If asked who would they prefer, Obama or the White republican, what else would they say?Let's walk all of the nodes of the political establishment in Chicago IL just before the results of the 2010 Midterm elections took root.
- There is no "White Republican" as the Alderman representing the South Side Of Chicago
- There is only one "White Republican" in the 50 member board of Aldermen. 49 Democrats check him
- The mayor of Chicago is not a "White Republican"
- The school board rep who represents the Southside of Chicago is not a "White Republican"
- The school board that controls CPS does not have a "White Republican majority", noting close at all
- The Cook County board member representing the Southside of Chicago is not a "White Republican"
- The State Representative is not a "White Republican"
- The Illinois House does not have a "White Republican" majority
- The State Senator representing the area is not a "White Republican"
- The Sate Senate is not a "White Republican" majority
- The Governor is not a "White Republican"
- The Lt Governor is not a "White Republican"
- The Secretary of State is not a "White Republican"
- The US Representative in the Southside is not a "White Republican"
- The US House does not have a "White Republican" majority (again prior to the Nov 2010 elections)
- The two US Senators from Illinois are not "White Republicans"
- The US House does not have a "White Republican" majority
- The President Of the United States is not a "White Republican"
It should be clear by now that such a question that is asked requires COMPLICITY by both the "asker" and the "receiver" with both of them knowing intimately the "code words" that draw upon the other.
You see while they are able to make a successul indictment against their ideological enemies - the long listing above shows that THEIR PREFERENCE, placed in total power - STILL does not assure their streets will be paved with gold.
In truth what we have is complicity in the agreement to not demand that the "favorable people in power" DELIVER what we yielded our confidence to them to produce.
The question asked to Black people: "Would you rather have Barack Obama (a Progressive Democrat) or a "White Republican" (conservative)" is proven to be an IRRELEVANT question when the intention is to focus upon the "competency development" of our community. Those with the power tell us "how much more work needs to be done and thus our unity is required".
Those who see the need for a more effective management overlay will work to "put all operatives outside our community consciousness domain", out to the periphery and force them to vie for our loyalties based on their absolute production.
