The State Of Washington DC - Will Anti-Wal-mart Forces In The District Cause The First Lady's "Healthy Food Initiative" To Bypass The District Retaining The "Food Deserts"?

Please recall my previous observation of the "Confluence Of Homogeneous Forces" - where the supplier is the consumer.   A situation where "the tail lights that you chase that appear in your windshield is actually the back of the car that you ride in" as your infinite universe as wrap around itself.

OK - long story short and removing the cryptic riddle - The POLICY PREFERENCES that you support have CONSEQUENCES that you must content yourself with as YOU sponsored them.

When the demand for a pay raise by the transit union in support of their efforts to retain their desired standard of living come at the cost of more expense on the backs of the "working poor" who are consumers of the public transportation services the union workers provide.  A vapor lock in their common ideology exists.   Fortunately there exists an EXTERNAL set of resources that, in theory, both of them can join hands and make demands against.  The infusion of government revenues in the name of "Redistributive Policies" forms the basis of their permanent struggle.

If we consider the case in "The State Of Washington DC" things are not so easily solved.

I will go beyond the transaction and focus upon a bigger picture, noting a pattern.

Over time I have pointed out how the key to the development of various economies in Africa reside with the SUPPLY CHAIN.  The Chinese today are doing in a more agreeable manner what the European colonists did at the barrel of a gun - Organize the Supply Chain for goods and services inside a particular landmass.  When Cecil Rhodes desired to build a railroad "from Capetown To Cairo" he did not envision a "high speed bullet train for PASSENGER travel".   The primary use of the rail network was to move GOODS around the continent, unfortunately - mostly for export of these materials in their raw, unprocessed form.

When Idi Amin took over Uganda and gave all Indian and Chinese merchants a certain deadline to exit the country or - he would not be able to insure their safety there was a flaw in his outlook.  You see - most of the "least of these" in his nation looked disparagingly though the plate glass window of the store of the foreign merchant who they were forced to purchase goods from.  They saw the goods on the shelf and how much they needed them as consumers.   After the take over - a "favorable person" now sat in the seat of the merchant but the store shelves went bare in due time.

You see they focused on RETAIL - the end point of the "Supply Chain".   The main failure of the Amin government was due to its incompetence in understanding and managing the SUPPLY CHAIN
  • The Wholesale Distribution System
  • The Transport System
    • Railroads
    • Highway Network
  • The Commodity Finance System - to protect producers from market fluctuations
  • The Warehouse System
  • The Canning Process for the preservation of foods
The insertion of "favorable people" into the INSTITUTIONS of power does not translate into TRANSMITTABLE POWER unless there is a proper understanding of how the MACHINE works.

The Idi Amin Of The State of Washington DC

If you listen carefully to the words of the rap song on the web site above you hear them arguing against an INSTANTIATED FORCE.  They their main indictment is that "Wal-Mart discriminates against female employees in their compensation".   The court system will appraise this fact.

What they will never be made to inspect, however, is in the 8th Ward streets the "anti-matter" that exists called the BUSINESS WHICH ARE NOT PRESENT to discriminate against anyone or "exploit their labor".

There is a curious attribute of a particular ideology in which it targets ONLY "living breathing creatures" while failing to look at the carcasses that are abundant - no longer a threat for they have sucked the life out of them.

I challenge the "Wal-Mart Free DC" group who now have a FAVORABLE GOVERNMENT and have control over the DC schools to FIELD AN EFFECTIVE ALTERNATIVE.    In doing so - they should also mandate that their supporters ACCEPT the (lower) pay rate that their scheme will no doubt be forced to offer them.

We simply cannot continue to allow an IDEOLOGY to grasp hold of the ESTABLISHMENT and then DENY their "Establishment Power".  Always the vanquished who struggle against the threats that register upon them.  Never the prevailing force who is responsible for the results that are had.

The unintended "benefit" of these large distribution firms is that GOVERNMENT POLICY is more easily enforced though a single interface of management controls.   The attempt to implement such policies through the channels of 1,000 entities - each with their own management mindset and competencies to execute it effectively would be a greater challenge then the Wal-Mart CEO instructing his INSTITUTION that this is the new official priority for the corporation.

He put his mandate into an e-mail and sent it out to the "All-Employees" distribution list.  The Anti-WalMart crowd were forced to make a rap song.  They didn't even put any embed codes for me to syndicate their message.  :-/
