The "9-9-9 Plan" by Herman Cain is accused of increasing the tax burden on the poor while the rich receive net tax relief.
The fact that Warren Buffet pays a lower rate of taxes than does his secretary is sacrilege. Lost in this rant is the fact that Mr Buffet has taken advantage of tax reduction that lowered his EFFECTIVE tax rates and that his income is in the form of "non-salary" sources that are taxed at a different rate.
As the indictment goes - THE RICH are allowed to prosper at the expense of the poor.
I reject this claim from the standpoint of my previous articulation of the fact that just as there is no such thing as "Hot and Cold" but "Heat and Absence of Heat". In a free society you can't "Make some one poor" or "Take his jobs away". Instead there is evidence of a system that fails to produce the "heat" of economic growth - doing so organically.
As I consume the contents of Manning Marable's book "Malcolm X " the struggle for "jobs and justice" for Black people is the underlying subplot. Blacks are seen moving from one city to the next to take advantage of opportunity in various industries - this as racism has subsided - allowing them to be considered for employment and housing.
The main flaw in the "ideological distribution theory" that I focus on the most - which has been adopted as the prevailing strategy for the development of Black America is that - as it struggles to combat "Racism!!!" (and adopts new indictments after their last set allowed them to "Win") is that it fails to adequately identify and measure the forces that stand against their interests AND the forces that have been assembled for uplift.
The negative force is considered to be amorphous and it is worthy for us to derail all critique of the agenda lest this enemy sneak up and make gains.
The greater indictment that should be made is with respect to the "positive force" and its ability to provide the thrust for uplift.
Where is the appraisal of the effectiveness at transformation after having yielded so much in support of the machine that promised to do so?
