Throwing An Egg At "Lowery Blvd & Boone Blvd" Costs A Teeen His Life At "The Most Deadly Intersection In The ATL"

AJC: Halloween prank turns deadly; teen shot, killed after suspected egging

"The Most Deadly Block In Atlanta" lives up to its billing as such.

Rev Joseph Lowery and the rest of the "Civil Rights Pharisees" did not kill this 17 year old male over what ever situation that transpired which invovled an egg.  I am not indicting anyone other than the individual who pulled the trigger as he felt that this young man's life was worth less than whatever harm to his personal property that the contents of the egg represented.  And I am only speculating about the part that the egg played in the murder.

The part that I am able to justifiably bring these "Civil Rights Pharisees" into the picture is in relation to the grand sales scheme that the Black community within this area were sold regarding the steps necessary to reduce the violence and dilapidated condition on too many of these streets in this general area.

The problem is that the people were sold a "paint job" as a fix rather than a system which included the change that THEY would have to make fundamentally in order to have their community become as safe and productive as they desired.

  • Years ago the street signs of the "Confederate Generals" were taken down.  The "Civil Rights Pharisees" leveraged the new "power" that now resides now in city hall to place the names of "Black Heroes" upon the street signs.   No longer would they look up and see the names of their "oppressors".  With the confidence of seeing "themselves" upon the signs the community would become healed.
  • A few weeks ago Rev Joseph Lowery kicked off a "Green Streets" initiative by which the street that now bears his name would be kept clean from one end to the next, triggering pride in the community from the young people

As much as I like Rev Lowery as a personality I am forced to seek additional council regarding what is necessary to "clean up" these streets - particularly in this area.    There has been too many occasions in which BLOOD has been spilled on the these streets and required a fire house and some cleaning products to wash away the awareness of what has transpired.

THIS is the more frequent use of the proverbial fire hose today despite the fact that the electioneering of Rev Lowery and Rep Lewis chronographically have us to believe.  Every two years we are asked to "turn back the clocks" and imagine the fire hoses and police dogs from the past.  Never are we told about the places today where "favorable people" now command where those fire hoses and police dogs are deployed in 2010.

This one tragic story at the corner of "Rev Joseph E Lowery Blvd and Rev Joseph E Boone Blvd" will not trigger a revolution within this community.   A protest march won't even be conducted.

This situation won't be fixed by the symbolic images that a protest march conveys to those who the people united as a group "speaking truth to power" seek to convey.  This only works against external entities and principalities.

This problem is INTERNAL.   It is centered upon the process by which an "equal human resource" that should have been placed on a track by which he became a "pillar of the community", DEFENDING it from all attacks and instead left to morph into a "Street Pirate" - the #1 assailant against the key interests of the community.   The community's resources (and the external government's resources) are thus exhausted on regulating this assailant, limiting his ability to do more damage to the community and thus rendering the very same resulting state of fear and terror into the community of Black people that Rev Joseph E Lowery and Rev Joseph E Boone stood up against several decades ago.

I challenge Rev Joseph E Lowery and the power brokers within this community to actively promote their desire to see their names that are commissioned on the street signs REPLACED in 30 years by the new crop of community builders that allow these community's to prosper in this time when there is a clearing in the hostilities from the classic enemies that they are heard lending their "voice overs" to in various campaign ads.

The greatest tribute that the local Black radio stations could provide this deceased young Black man is to pull the political advertising that is enjoying rampant air play, suggesting that Black people express LOCAL "voter nullification" as they LOOK PAST the local affairs in their own communities and instead NATIONALIZE their voter support in line with their party.

No other Black Blogger is enumerating the COSTS to the Black community for being complicit with this hijacking.

IF you think that I am "using" this unfortunate circumstance for political purposes.  Sit tight - while you focus on me and my "questionable" motives - the Street Pirate that you have not figured out a set of words that will regulate his behavior will continue to prove that he "DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK" and is not trying to live up to any of your standards.

I didn't ask you to vote Republican as a means of a protest vote.  I am not a Republican.
I only asked that you stop allowing yourselves to be used - made to believe that certain issues that are not within the "American Political Domain" can be solved by "Voting Harder".
There is no worse OUTSOURCES than has harmed our communities than the squandering of the duty to manage our own communities by offering this obligation over to the police and social services organizations.

AJC Story
A teen boy is dead after being shot repeatedly Sunday night by a motorist whose car had just been egged.

Atlanta Police Maj. Keith Meadows said investigators believe the victim was 17-years-old but don't know if he was even responsible for the egging. "He might have just been an innocent bystander," Meadows told the AJC late Sunday.

The shooting occurred on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard near the intersection of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard around 8 p.m. Sunday, APD spokeswoman Kim Jones said. The teen victim died en route to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Police had received a call about the egging and dispatched an officer who was monitoring the area, Meadows said. But the officer was re-routed to another incident after four or five minutes. After he left, the suspect returned, firing 10 bullets.

Witnesses described the shooter as a bald man, between the ages of 19-and-24, last seen driving a gold, four-door Mercedes 190E with a red, temporary tag. Meadows said police hope to locate additional witnesses who fled the scene after the teen was killed.

This event has nothing to do with the Politics of Black folks..Please connect the dots when they should be connected...

Your need to indict Black folks is over the top for example the criminal behavior of a single person does not mean the entire community is suspect

Of course YOU have a higher threshold before you will accept the linkage.

The truth is quite obvious when the entire package of antics are considered.

You are lulled into looking at this from a TRANSACTIONAL perspective and thus try to reject this.

I am looking at this from a holistic perspective as I look at those who lead the charge POLITICALLY with regard to voting as they claim to be protecting our community from THREATS. Yet when it comes to incidents - they highlight racial threats with respect to Whites and Conservatives. They seek to not talk about the key problems that plague our community the most.

This is about that CONFIDENCE MAN who seeks to play this dual role.

While they are seeking to nationalize the Black vote so that we don't punish those who are failing us they provide the grounds for the BENIGN NEGLECT that transpires which foments this situation.

IF a White man with a Confederate flag on his truck was the gunman, Thrasher - you would then see how correct I am based on the reaction from these larval agents within.
