Just as the US Army Corps of Engineers seeks to capture a river system in a scale model so that they can achieve a certain level of flood control as they apply the science of fluid dynamics to an accurate representation of the real world - so too can we model the behavior of human beings. Some of you don't think that there is much correlation between the behavior of a corporation and that of a "community" (race). You would be wrong to assume that.
Though it is true that there is a greater command and control system present within a corporation or formal organization (and you can't get 'fired' from your race - despite earning the need to be so because of one's actions against their interests) - they are merely a group of people working together to achieve a certain end. Who would argue that this is NOT the case as we look at the political antics that are see under the auspices of "the Black Agenda"?
Sadly the science of management seen in business is not formally adopted within our community development activism. Or when there is evidence of it, far too often it is used for the primitive level of "mind control" where you either agree with the group or you are marginalized outward.
I recently watched four episodes of "Brick City". This is the documentary series based upon all of the drama that is going on in the city of Newark New Jersey. If you thought "Street Fight" (the documentary showing the election battle between incumbent Mayor Sharpe James and upstart Cory Booker) was good then "Brick City" puts "Street Fight" to shame. This is an excellent series and should win awards - AND be mandatory viewing at:
- The NAACP national convention
- The BET Awards
- The Hip Hop Action Network
There are few other recorded features that do a better job capturing the massive cavern between "Black Political Activism" and the actual conditions in the lives of Black Americans. Once again - there are organized threats against the Black community that lead to our murder, molestation and assault........that will not appear on "The Rachel Maddow Show", that Tim Wise will not register as greater threats than is "White Supremacy" and that the NAACP will be motivated to stop chasing after words said from a talking greeting card and instead assume "human resource management" control where it counts the most - where Black people are actually being killed.
You probably do not have the Flash Player (Get Adobe Flash Player Here) installed for your browser or the video files are misplaced on your server!
"I Am Martin Luther King Jr........And Barack Obama"
The strangest element of "The Bricks" that fortified my observations of the great hijacking of the Black community consciousness that the "American Political Domain" offers up to us was shown in the episode of "Brick City" which detailed the city council fight over the "Central District" of Newark.
There were two key candidates (within a larger field of candidates). One who was the archenemy of Mayor Cory Booker the other who was the endorsed candidate of Booker's. While the anti-Cory Booker registered scathing attacks upon the incumbent mayor - they both came together once we shifted the context from the local affairs up to the national - they both strongly supported then candidate Barack Obama for president. Did someone get the license plate of that truck that ran over me? Welcome to the world of political realities in Black America.
I have yet to understand how one can claim fundamental policy differences with one's LOCAL enemy and yet total commonality in support of candidates who are outside of the scope in question. What did both Bell and Booker see in President Obama that could prove to be distinguishing features about their local governance?
ANSWER: NOTHING!!!!
This is not about any "policy" or political theory differences between Bell and Booker. This is only about "Black Democratic factionalism" at work.
The very same "Democrat on Democrat" disagreements can be found:
- On the Atlanta City Council
- On nearly every Black majority school board in Metro Atlanta
- On the Philadelphia City Council
- On the Yeadon PA City Council who's "Democrat on Democrat" stalemate shut down the city
- In the dueling battles between Michael Eric Dyson who supported Obama versus Marcia Dyson who supported Hillary Clinton
In the case of the Dysons - at the end of the article they both agreed that whomever the eventual Democratic nominee is they would be better for the Black community than any Republican that showed his face having won the Republican primary process. This is why I call the "Democratic Primary" the "General Election for Black people". Once the intra-party fighting has settled - the entire Black establishment machine focuses in on getting the Democrat elected.
I am not here to promote the need for Black people to diversify our votes between parties. Go check out Lenny McAllister the "Republican who is Black" for this.
Instead my goal is to hold up Newark and other "Mission Accomplished Districts" as evidence of the VICTORY that the Black Political Establishment and the complicit Black rank & file have hoisted upon our communities. The picture that is painted based on the promises made before hand is streaked with tears of continued grievances. The water color paint is now streaking down from the weight of gravity's draw upon the tears that flow.
The Black Ideological Bigot Shows His Face
I am forced to give Mayor Cory Booker credit. As I juxtapose my personality in the face of scathing criticism and curse words said at a public forum I could not be so polite. The angry citizens who are barraged by the terrorism waged by Street Pirates lob spit upon the mayor and the local government while they are unable to see their own failures in preventing the potential "upstanding citizens" who were born in the form of a Black male baby from morphing into the "Street Pirate" that now terrorizes their community. Again - Rachael Maddow/Tim Wise will NOT be reporting on the internal and organic dysfunction that allowed this HUMAN RESOURCE to start attacking his own interests within his own community. If there is no indictment to be registered against the nation - they will punt, to the delight of most Black Progressives who do not want them to label Black people as "criminals" by focusing on the crime within.
The video clip of deposed New Jersey Poet Laureate Amiri Baraka encapsulated the conflict that is depicted in the lower two boxes of the diagram below. In this intramural fights in the Black left - one side represent the "Old Guard" and the other as the "Neo-Progressives". The Old Guard obtains their present power by making references to the period to which the White Supremacists seek to "Turn The Clock Back To". They escape being called bigots in line with their White conservative counterparts because their "hatred" is IN-ORGANIC. It is "hatred" cast in response to "hatred" that was put upon them by the "White Supremacist" - thus their hatred is justified. The White Supremacist is the original source. His is organic.
The Old Guard civil rights activist struggles against the "Neo-Progressives". These upstarts are "establishment progressives" in that they are attached to the Democratic Party machine and the machine based spoils system that flow from it. The Old Guard while being "Democratic Party loyalists" in their fight against the "White supremacists" in the Republican Party claim to have avoided "selling out" to the Democratic Party - folding their "Strong Black" disposition in with the party mechanism. They see the "Neo-Progressives" as having "sold out", albeit to the Democratic Party.
The Police director was correct in his suspicions about the people who doggedly protest against his police forces "inaction" despite the successes recorded have an ulterior motive.
