The Republican Party is in control in the US House and the Georgia State Senate.
The US Republicans are seeking to cut funding to "Planned Parenthood".
The Georgia Republicans are seeking to clarify when a "gestating human being" is assigned legal rights.
Their goal of regulating abortion has been promoted as one of their top 5 legislative priorities.
Their actions will bring pride to their supporters and a "See - they can't help themselves" to their adversaries.
Abortion and Taxation Levels are just a few of the (apparently) bed rock issues that both Democrat and Republican seek to reverse the "damage" done by the other side upon assuming legislative and executive control.
Again - here is where I stand individually on the subject of abortion:
- Abortion removes a being which, if left unmolested by its removal from its nutrition source - the walls of its host's womb - would gestate into a fully formed human being
- I am averse to using the force of GOVERNMENT to regulate these intimate details of a person's body
- I far more comprehensive and effective alternative is to have the CULTURAL ENFORCEMENTS of the community that the people (woman and man) that engage in the "body fluid exchange" that begets this situation to channel their "copulation activities" in line with some GREATER PURPOSE in line with their COMMUNITY COLLECTIVE AGENDA
- As a nation we must accept that A COLLECTION OF PEOPLE are going to occasionally do things that compromise their strategic goals of development into a strong community. The only people we have control over are those who are willing to yield their self-interest to a particular set of cultural norms that are present inside of a subsection of land (communities, cities, regions) where it is dominant. Instead of using GOVERNMENT REGULATION to suppress people's actions in this area - use the more effective results in the areas that you dominate to show the organic superiority of your theories. These others will be made to see the error in their ways based upon the outcomes.
Both sides have positions that go against their core values. In the case of abortion the GOP are no fans of "Limited Government".
For me, a Black Conservator - who is a right of center Independent - I am not willing to use the machinations of government to have the female host to enforce the "value" of the child that is inside of her body.
Yes it is very much so the job of the government to ensure that the "house of horrors" situation that took place in the Philadelphia abortion clinic does not happen. That rose to the level of disrespect for the sanctity of human life.
While I reject the attempts from the left to shift the indictment of the "care for the child" from the two people who exchanged reproductive body fluid over to the greater society who "doesn't care about the child after it is actually born" - it is the job of the COMMUNITY within which these two people live to BEAR THE CONSEQUENCES of the procreation of children in "sub-optimal" conditions to field a CULTURE that channels these young people's attention toward activities that prove to be more productive, having them forebear their creation of children until both parents are more mentally, academically, financially, "familially" and spiritually ready to be parents - where value is added to these children's life experience rather than it having to over come the drama that it has entered the world into.
In the struggle between "Social Justice" (nationalized obligations) and "States Rights" (localized obligations)I choose a hybrid approach:
- Keep your GOVERNMENT off of the intimate parts of one's body
- Don't expect the GOVERNMENT to abstract you from the consequences of the behaviors that your ideological entrenchments prevent you from.
- Those who you ask commit to "redistributive policies" in support of the consequences that are engendered as you lean upon the claimed "Social Contract" that you have in common with others also have the right to have some say in their "Investment".
- The true proof of your EQUALITY is that you enact certain behavioral enforcements that mitigate your dependency on this "contract" because your organic actions bear this out
