Are Black Progressive Advocacy Groups Acting As Transparent "Investment Advisers" - In Defense Of The Black Community's Investment Portfolio? Has Our Portfolio Grown Sufficiently Under Their Management?

Our Goal Is To Mitigate Racial Discrimination That Allows Us To.........  Maximize The Number Of Black Passengers Allowed In The First Class Cabins Of The HMS Titanic By Accepting A List Of Qualified Individuals From Civil Rights Groups For Inclusion In The "White Star Line's" Mailing List Compelling Countrywide Bank To Agree To A Consent Decree By Which No More 20% Of Their Subprime Loans Will Go To Blacks - Roughly In Line With Population Ratios Force Bernie Maddoff And Associates To Show That There Is Value In The Black Community Thus Lowering Their Minimum Initial Mutual Fund Investment Amounts Thus Allowing More Blacks To Participate  Shift Police Personnel Out Of Poor Communities Where The Community Feels They Are An "Invading Force" Over To The Wealthier White Communities As A Means Of Affirming That "A Greater Percentage Of White People Use Illegal Drugs Than Blacks" Negotiate With Korean And Pakistani Owned Restaurant Owners Into Opening Locations Within Black Communities As A Means Of Eliminating The "Food Desert"-Effect All of these bullet points have the very same flaw:  They purport to address a primie facia problem while failing to identify the foundational issue at hand BEFORE engaging in a "struggle" that delivers a fix in line with the self-proclaimed priorities of the "struggle leaders" and the joint venture partnership they are wedded to. Contrary to the graphic from "The Joint Center" GOVERNANCE is not about the quantity of Black ballots invested.  Instead it depicts certain attributes such as "structural integrity", "transparency", "checks and balances", "conflict of interest enforcement". It seems to me that today we are living in the "Mission Accomplished Timeframe" that is encapsulated in the graphic below from the 1960's.   "The Joint Center" merely has their same effort being run today in COLOR.

GOVERNANCE in the context of the Black Community would mean that the Black community would be more actively seen affirming the veracity of the above diagram - making those who told us that "Our VOTE is going to open the closed door to equal opportunity" actually worked as promised BEFORE a new round of investments are made with this claim in mind. Sorry for being a skeptic but those who took control over various "Mission Accomplished Cities" with the promises of local prosperity for Black people - DO NOT get to define the new struggle and indictment as being the denial of Public Transportation out to the suburbs so that city residents can find employment.  Instead they must be held accountable for failing to develop the promised jobs in the cities that they now dominate. The power of those who see themselves as EXECUTIVES of "The Black Agenda" and their define the narrative (and thus the indictment) is a violation of the GOVERNANCE principles of the Black Community.    It will soon become clear that they are never going to "self-indict" for the their failures from the last interval. IF the "Joint Center" was really interested in GOVERNANCE - they'd be calling some of the main operatives within "The Black Racial Services Machine" as hostile witnesses who are compelled to testify without their ability to plead the fifth. Instead I find that those same people who demand transparency in the formal government also benefit from the "insider trading" that the present void in BLACK COMMUNITY INSTITUTIONAL INTEGRITY affords them. With so many complicit actors in the congregation - their goal is to UNIFY the congregation behind the latest pass play in the football game.

The "Equal Black Ballot" has been contested for a long time.
The history books are filled with those who sought to suppress it - preventing the document filed by Black people from entering into the ballot box where it loses its racial idenity and is able to swing elections just as the "White ballot" has been able to do since the founding of this nation.

Though operative groups like the NAACP dangle stories in front of our faces about the various schemes that are a live today that attempt to strip power away from Black people - the truth is that this "threat" is dwafed by another truth that they would prefer not to talk about.

Prior to me making my argument - it is important that we all agree that "The VOTE" is a MEANS TO A PARTICULAR END.  With respect to the Black Community we hope to establish good governance through public policy and competent representation so that our hopes of:

• Safe Streets
• Quality Education
• Thriving Local Economies
• Healthy Lifestyles and Relationship Outcomes............

..........our "Permanent Interests" are effectively obtained.

If you don't agree with this then we won't ever see eye to eye in this debate.

If this is a reasonable objective to you then I have a chance of convincing you that when an operative force compels you ton focus on this METHODOLOGY (and how it might be under attack - per their viewpoint) while they carefully avoid providing transparent analysis as to how their previous points of advocacy has brought our community closer to our PERMANENT INTERESTS - that we risk being played as a community.

Instead of keeping an "accurate set of books" regarding how we have materially benefited per the DIRECT MEASURES of our permanent interests (SUFFICIENT Black graduates that then return to our community as professional service agents that allow us to obtain the desired standard of living [notice the legitimacy in the qualification of the measure as opposed to the "check lists" of what a favored politician has done for Black people that we are supposed to believe in])

The Struggle To Increase The Quantity Of   Investors Vs The Enforcement Of The Integrity Of The Investment

The two points contained in the section header immediately above are not mutually exclusive.
It is highly probably, however, that two different entities are needed because one may have a vested interest to maximize one attribute while remaining silent upon the other.

It should come as no surprise to people who follow this blog that I am focused most on the later element.

The "Mission Accomplished Zones" provide abundant evidence that even when large quantities of Black people are voiting this alone does not assure that our permanent interests are obtained.  Anyone who wanted the Sundance Channel's "Brick City" about Newark NJ should have abundant that substantiate my claim.

In the context of the local environment of Newark - where everyone that is elected is a Democrat - that incremental Black ballot added to the voting roles does NOTHING to advance the interests of the Black Community with respect to the institutions that they receive the majority of their civic services from undergirding this increase.

With the inability to deliver the promises that this local takeover was sold to the community some 30 years ago - the city had degraded into Democratic factionalism.  With the city in crisis the only thing that they were seen to agree upon is that they both support Obana.  Both sides were seen standing in line at the local arena as Obama came to town to campaign for state Demcorats.

My challenge to "The Joint Center" as they look at a Newark, Camden, Philadelphia or Chicago - with the "favorable people" in power over these cities - you having won the previous battles that you had our people INVESTED in from a few decades ago - are you compelled to do a sell-inspection as you try to find out why "your ideology one but the Black community lost"?

It appears that you are more interested in advancing your ideology than our community's permanent interests.  Thus with these allied forces in place at the local level the challenge now is to nationalize your progressivism so that which was promised as a benefit from the local takeover will now be delivered.

Excuse my skepticism as I say that I don't trust your motivations as I demand "earnest money" along the way before I take any steps forward within you in what you claim is a "Black Agenda".  In my definition a "Black Agenda" is that which is STOPPED when it fails to deliver the promised outcome.  Since you are doubling down in the face of failure there must be some other motivations that you have.

Nationalizing The Black Vote Into The Malcolm X Political Football Game Against The Republicans

Anyone who fails to see what is going on deserves to be used.
Since there is such silence on this orchestrated set of events I can only conclude that this is evidence of complicity of the operatives involved.

The thought of someone question why "good Black votes" should be thrown after bad is likely to be spun into the claims that are often heard on "Black Wing Talk Radio".  According to Warren Ballentine - any Black person who chooses not to vote VOTES for the Republicans when they do so.

In this line of thinking the Black Community Development Consciousness has been fused to the present state of the Democratic Party and Progressive politics. The job of the embedded confidence men is to incessantly repeat this claim - while getting Black people to not notice that these are not coterminious in nature.

I credit them on their skills, however.  (I said credit not respect).

1. When the mission is to unify the Black investment resources behind the Democrats their messaging into the Black community converges around this effort.  They talk about the "threat to" the Black community from the enemy rather than promote the material benefits of their past victories
2. When faced with Black grievances in "Mission Accomplished Zones" they are seen expanding the police tape rather than indicting their own.  The issue with Black public schools, for example - is NOT that the present administrators that they helped place into power fell short (along with the parents who voted by didn't follow through).  Instead we have an issue with
1. The NATIONAL commitment to education
2. Lack of state funding flowing locally
3. Standardized tests

The Black Masses are compelled to receive the slight of hand and struggle more.  No one in the messaging channel will recall the last set of promises during the previous interval and demand enumeraiton.  "Each time Blacks demand a statement for the Return On Our Investment......a little Republican Angel Gets Its Wings"

The functional result is that the "Black Struggle" becomes a "Progressive Democratic Struggle". 
Any problems that remain after the long struggle get shifted forward as something that "will be fixed in the second term" or "something that will be worse if the ENEMY wins".  Few bothered to ask if the ENEMY HAS ALREADY BEEN WINNING.  IF he is provoking Black people to continue supporting him.

Integrity Is Needed
It is clear that if the Black Rank & File don't say anyting in protection of its interests - those who are misleading him will continue doing what they are doing.  At some point we must accept the complicit position of the rank & file in that they are intelligent enough to see the results that fall short of the promises but have done nothing to affirm that they won't accept being used as such.
