As I watch the various historical archives - filmed with black & white cinematographic equipment - I am forced to note that today we see the very same assaults upon Black people. They are just not labeled "Civil Rights Assaults".
I reported on the travail of "Civil Rights Era rapes" of Black women but not specifically on the issue of "Recy Taylor" .

The key point that we all must understand, accept and seek to CHANGE is that while the sexual assault of Black women has indeed happened over time, regardless of the standing of Black people with respect to our access to "justice" - the interplay of "racial gamesmanship" continues.
- In the past - the racist justice system ensured that the White assailant did not pay for his crime - regardless of the vocalized outrage from the Black community
- Today - while the White "Cracker Barrel" assailant who beat up a Black woman can trigger people to use this assault as the "state of race relations" - all the while a group of Black men in Cleveland Texas won't trigger any expanded consideration of RACE and the forces that bore down upon these 18 Black males triggering them to do such a heinous action.
The Avoidance Of Broader Inferences About What Was Seen In Cleveland Texas
So much of this blog is focused on how the "racial indictment" is used for ideological and political gains. When the possessor of the indictment feels that he has the upper hand on an issue - he leverages his network of 'Twitter Followers" and "FaceBook Friends" to foment a movement akin to an electronic version of 'SNCC' or 'The Black Panther Party'. "Speaking Truth To Power" via social networking affords more mass mobilization.
When it comes to shining the light on incidents that might prove to require more introspection and thus place their ideological and "joint-venture" relationships on trial - the story could not get out of the news cycle fast enough for their comfort.

The brutality suffered by Blacks in the "Post-Confederate South" was a matter of that which a "hateful culture" has fomented. The "struggle" that was initiated by our "civil rights heroes" set out to mitigate this threat with the combination of a "changed culture" and punitive action against those who didn't get the message.
As we consider the police interdiction against Street Pirates who have attacked the Black community those who had been "protecting the Black community from assault" are then hear too often "defending' their sons against the abuse from the police and the justice system. It matters not that a "favorable" person is the mayor, police chief and judge - when them having struggled to get all of them into power. They are more comfortable executing upon their "struggle milieu" than they are in putting forth a more comprehensive "human resource management plan" which makes more of the fruit from the "rites of passage" that exists in their community into fruitful seeds that are of the consciousness to perpetuate an new generation.
What is it that will ensure that we won't scrutinize the CULTURE within which these 18 young Black males were brought to their present conscious awareness?
Why didn't they project the vision of their own sister laying on the bed being assaulted?
Why didn't anyone them say "ENOUGH!!!! " Showing the least bit of connectivity with this 11 year old little girl (Damn. My own daughter turns 11 this summer.)
