As we can plainly see - those who have a "Progressive-Fundamentalist" view of taxation will establishment progressive taxation in the domain of control where they have POWER. If and when the tax base in the particular place where they now have their "Mission Accomplished" signs is tapped to the point of anemia they will simply reincarnate the strategy which won them control over the domain in question and will scale the domain outward, winning electoral victories by attrition.
The Corollary Argument To "Low Taxation"
I am transparent enough to realize that the last run of Republican control over the federal government brought us tax cuts but not the necessary spending cuts to offset the loss of revenues. In fact spending increased under their watch. Lesson learned: If a platform does not address the complete set of challenges (spending and revenues) then the strategy is flawed. We can't cheer the legislative success of the element that the party in question prides itself in (ie: tax cuts) unless they also stand up and perform the work on the other side of the balance scale (the spending reductions).
I have stated previously that there are several means by which a people can retain their desired standard of living.
The "Nationalized Income Redistributive Policies" were focused on the "Government Track" at the time that I created this diagram above.
The use of government tax policy for an increasing amount of "social justice" policies as a result of the advocacy for targeted people points to an underdeveloped channel of charitable contributions and not just the lack of industrial/commercial trade.
Both the religious man and the secular progressive are compelled by their desire to assist the next man to give money through the charitable channel were the government policies have left a void OR where their personal ideology loaves government involvement.
I believe that we are at a point in this nation's economic condition where those individuals who stand against "progressive taxation at the confiscatory level" need to step up and get people to strengthen the charitable channels.
There are people who are desperately struggling with all sorts of financial challenges. Indeed we all have a relative standard of living that we are all desperately seeking to retain. As people get more desperate they are going to use the one thing of equal value to money in order to obtain what they have lost in the way of currency: THEIR BALLOT. When the ballot fails to make the sufficient change - they are going to take to the street in violent anarchy. This is a sign that they have no confidence in the system and no faith that others care anything about them.
I reject the notion that confiscatory progressive taxation policies is PROOF that the individuals who push for them care anything about the recipients. We only need to look at the places where these kind-hearted people have the most power to see that the greatest injury to these people is that they have failed to develop them despite controlling the institutions where they live.
Time To Step Up And Fund Charitable Organizations. Make Sure That These Organizations Develop The People And Not Just Distribute The Funds
It is time to:
- Put all of the Church Building Funds on hold
- Wait on that purchase of a new Tablet Computer until next year
- Scale back on that Summer Vacation
I, for one, plan to use the annual bonus that I will receive over the next few weeks to pay off my grandmother's high heating bill (though her house is 3 times smaller than mine - her heating bill is double that which I pay). I plan to also contribute more money to a select few 'poverty charities' which I know have credibility and integrity in the community.
For me - its not that I don't have debt to pay down. Instead I am better positioned to attract more money by leveraging my skills than these other people who I am choosing to assist have access to.
I have to give credit to the "Fight The Power Radio" rebroadcast today (President's Day) in which he highlighted the impact on the loss of government funding for "low income energy programs". The fact that I had paid my own grandmother's bill in December allowed me to relate to the situation of these other people. Luckily my grandmother has a series of grandchildren to whom I sent her checking account information out over the Internet for them to deposit money into the local Bank Of America branch in their city of residence.
I am thankful that my immediate siblings all have good jobs and stable families by which they can provide the assistance. I am also honest to see that some of the other branches of my family have made some past choices where they aren't able to help themselves, let alone my grandmother. Still the burden for our common grandmother's care is a joint obligation.
The solution is to provide the needed funds at present but to also make note of how important it is to ensure that all members of the family maximize their ability to help by retaining focus on something greater than their own selfish interests that are before them.
