CBS Radio owned "WAOK" and "WVEE" are sponsoring a private listening party at the posh "W Hotel" in Atlanta featuring singer Jenifer Hudson of News Corps/ Fox Broadcasting "American Idol" fame.
Ironically the incessant radio ads which drive contestants to call in for a chance to win tickets tot he Jennifer Hudson concert notes that the GEORGIA LOTTERY is a sponsor of the private concert.

Back In The Day:

1. Did the NAACP use the "Segregated Lunch Counter"  to cater an event - with them having to go to the back door to pick up the pans of food?
2. Did the local radio station pitch free tickets to the "Motown" concert held at the city auditorium BUT accept their allotment of tickets which had their listeners seated in the balcony because the auditorium was segregated?

This is where we stand today with the "Activists Of Leisure" who have hijacked our "community consciousness".   

I have no problem with a group of people forming a coalition to do whatever they damned well please.  I would defend their first amendment right to do so.

The thing that I resent the most is that they operate with the AUTHORITY OF BLACKNESS in all that they do.

Some Of Them Want To Be Bumpy Johnson If They Had The Opportunity

I can't take a "Negro who tries to save face", using "Congregational Complicity" to cover what does not make sense about the point that he is arguing.

The point was made several times that Black folks have been running numbers from the day we were allowed to retain money in this country.  It was ONLY until the government chose to make some money that they made this practice ILLEGAL.  

These same people are loathed to ask the question as to What Did Bumpy Johnson and others do with the proceeds that were left over between the total collected, the total paid out and the "salaries" of those who administrated the process?  Was there a scholarship created with these funds?

Now We Are Asked To Prove Our "Black Unity" With The Following:

A)  YOU HAVE MONEY IN YOUR POCKET

B) YOU PLAY THE LOTTERY, MOTIVATED TO WIN MONEY

C) YOU KEEP ALL OF THE MONEY THAT YOU WIN

D) THE MONEY THAT YOU HAVE SPENT - YOU TRY TO LAY CLAIM TO (calling it "Tax Money")

E) WHEN THE ESCALATING COSTS COLLEGE TUITION IN GEORGIA INCREASES AND "THE (RACIST) REPUBLICANS DECIDE TO CONSTRAIN THE OUTFLOW OF MONEY - YOU TRANSACT "BLACK INFERIORITY"

E0) Unlike Health Care Where The Invoices From The "Service Providers" Are Targeted For Regulation - The Government Run Education System Is Provided With More Money.  Those Who Seek To Clip The Money Flowing To The Service Providers Is Said To Be Against Quality Education.

E1) Too Few Blacks Can Hit The Required 1,200 On A 2,400 Scale For The SAT.   The SAT Is "racist" and "culturally biased"

E2) The Mandate Of 100% Scholarship For GPA From 3.7 to 4.0 And A 90% Scholarship For 3.0 To 3.69 Will Have DISPARATE IMPACT On Black Students 

F) YOU DECIDE TO "SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER" BY CONVINCING BLACK PEOPLE TO BOYCOTT THE LOTTERY - NOT GIVING THEIR MONEY FOR A CHANCE AT WINNING THE JACKPOT IN ORDER TO SHOW THE POWERS THAT BE THE "POWER OF THE BLACK DOLLAR"

G) OF THE MONEY THAT IS NOT SPENT ON THE LOTTERY - YOU KNOW THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE MUCH INFLUENCE UPON BLACK PEOPLE TO "ORGANICALLY INVEST" THESE DOLLARS DIRECTLY INTO THE EDUCATIONAL FUNDS OF "TARGETED PEOPLE".   YOU KNOW IF YOU PUSHED TOO HARD - YOU'D FIND THAT - ABSENT THE QUEST TO WIN SOME MONEY IN THE LOTTERY GAMING - YOU COULD NOT COMPEL PEOPLE TO CONTRIBUTE WITHOUT A "GAME OF CHANCE".

Did any of you really believe that after the "political activism movement" in which we were compelled to take control over the elected seats in the institutions of our community - that this success was going to have these forces of "struggle" to make note of their presence in these seats of power - and how they are not preparing our young people to COMPETE in the real world?

I wonder if our community was sent physicians and public school teachers who matriculated through their education via the standards that create "opportunity" IF these same people who now call for lowered standards would protest that the Black community is receiving "inferior" physicians and educators?  I think they call this "dog fooding"
