Does Your "Economic Development/Sustainment" Strategy Key Upon Competency Development or Indictments?

The present debate over 'Tax Cuts For The Rich' and the extension of unemployment payments has triggered yet another attempt to model the behavior of what I see as the most dominate ideological force within Black America - the progressive-fundamentalist.

I am actually envious of the talents that editorial cartoonists have.  Since I don't have any drawing skills these models that are derived from my business application in the real world will have to do.

If you notice one thing about the majority of the models that I produce - the TIME SERIES is omnipresent.   There is an active use of the past to influence today's political situation for better positioning tomorrow.  Please be clear - this is not a trick exclusive to progressive.  Conservatives make heavy use of this slight of hand as well.

But again - what is the name of THIS blog?   "Politics, Policy, Pathology and Hope WITHIN The Black Community".  Thus I have my primary focus on the forces that sculpt the prevailing conscious viewpoints and see to retain the unity per their agenda.

The Present Debate On Redistribution Of Private Property As A Display Of Valuation Of Equal Human Beings By The Rich Versus The Needed Appraisal Of The Effectiveness Of The Progressive's Human Resource Development Strategy

Let's move beyond the transaction of the latest bucket of "squid and feeder fish" that has been thrown in the water of each side to feed upon.  (Otherwise known as "self-chumming").   Sadly, for many people their propensities to limit their view on what is placed directly in front of them as a lure (and their associated ideological entrenchment) prevent them from backing up and considering a larger schematic of where they reside?

The present tax policy debate provides a perfect platform to do such a big picture analysis beyond the transaction.

We are asked to weigh in on our valuation of struggling people based on our willingness to agree that rich people who have excess should be willing to agree to allow the government to take more of their private property that is in the form of money and redistribute it to those who are in need.   The primary indictment is that "the rich" who see such suffering and are unmoved to allow the government to adjust the tax tables in "Turbo Tax", having them to pay more money into the federal treasury is evidence of their heartlessness and corrupt souls.

You can be sure that a "Remember The Alamo" moment is being erected as, come 2012's election cycle the voters will be asked to "remember who helped you when you were in need".  Or as President Obama told a group of Hispanics: "Punish your enemies".

If you ever wonder how the sliding scope of indictment that I talk about frequently is enacted - look no further than this set up.  This sliding scale documents how the institutional seats that the activists used to protest against "back in the day" because of their failings of the community now are walked past as seats that are higher up in the architecture of our government are pursued.  These new seats just happen to be occupied with ideological adversaries.

This fact points out one thing to me:  This AIN'T about "managing and leveraging key institutions that are under your control from past conquest to express the ends that you desire".  This is only about operating an "ideological blood sport" - using ideological fissures as the centerpiece of the perpetual political motions for the nation.

Black Unemployment Rises To 16%
Few people are inclined to make note that despite their previous victories per where they put their focus upon - they have "lost" in that their focus was an element of what is popular to them per the conditioning that they carried prior to the decision point.  The results that they are obtaining that fall short of their expectation should serve as evidence of the need for a more scientific based approach that makes us of sold management practices as a needed course correction.

Recall several months ago that upon listening to educational activist Marian Wright-Erdelman speaking about the state of our public schools and questioning the commitment of the nation in fixing them I noted that the same words could have been replayed from 30 years ago but Mrs Erdelman would have been talking to the local school board that she was standing outside of, demanding admission into the seats of power.   It was lost on most people that "her side" has WON their struggle to enter and control these local institutions but now she is on yet another expansionary trek.

Yesterday as I watched Ed Gordon's BET weekly program as he interviewed singer John Legend's educational activism I noted something similar.   With the enemy turned out of power (Bush) the struggle to educate Black kids is measured by a "checklist" of "What have you done to help" BUT NOT the question of "Whatever you did .......DID IT ACTUALLY WORK"?

The appeasement of "good intentions" trumps most questions of actual effectiveness.   Those who display their hearts to the children but reserve their indictments for the EXTERNAL forces that allow them to "starve in ignorance" are lauded as humanitarians.

But wait - what about the "adult managers" who are directly in the eco-system that these children receive their imprints upon the world?
  • The mother?
  • The father?
  • The adults in the extended family?
  • The adults that define the boundaries in the community?
  • The adults who administrate the schools?
How is it that these people are not to receive indictment and harsh rebuke for the results lest they get pissed and tune out to the needs of THEIR children in close proximity to them?  Why is it that the "evil rich" who are asked to fund any shortfalls in these places can be spat upon without concern of their feelings in-kind?

Why is it that we asked "the rich" to prove their valuation of the equal humanity of these, "the least of these", but that same steadfast demand is not placed upon those who must incubate the consciousness of these young jewels - in an upclose and personal manner?

We can look at the array of promises made:
  • In The Academic Domain (Preparing Our Children To Become Professional Service Agents For Our Community's Uplift)
  • In The Economic Development Domain (Jobs, Prosperity, Enhanced Infrastructure)
  • In The Public Safety Domain (Safe Streets, Reduced Feelings Of Terror In Our Homes)
  • In The Political Domain (More effective representation of our issues as a prelude to mitigating them)
These are the points that we were SOLD as a pretext for retaining the confidence of our unelected leaders/activists  and the promotion of these voices into elected seats of power in the government, business and education.

While this array of individuals spread into the hostile territories and made their imprint upon these institutions making them consider our perspective as a people - the truth remains - once we go onto the streets and dispassionately look at the effective results - the pathway that they have taken us has not mitigated the problem in a comprehensive fashion.

In response to these shortfalls, as many of the original conditions remain, is to continue the indictment against the external adversary who's SYSTEM still ensnares us and to double down - TRYING HARDER in the same political domain while retaining the ideological encampment and the methodologies that flow from it.

When it comes to VALUATION - why is it that we don't hear the same indictments that fly against those who reside externally but appear not to care being used against insiders?
  • IF you care about the people in question - why would you allow their minds to be indoctrinated by destructive messages?
  • IF you care about the people in question - why don't you teach them of the value of TIME and the "opportunity costs" of failing to do so?
  • IF you care about the people in question - and you see that sound male/female relationships are the cornerstone of a society - then WHY do you attempt to make the case that "sexual freedom" is superior to bondage within social structures defined from antiquity?
  • IF you care about the people in question - and you see that MONEY is a powerful ingredient toward their development - then WHY do you use the government to forcibly take people's money beyond a reasonable point of contributions but you do not go to the Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target and Costco to challenge people who have a greater vested interest in your community about their DISCRETIONARY SPENDING that is exiting the community?
If there was ever a time to apply the notion of "PEOPLE over PROFITS" it is now.  This phrase is used against corporations and selfish tax payers but never upon "the least of these" in which they are asked to use MUTUAL AGREEMENT as their source of "socialism" instead of using the government as a transfer agent.

If they were to look around they'd see that we have people with a "merchant middle-man culture" living amongst us in our society that are leveraging notions of "cooperative economics" as they supply our retail needs and collect funds during the transaction.

IF one's claim to "value the people" is a sound one - why can't they make this case by pointing to their INTERNAL elevation of "the least of these" instead of their moral indignation against those who are superior?
