CHALLENGE:
What do you do when you are an ideologically bigoted propaganda source and, despite your deepest wishes otherwise - the Black unemployment rate is 16.7% but the President Of The United States at the time is riding under your PROTECTION RACKET thus you are not able to respond as you would normally do?
ANSWER:
Keep Black people, who are otherwise on the verge of a "No Confidence Vote" about the situation, on the RACIAL DEFENSIVE by trickling out indictments of the enemies that you - as a Progressive-Fundamentalist operative - has in common with most Blacks - The HATRED of your ideological enemy that exceeds your hatred of:
- How Black Unemployment harms the Black Community's prosperity
- How Failing Black Schools harms the development hopes of the Black Community
- How Unsafe Communities prevent them from becoming stable building blocks
Instead you go for the TRANSACTIONAL "chum feeding" for unobservant Blacks - knowing that they will always go along with what you frame as IMMEDIATE THREATS - and never take a step back and look at the trend line of where you are taking them.
Sadly - if we look at the various "Mission Accomplished Zones" where the "racist Republicans" who think Black people are lazy HOLD NO POWER - the operatives who want the people focused on Republicans can't show evidence of prosperity. (See Newark, Chicago or Detroit).
I don't blame the operatives at Color Of Change. They are doing their job - Publishing Misdirection.
I ultimately have to blame the Black Rank & File.
In aggregate there is failure to PROTECT THE CORE CONSCIOUSNESS OF OUR COMMUNITY from these type of embedded confidence men.
There is little institutional integrity by which what we were sold for more than 50 years is CHECKED for evidence of advancement.

You are optimistic, no? Black people aren't on the verge of a no confidence vote. WE support Obama at approx. 84% still.
If you look at the stress that has been exhibited in the many jobs programs that go on around the nation, where the local news media sticks a microphone in the face of a Black person who is frustrated - this captures the unvarnished sentiment.
It is only when these same people are compelled to "put on a good face for their RACE" in defense of Obama against "the Tea Party Racists" that we see the manipulation of the numbers as you say.
The embedded confidence men who were previously skeptics about the SCALE of most presidential solutions are now lining up the Black consciousness on the left side of the line of scrimmage, having us all focused on the ball that Obama has dropped in the way of a jobs program.
They don't make the case that it proposes 2M jobs for all Americans while there are 4M unemployed Blacks in the 14M unemployed Americans.
For those who are POLITICAL operatives but not looking out for the interests of the Black community they would not only be arguing that Obama's plan is both late and insufficient - they would have to go into their local bastions of power to note that despite the power build up they have FAILED to build up an organic economic base WITHIN THE BLACK COMMUNITY.
Since this would amount to SELF-CRITICISM - those who tell Black people to not criticize the Black president because it gives his enemies permission to criticize him damned sure don't want Black people to criticize their own Black azzes.
