about "Massa's property and health" than about his own health. This done for the PLEASURE of "Massa".
Clearly this is not the disposition that Black America - with its prevailing consciousness has with regards to President Obama.
Part two relates to the latest overture from the Obama Administration as they open their door to hear from Black people regarding how he might address the challenge of "Depression Level Black Unemployment". In the context of my longitudinal study of Black folks.....................I am not keying in on what "Obama says or does". I am more interested in watching the "Obama Fist Bump Black Press", the "Black Wing Talk Radio" messaging machine - and of course the chatter that I hear among fellow Black people.
- MSNBC's "The Grio.com" - "Obama Seeks Ideas On Reducing Black Joblessness"
- Washington Post Co's "The Root.com" - White House Focuses On Black Concerns
In watching the "Obama Fist Bump Black Press" operate in the manner of "A Fish Don't Know He Wet" there is a treasure trove of information that can be captured in understanding what a former journalist noted about 60 years ago: "There Is No 'Black Agenda' There Is Only A 'Progressive Agenda' With A LampBlacked Coating Up It". OK - George S Schuyler, long time opinion writer for the original Pittsburgh Courier did not say those exact words. These words fit with his conclusions - after a lifetime of immersion with them. First as "one of them" and then as a wily critic of their antics.
It is easier to under stand them as "Democrats who are Black" rather than as "Black People working for the best interests of the Black Community" - using Progressive Public Policy as the method for our advancement and the Democratic Party as the vehicle. They have long ago dropped any pretense of what they are and what their function is. I am not mad at them though.
What it shows is that the Black community has, in truth, been integrated into America sufficiently enough to have our "Permanent Interests" INTEGRATED WITH the "American Political Domain". Despite all of the racism chasing that the "Embedded Confidence Men" and their organizations do for the purposes of forging congregational unity against a threat - the truth is there is more net loss to the interests of uplift for Black America by which they DON'T TALK ABOUT due to their ideological entrapment than what they do choose to talk about. (example: the drive to end the "death penalty" at a time when Black people who make up only 13% of the population are nearly 50% of the homicide victims.)
As "Activists Of Leisure" - the list of "life or deaths for the Negro community" have been brought under under effective governance - where no attack upon a Black person can go unprosecuted - they understand that Black people can be compelled into action by their promotion of an "external threat" than we have the appreciation of how the failure to build up effective internal governing structures damns us - AND that the people who continue to draw upon our conscious attention are the one's who will suffer the blame - if a prevailing balance of the Black community grows beyond their contentment of "unity" and instead understand that "unity" has not enabled them to purchase a basket full of food for their family at the Super-Wal-Mart.
There is no voice that is doggedly defending the "Black Community's Riches" against even the INTERNAL confidence men. Ideological sameness and the perceived value of "Black Unity" is all that is necessary to ensure that the "Black Racial Services Machine" continues running - unchallenged by their failures that we are made to suffer from.
The third element which triggered this post was my monitoring of 'Black-wing talk radio" this morning. The local "fight the power" radio station discussed the Penn State Football Coaching scandal and the "Republican Debate" last night.
One frequent caller deposited his brilliance about Coach Paterno and then quickly moved to his area of expertise - What the Republicans are doing.
Please understand my position. I feel no motivation to defend the GOP. My ire is raised ONLY when I hear Negroes "analyzing the GOP" AS IF after having "called them out" they have sufficiently justified the Black community's INVESTMENTS in the Democratic Party and Progressivism. In truth they have only achieved a level of pacification in their own minds. The conditions that remain in our community after all of the riches have been invested - yet few are willing to demand an accounting - is the weight of the water that we are made to carry for someone else's profit.
The caller said that "John Huntsman", the most liberal Republican on stage, "is the smartest one on stage " and "I can't see why the GOP does not promote him as their choice. He is a Mormon and he worked in the Obama administration is the only reason why they won't vote for him". Then he said " To be honest with you, Dr White, I am glad that they are not promoting a Republican with any sense. This means that Obama is going to waltz right back into the White House".
With this call you have to understand two things.
- There is NOTHING about "The Black Community" and how we are faring that is contained in this Negroe's consciousness. He knows the ideology and line of thinking that can get his vote. He can't bring himself to see that with all of the "Mission Accomplished Zones" where Black people live in our highest concentrations - having been sculpted as people who are FAVORABLE have been invested in by the 'Equal Black Ballot' - FAVORABILITY has NOT produced the desired results.
- He can't bring himself to see that HIS PRESENT CONSCIOUSNESS might be part of the problem. That nothing that the GOP can do to him and that nothing that Obama and the Democrats can do FOR HIM is ever going to change that which is radiating in his consciousness in its present state
"VOTING..........Against The Interests Of The Black Community IS OUR PROBLEM"
That first section was meant to only be an introduction that justifies my present arguments - based on careful observation.
I commented last week about the 'Opinion Polls' provided by Black people which indicated that "Black people are more hopeful about the future of America.................than are White folks". I was actually disappointed that opinion writer Clarence Paige accepted these numbers without bothering to first laugh and then give the proper background information.
You see - IF - as Professional Progressive Political Preacher Jesse Jackson said last week is true - "The GOP will stop at nothing, even harming the nation - in order to see that the Black man in the White House only serves one term in office".........................is it possible that BLACK PEOPLE can be compelled to:
- Place make up over our black eye
- Don a wing to cover up our bald spots
- Wear a girdle to have our protruding belly look fit and trim
- Go down to the Korean nail salon to cover up the finger nails that we have chewed to the bone due to nervousness and frustration
............all for the sake of prettying ourselves up for the "Date with Obama" in which we'll see him at the inaugural ball in January 2013?
Again, back to my crude analogy "Massa Wez Sick" is targeted at appeasing "Massa" so that he might be pleased with the connectedness that is shown to him in the way of loyalty.
"You need to HUSH your complaining so that other people don't see our pain and judge Obama harshly" is a very different assignment.
It speaks to the core corruption that the prevailing Black consciousness has achieved.
The consciousness that once had us going INTO POLITICS so that we might achieve favorable ends WITHIN THE BLACK COMMUNITY - now, thanks to the integration with the "American Political Domain" - our consciousness requires that we "keep on our shirts while the social worker is visiting" so that she won't see our protruding rib cage.
The same consciousness that once created an open market for selling food stamps for $0.40 cash on the dollar on Lansdowne Avenue in West Philly when I was growing up is the consciousness that has unfortunately taken over the prevailing Black political consciousness in America. This is NOT a tale about "Welfare Mentality". My argument is that this is a consciousness in which one must necessarily FAKE his own condition in order to transact some benefit in the end.
I have stated previously that the prevailing consciousness among our people has few prohibitions about assuming a "Black Inferior position". This is the case ONLY IF there is some benefit to be had at the end of the transaction. With the benefit in hand the shame felt from the previous self-inferiorization is quickly gotten over.
Nearly 2 years ago when the "East Point Georgia Housing Authority" handed out applications for housing vouchers - with only a few hundred openings on the waiting list - a crowd of 30,000 people came out to retrieve a piece of paper that was the application. I went on the scene in person, with my camera in hand.
At that time I stated that IF there was a voting booth positioned in the store front right next door to the housing voucher application distribution center - the consciousness that had been inculcated by the "Black Racial Services Machine" and their "White Progressive Cheshire Fox" Joint-Venture Partner over the several decades in which they have had dominate control over the Black Community's priorities and "Consciousness Development Institutions" any candidate that the people in their present consciousness believed could get them on the list - would have won with blow out proportions.
Please understand - the thoughts and behaviors of Black people are no different than those of any other. Candidate George Washington was said to have handed out liquor to voters during his campaign for a second term. The key distinction is that unlike Washington - the slave owner - the Black Racial Services Machine positions itself as a force of integrity - working for uplift of the Black Community - and thus would not "use our people" in such a manner.
The truth is - that a "Negro with an 'Equal Black Ballot' " IS OF VALUE to the Joint Venture Partnership.
The prevailing Black political motion of today cares far less that our people are made competent, able to produce our desired level of UPLIFT after being molded by our matriculation through the INSTITUTIONS that have been won over. The spirit of "Social Justice" has the state of "BEING IN RECEIPT OF SOCIAL JUSTICE ACCOUTERMENTS" as an equally valid outcome.
A fundamentalist does not allow the real world truth about his belief system derail the entrenched dogma that envelops his mind. As such a "Black Progressive-Fundamentalist" is not about to ask questions about the effectiveness of his ideology in instilling the promised benefits to Black people - after it has achieved 'authoritative establishment' status within the ecosystem where Black people are impacted the most by the forces that are provided to us.
He has conditioned "his flock" to believe that THE SYSTEM as it is presently constructed IS the reason he suffers and that the framework of struggle within the pluperfect consciousness that the leadership has bespangled upon the masses of Black people is the way through which the "Salvation Of The Negro" will be achieved.
We must discipline ourselves to NOT LOOK OUTSIDE OF THE BUS on the wayward and wandering trip along the way.
Obama, via his victory over the hapless Republican candidates that line up only to implode IS the best way for the Black Racial Services Machine to achieve its goal.
That goal being standing up a vessel through which "Progressive Public Policy" can be allowed to expand beyond the dimensions which the previous promises claimed would lead to a 'Strong Black Community' and instead seek a newly synergized NATIONAL order of 'Social Justice' and 'Redistributive Economic Policy' - thus we must not allow our stomachs to growl prior to November 2012. The social workers might ask to see beyond the public living room that everyone has conspired to limit her to upon her visit.
