The "Open Mic Poetry Circuit" Under Obama - Republicans Are Clueless In Appraising Progressive Operatives

In the game of "political gotcha" the Fox New-type Republican Conservatives are likely well aware of the transaction.

1. They seek to find something to hit President Obama with as a means of fomenting outrage among their base.
2. The jingOists are going to make note of the "attack" upon Obama and they are going to cry RACISM as a means of thwarting any traction.

To be clear - both the present series of "petty attacks" upon Obama are meaningless and have no real political value in addressing the challenges that the average American faces AND the attacks from the left that we endured for the past 10 years when they had an enemy president were of the same character.

On the matter of the rapper "Common" - we are at a point where I expected.   The right-wing made this an offense against policemen who have honorably served the public.  The leftwing has minimized this as yet another desperate attempt by the Tea Party to express outrage that has a RACIST tinge to it.   After call "Common" is a good guy.

If the right had done more background research they would see that progressive-fundamentalists like Common who stand for "justice" for Assata Shakur are also standing for convicted cop killers Mumia "Killa Mu" Jamal and Troy "Mumia Jr" Davis.   Most of their analysis would stop at this point.

With More Thorough Analysis They'd See The Contradiction That Common Is

Beyond the mindset of Common - there is a long list of other progressive entertainers who should have this analysis applied to.  They identify themselves by their history of "Speaking Truth To Power" (per their viewpoint) and being opposed to "American Imperialism".   A sampling includes:

• Pink
• Will.I.Am
• Jay Z
• Janelle Monae 

Each of these artists released scathing commentary about societal conditions and America's imperialism - THIS at a time when they were forlorn about the leadership in America at the time and they decided to use their artistic talents to "Speak Truth To Power".    Pink and Janelle Monae sung songs called "Dear Mr President".

Fast forward to today and a person like "Common" who speaks of the "benefit" that America has received and is unappreciative after the President has "Baracked Us" should not be expected to scale beyond his own appreciating and keep his consciousness focused on the military armaments that continue to be used.

Their defacto response is to NOT TALK ABOUT IT.   

In as much as their previous artistic expressions on the subject was meant to CONNECT with their audience, providing one more artifact in the public space which gave an opportunity to those who were not otherwise aware of what is going on - to direct their energy against the THREAT - Common and others realize that if they are SILENT about these things, despite their continuance under this favorable President that it would undercut the greater mission that they now operate upon.

I imagine some book in the future which will document the RECORD EXPANSION of Blacks who have been invited to the White House - as proof that President Obama's Presidency has made "The White House" - The "People's House" once again.    In doing so they will make a list of the Black artists, political operatives, press members and elected officials that bathed in the glory of this historical achievement on RACE.

I have already documented the fact that the Progressive needs to own the INDICTMENT.   The other half of that statement is that they believe they have the right to disqualify "offenses" that they choose not to be OFFENDED over.  (ie: Assaults on Black people that would otherwise qualify as "Civil Rights Violations" EXCEPT that the assailant complicates the crime scene as a "low hanging fruit" for exploitation).

My goal is not to "Hypocrite Chase".   Often those who are scanning the globe looking for people who violate the principles that they had been selling often want to have this standard bearer to SHUT UP.  Stop hating so that we can continue our grove, unabated.  

For me - I am seeking to have these Progressive-Fundamentalists to RETAIN THEIR ENFORCEMENT - keep the regulation of the higher standards and the transparency - regardless of WHO is in power.  The difference can not be more clear.   I reject the concept of "Look At Them In The Mud With Us" as a means of justifying one's own actions.  This does not.

The truth is that the best justification of "one's own actions" is when they can be proven to be in line with your larger PERMANENT INTERESTS.

Mumia "Killa Mu"Jamal	Killa Mu is a VICTIM of a RACIST Justice System.  He is a VICTIM of Police Oppression under the Frank Rizzo Administration.  Either someone else shot Officer Faulker IN THE FACE or the "Police Tape" is stretched to the trial where the RACIST JUDGE said that he is going to "Fry That Ninja"	The Oppressor Who Got His Just Due
Troy Davis - Though I Admit Hanging Out With The REAL KILLER - He Shot A Black Man Named Micheal Cooper In The Jaw Earlier That Night - and then I stayed with him as we went to the scene in which OFFICER MCPHAIL WAS MURDERED by my good friend Sylvester "Red" Coles - the worse that you can say about me is that I HAVE BAD JUDGEMENT regarding WHO I keep company with. (Note - you should not allow this judgement to assume that with the "NAACP" and "Color Of Change" hanging with me in my corner that I still am a bad judge of character.  I am doing what I need to do to stay alive).	The "I Am Troy Davis Movement". Whereas the "Black Liberation Army" and "Black Panthers" - of which the above killers were affiliated with were organizations that existed BEFORE the murder.....the "I Am Troy Davis Movement" was formed AFTER the duo of Davis and Coles went through the streets of Savannah Georgia on their murderous romp where one man ended up dead and another man was shot in the jaw. Since it is a stretch to say that Troy West was fighting against the OPPRESSIVE police - as it is a fact that McPhail was actually coming to the rescue of a homeless man that West and Coles was rousting - these "Left-wing Injustice Activists" needed to have some other nugget to cleave on to. They have expanded the police tape and now have the police department and the court system on TRIAL. If we consider all other "Civil Rights Cold Case Murders" - (or even the James Byrd Dragging Murder) ALL PARTICIPANTS are GUILTY in the minds of the 'I Am Troy West" advocates.  But in the murder case of Officer McPhail - since there was a BODY - who was shot in the face - his teeth scattered upon the ground - they were forced to argue that the other guy - Sylvester "Red" Coles did the shooting and Davis was innocent. Again - a dead civil rights era victim - EVERYONE goes to jail. a CONVICTED "favorable person" and he is said to be denied JUSTICE - no action to have Sylvester Coles LOCKED UP. • The HERO is either fighting oppression or is a victim of an unjust police/court system
• The weight of this oppression caused him to fight back OR he is not guilty in the first place - someone else did it
• The activists are compelled to seek JUSTICE as they ignore any condemnation for "supporting KILLERS" - because the pathway to JUSTICE requires them to put blinders on to ignore people who can't see their way through this journey.

The Command In Chief Is Bombing Africa - Targeting Libya - Just As Ronald Reagan Did	Neither "Common" nor any "Black Conscious" guest to the White House would DARE disrupt the pleasantries that have been afforded them by this history making invitation to the pinnacle of POWER in America.	American Munitions Fall Upon The Motherland.  Those Who SOLD THEMSELVES As The Last Fortress Standing Between OPPRESSION and JUSTICE don't want to make a scene with the man who now has the POWER to command the FORMER COLONIALIST POWERS TO STOP THEIR BOMBING!!!  And command the US Infantry division who has the video feed from Libya that is projected back to Florida - where the unmanned drones carry out president commands on the bombing raids TO STOP!!! "The UN Authorization Of A No Fly Zone" did not include destroying hospitals and other vital infrastructure of this "Third World Nation" in Africa. Common (and other blind individuals) can't see that this PRECEDENT supported by them TODAY - for no other reason than their desire to SUPPORT THE PRESIDENT is going to be used as evidence IN THE FUTURE that these flights from Europe across the Mediterranean  are JUSTIFIED.  With Common used as a reference per the ABSENCE that appears in his "Spoken Word" on the subject.
An Unarmed Man Of Color Who Despite Being A Murdered-WAS SHOT IN THE FACE - He Was Not "WATER BOARDED" His Dead Body Was Thrown IN THE WATER From A Board That Was Lifted Up So It Could Slide Into The Sea	This is a no brainer.   Those who long have said that "They Don't Stand For The MURDERER" They Stand For JUSTICE - As they work to ensure that even the lowliest KILLERS are brought to trial - again can't see the perversion and molestation of their own principles that these series of events have exposed about them. Ironically all of the cases above involve: A Person Of Color Reacting Violently to OPPRESSION and the force of AUTHORITY that had tried to suppress their ability to fight back An AUTHORITY which was charged with enforcing the laws upon the individuals under its rule A JUSTICE SYSTEM that cared about its rules of governance in a selected manner The reaction to the killing of Osama Bin Laden showed that these principles are best used as standards to hold ENEMY AUTHORITY FIGURES to in the context of an INDICTMENT.   In a strange twist of events - those same people who saw others not lay enough alms at the feet of the Commander In Chief who ordered the interdiction into a sovereign nation and the hit on the unarmed man of color - with a buck shot to the face - and the changing narratives on what happened there after - just proved to themselves that this entire struggle IS NOT about what they have told us it ways.	Man Of Color Received A TRIAL By The Shot In The Face That Was Rendered By The US AUTHORITIES Under The Command Of A Favorable "Commander In Chief"

With the surviving members of "The Black Liberation Army" and "The Weather Underground" - no doubt possessing the same ideological consciousness as does Common and so many others in this constellation - INDEED - the infinite universe has turned in on itself.  The red tail lights of the car in front of them that they had been chasing - turns out to be THEIR OWN CAR.

THEY are now the Imperialist Oppressor, the African Colonialists, the violators of Due Process - that they once fought against.

Just as those in the gallery who defended the favorable leadership LEADERSHIP as they sought to get "The Black Liberation Army" to obey were SILENT - today Common and a large bank of Progressive Fundamentalist Performing Artists are silent about the modern Imperialist Actions - for no other reason than they like the Emperor.
