Attn: Georgia NAACP - Please Boycott The Georgia State Lottery!!!!

I am made to wonder if there is some oath of stupidity that the Southern chapters of the NAACP have taken?   First South Carolina and then North Carolina and now the Georgia organization are marketing "Black Inferiorist" positions.

IF ONLY the Georgia NAACP threat to boycott the Georgia Lottery BECAUSE they were going to "re-purpose" the funds that "Poor Black people now spend...............to educate the children of wealthy White people".

And I quote:  "The policies for the Georgia Hope Scholarship has shifted from ' From The Best & The Brightest To The Rich & The Whitest"

Instead a boycott would be "speaking truth to power" - bringing the intake into the Georgia Lottery to its knees and thus "no White person will get the Hope Scholarship" since the new policies are going to prevent Black people from going to college.

The only way that you can assume this narrative to be true is if you are a "Black Inferiorist".
The demands from the President of the Georgia NAACP is:

  • Lower the 3.7 GPA for 100% scholarship BACK DOWN to 3.0 (note if you have a 3.0 to a 3.69 you get 70% of the expenses paid.
  • Cap the scholarship to families that make over $140,000 in household income
  • REMOVE the (racist) SAT mandate of a 1,200 or greater - because the SAT has been proven to be racially and culturally biased and have "disparate impact" on "The Least Of These" (code word for Black folks)

A reference was made about the need to have people REGISTER TO VOTE and VOTE.   "IT WILL TAKE DISCIPLINE for us to stand together and turn this REPUBLICAN Governor out for going against our interests".

You all have no idea how much mental anguish I suffer as I realize that they never use this same reasoning to "turn THEMSELVES out of office for failing Black people".   Functionally - this would mean that a candidate has voted against himself - Not likely.

Any Of You Who Thought That Placing "Favorable People Into Power Over Our Human Resource Development Institutions" As You Where Lead To Do So In "The Struggle" Will Be Gravely Disappointed As You Should Now Realize That This Was Merely A Hijacking Of Your "Community Consciousness & Hopes"

The NAACP is merely a "Forward-Indicting Ideological-Unity Machine".
They reserve the right to tell us "WHO is hurting the interests of the Black community".  Just as the President of NAACP Georgia has indicated today on "Fight The Power Radio".................this list of assailants never seems to include THEMSELVES.

Today the "defenders of Blackness" in Georgia and beyond asked that all Black people (and non-Blacks of good conscious) join with them to PROTEST the greatest threat that they can think of to the uplift of the Black community via the receipt of education:  The proposed cuts to the "Georgia Hope Scholarship" By The Republican Governor Of Georgia, The Republican Dominated GA Legislature And A Few Democrats.

(I need to get this next part out of my system.  Please excuse me)

This Is Progressive Democrat Alisha Thomas Morgan - Former Host Of WAOK

As I explain this situation with Georgia State Representative Alisha Thomas Morgan please think about what the Black Progressive Fundamentalists did to Tavis Smiley when he dared speak out of turn.  In the case of Smiley he had the AUDACITY to assume that it is in the best interests of the Black community to "hold President Obama transparently accountable" - just like any other president.  (I will leave further inspection of this to my second edition of: "They Have Difficulty In Accepting A Black President")

A flurry of Progressive Fundamentalist local talk show hosts and fellow Democrats have been attacking BOTH the Republicans 'who stand against the interests of the Black community per their vote to HURT BLACK PEOPLE" and those Democrats who shamelessly followed along with them.

With all due respect - and as with Tavis Smiley - I have difficulty in feeling sympathy for a former "attacker" who is not being ATTACKED by the swarm that they rolled with in the past.

I will credit Mrs Morgan.  I know that her husband was at one time the leader of a KIPP Academy in Metro-Atlanta and I do not question one bit their commitment to education. In fact I applaud the both of them for their efforts in this area.

Mrs Morgan should use this opportunity to see how the "Attack Sheep Dogs" work in Georgia - as the very people who just a few weeks ago smiled at her as she caucused with them yet now she stands among the ranks of:

  • Clarence Thomas
  • Condi Rice
  • Michael Steele
She should now see that it is NOT if you are "right or wrong" but that you AGREE WITH THEM!!!

It doesn't matter that this is the faction who nearly brought Grady Hospital to a close AND who stood opposed the "Georgia Aquarium" because it required that a homeless shelter be moved to another part of the city.  These same people who cry for "Economic/Social Justice" will never admit that they almost squandered the centerpiece of the revitalization of the "Olympic Centennial Park" area and the growth in tax base that follows.

My only question is: WHO REVIEWS THEIR PROMISES AND RESULTING CARNAGE?

Back to my original arguments

Are The Public Schools That "Favorable People" Now Control Preparing Our Children For Post-Secondary Education?

Why is it that the NAACP and the Black Establishment of Metro Atlanta is attempting to convince us that the "original injury" as related to education of our Black children today is resident in the threat of cuts of the "Georgia Hope Scholarship" but not the public schools?

They appear to have the right to make indictments but escape inspection of their own works.

I am a middle class, less than $50,000.00 a year, white Georgian whose child suffers with health problems. The problems are not serious enough for him to get any government help but enough that he is required to have surgeries every couple of years. These surgeries end up costing him valuable class instruction. He currently has a 3.1 GPA, that he has struggled for. I have always made the excuse, when buying lottery tickets, that I was helping pay for my son's college. Under the bill, that is to be signed today, that would no longer be the case. I will gladly stand up with my black sisters and brothers to boycott the lottery. Its not a black-white thing...its a poor-rich thing.

Anon - this portion of your statement is not correct.

At 3.1GPA your child would receive 70% of the Hope Scholarship.

Do you notice that - unlike Health Care - as the "service suppliers" RAISE their prices there is no drive to "regulate" the invoices that they send home? Instead the GOVERNMENT is asked to increase its payout?

From a purely economic perspective - the colleges feel more comfortable in raising their tuition prices knowing that the Hope Scholarship is going to increase its payout in support of them.

NO MORE. The inflation rate of tuition is going to necessarily moderate because, indeed, such increases will mean that school is less affordable.

The one point that you (and the NAACP) is not focusing upon is the DEFINED BALANCE OF RESOURCES that are available in Hope. A progressive Democrat named Alisha Thomas Morgan looked at the numbers and said that not even an income cap would sufficiently limit the excess in payouts.

I DO support a graduated decrease in payouts based on household income increases. At $150K, for example the student should only get 75%. Income at $300 and above it should zero out.

I don't believe the Georgia NAACP should boycott the Georgia Lottery, but should garner support in a bi-partisan effort with groups who disagree with what happened to HOPE-Pre-K... in an effort to RECALL NATHAN DEAL.. The folks in Wisconsin plan to recall their Governor (Scott Walker)..

The earliest a recall effort can happen in Georgia is in JULY (Six months after Deal assumed office)

Deal is trying to bankrupt this state and in particular our public school system and the cuts to HOPE scholarships will have an affect on Georgia's black colleges...less enrollment means less money and this is a back door effort to weaken black colleges and force them to merge with larger instituions (Remmeber Seth Harp's proposal to merge black colleges in 2008?)..

Georgia has the highest percentage of African-Americans of any other state (30 percent) should STRONGLY CONSIDER RECALLING NATHAN DEAL...
