The Misalignment Between The "Civil Rights Pharisees" And What Is Happening On Our Streets

You probably do not have the Flash Player (Get Adobe Flash Player Here) installed for your browser or the video files are misplaced on your server!

When it comes to the church many people observe that the main people who need to be inside of the edifice so that they can "get the spirit" are instead scattered outside, in close proximity, but too far from the air conditioned comfort within. If we take this same model and apply it to the ultimate relevancy of the political and civil rights forces within our community there is a high level of correlation.

To be clear - I have no problem with the NAACP - as long as it does not represent itself in some official capacity with respect to the Black community. I think that we all can agree that it has yielded all pretense that it has a transparent agenda of advancing our community's interests against ALL threats, regardless of their proximate and ideological origins. They are an entity that exists in the paperwork that exists at the Secretary of State and the IRS. Indeed it is the entire community's obligation to apply pressure to insure that good governance principles and justice is rendered within our community and the greater society.

In as much as the video regarding the celebration of the Emancipation Proclamation also contains elected officials and members of the "Concerned Black Clergy" they all insert themselves into areas of conflict that fit their bailiwick then it is legitimate to make note of their silence regarding assaults upon Black people which are disqualified due to the assailant's attributes which make him "non-interesting" to their agenda.

The obligation is upon our community to more effectively mitigate the chaos that is running rampant around us. (With the news on in the background - a triple murder in Clayton County. The year 2011 is starting out in a particularly violent and bloody manner).

I post these videos for no other reason than to thwart the narrative from the establishment. My observation of "Democracy Now" and other left-wing activist magazines shows that the establishment must have a mirror held up to it so that its character can be tested as it cleaves to its claims toward moral authority.

Ironically nothing that I am doing is counter to their STATED goals - "Advancement" of the Black community. The counterpoint that I offer is that there are COSTS that are borne by our community as a result of their choice to invest priority focus upon issues that are POPULAR and/or which minimize the number of internal toes that are stepped upon. Those subjects that are most impactful against our interests must also be confronted.
