Cam Newton Cleared By The NCAA
Cam Newton of Auburn University is an amazing football talent. There has not been a dominating player coming up through the ranks with raw talent since Michael Vick. This past weekend he lead an amazing comeback against intrastate rival Univ of Alabama.
Unfortunately trouble seems to follow Cam Newton in a way similar to Michael Vick. After playing for the Univ of Florida he was charged with a felony for receiving stolen goods. (A laptop computer). He withdrew from UofF and went to a junior college. He lead Blinn College to a championship.
He is now back at a big name school where he is working his magic on the field. He is in contention for a Heisman Trophy. The one thing preventing him from winning is the recent scandal had by Reggie Bush. Bush recently returned his Heisman when the truth about his "under the table payments" received in the form of gifts directed to him and his family (a house) were exposed.
Cam Newton has a father who did not respect the rules of the NCAA and allegedly offered up his son to another school for a cash benefit. Cam Newton, the son, was cleared of any wrong doing. The investigation into his father continues.
If all goes right for Cam Newton he will be a multi-millionaire in the NFL (the lockout not withstanding). He needs to learn from Michael Vick and have his corrective epiphany before having to suffer the pain which forces him to stay out of trouble and take his craft more seriously.
