Where is Progressive-Fundamentalist Michelle Alexander when you need her?
It seems that while it is a grand honor to advocate against the "injustices" of the "American INjustice System" when a Street Pirate shows a lack of appreciation for all that was done to remove him from the Prison Industrial Complex the words said in "A Soldier's Story" are made true:
When a person who lives an "I Don't Give A What" lifestyle is allowed free on his own recognizance - returning back into the society - the authority figure who failed to practice due diligence in inspecting the propensity of this individual to feed upon the unguarded civility of others in the community - the authority figure who so abstracted their THEORIES on JUSTICE from the realities of the Street Pirate's rap sheet should be made to pay something akin to a BOND. Pay - not with MONEY but with a usurpation of their CREDIBILITY to diagnose the character of the individual AND failure to set up enough controls to prevent him from committing another slashing attack.
Sadly these type of controls should have been instilled into his consciousness during his formative years.
Failing this process - as time has long past - sufficient mechanical and human restraints are required.
