The Root.com: Once kept at arm's length, the Congressional Black Caucus is a more frequent guest at the White House. That change, CBC Chairman Emanuel Cleaver tells The Root, reflects the urgency of issues like unemployment.
ANALYSIS - Of The CBC
The Congressional Black Caucus - the (purported) body of representation for all Black People in America - even those of us who don't live in one of their districts - and those Black folks who recently moved out so that their "Permanent Interests" might be actually addressed in the suburbs - is planning a meeting with President Obama.
While they are willing to talk about the grievances and distress that Black America is feeling - there is 0.00% of an inclination to attack the President Of The United States for the present conditions in which Blacks largely supported his Stimulus Package and Economic Policies for the past 2.5 years and yet still our local economics are stuck in neutral.
CBC leader Cleaver points out that there are "DEMOCRATIC" policies that he would like implemented that would provide relief to Black communities. Unfortunately these "Democratic Policies" won't make it through the US House which is Republican controlled. Upon hearing this - the logical response by many (3ChicsPolitico, for example) is that the REPUBLICANS stand against the interests of Black people because they would not support this targeted support for Black folks that the CBC desires.
Per my previous post it is required that we understand that the positions of elected power that Obama, Cleaver and every other "favorable person" is not seen as a "the bucks stop here" type of accountability in their view. Their only job is to promote "Progressive Policies" and get them past the objections of the opposition. Thus, ultimately they are not judged on the results as expressed in the vital statistics seen WITHIN the Black community. They are judged by their heart in the fight against the Republican Conservative opposition. Go down the blog links on one Black Progressive blog and make note of the magnitude of so-called "Black blogs" that speak in the voice of Obama and the Democrats - rather than holding them as DISTINCT ENTITIES.
Our Permanent Interests are the FRUIT of their progressive success. In truth the ATTAINMENT OF OUR FRUIT is evidence of the EFFICACY OF PROGRESSIVISM.
The perceived voter nullification comes as they make use of the "Black Racial Services Institution" to avoid placing "progressivism on trial" to determine its use as the exclusive and primary tool to fix our problems of TODAY.
The CBC has little to worry about. There seats and policy initiatives are not at risk with the current disposition and consciousness of the Black community of today. They are seen as "Community Representatives" and not an entity that has a given IDEOLOGY/AGENDA with other alternatives that are other there in the galaxy. The Black community's "Community Development Activism" is fused to the Democratic Party and is now 100% political. The PERCEPTIONS of our community's success ebb and flow with the success of the Democratic Party. The will to spike bad news - or blame it upon enemies while avoiding acceptance upon their own back is not an attribute of the "Moral Superiority" of Progressivism. It is strictly a function of the "congregational complicity" that is present within the Black Community.
ANALYSIS Of "The Root.COM"
More assuredly that Common and the rest of the poets who gathered at the White House last night would not challenge Obama about bombing Africa using American drones that are destroying vital infrastructure is the fact that "The Root.com" is never going to have a "hostile" interview with any "Favorable" member of the Congressional Black Caucus - challenging them in the manner of a "vote of no confidence" regarding the eroding situation in Black America -
* In Employment
* In Public Education
* In Crime Victimization
Again - they don't see the array of favorable elected officials (of any race) as THE PROBLEM which has contributed to the present situation. They see those who BLOCK the policies that they want to implement as the threat to the Black community. I note that with the debate on Medicare - regardless of what actuarial charts that show that the year 2042 (and now sooner due to our economic malaise and too few people putting money into the pot) Social Security and Medicare will experience their 'bewitching hour' during this time frame, some people are not of the consciousness to rationally accept what the numbers indicate. Instead they make the crisis out to be an issue of their ideological adversaries doing.
Even in modern day Detroit - the erosion of which has been fully documented - those who are infected with this same consciousness are vocal about the threat to their VOTING RIGHTS that this new emergency manager who has the power from the state to make dramatic changes to the city is a larger threat than was the program that they had brought into for the last 40+ years regarding the governance of the city.
Seriously - if you can't get a person of a particular mindset to be transparent over certain clear cut cases such as Detroit, Flint, Newark, Camden - how can you expect to have a rational conversation with them were politics as mapped to the real world are discussed?
They are going to always see your threat to their embedded INTERESTS but never seeing that their entrenchment is a THREAT to their PERMANENT INTERESTS - of which are being molested abundantly despite the "Mission Accomplished State".
The Root-Grio thus FAIL as a resource for accountability and "REAL" Progressive for Black America. They are tools for the "Black Racial Services Industry" - because, in fact, they are a tentacle of it.
With the short term benefit of yet another election coming up in which they will soon sit in the same seats within the White House that the CBC will sit in later today - they execute their mission of keeping the IDEOLOGICAL UNITY within the Black community and protecting the base - than they care to see that the long term interests of the Black community is to FORGE RESPECT(!!!!!!) for our interests - even from those who are sent into power based on our PURCHASE of the promises that our "Equal Ballots" - once invested will result in a payoff back at home.
With heavy coverage of every "Republican Offense" and then accusing the (racist) Birthers as the force that is DISTRACTING US from more pressing matters - The Grio-Root's pages are filled with coverage of those they say are not serious in the POLITICAL realm but they cover them because they have absolute value in the RACISM CHASING realm.
Thus it is clear that the duo of "Racial Defensiveness" (or Racial Pride Harvesting on behalf of an ideologically favorable person) AND Political Channeling are the most valuable function that The Root-Grio provide as "Racial Services" to the Black community's establishment who seek to make full use of that equal ballot for their own purposes.
If there was ever a time for a group in "The Unity Conference" to fight for their own interests EVEN to the point of splintering the group's goal of UNITY - it would be the tentacle called "The Black Press" to STAND, dogmatically for the Permanent Interests of the Black Community - yielding that while BLACK ELECTED OFFICIALS don't need to be TOLD "How Black People Think" they surely need to be given some "constructive feedback" as to how they and the rest of the tentacles of the MACHINE that is vying for POWER is failing to materially address the present needs of the Black community and that more ORGANIC FARMING is necessary to produce a more abundant harvest in the future.
I would even accept the propaganda which says "Tea Party Militia Republicans Are Giving Us Genetically Modified Seeds - We Need To Grow Own Own Seeds Locally So They Aren't Successful In Their Intent To Destroy Us". Instead the establishment would have us to fight the national distribution of GM crops, demanding that we retain the national redistribution but enforce organic guidelines. The STRUGGLE thus becomes a matter of forcing the DISTRIBUTOR to abide by the rules of ORGANICISM and who will get the federal distributor's contract- never the Black community expressing ORGANICISM upon our own backs.
