People, there is a problem that is right in front of our faces. The pattern of evidence is unmistakable. The problem causes great harm to the interests of our community. It upsets delivery of the promised benefits that we were to receive from our unified support.
The fact that "others" do it to is not an explanation or a justification of the actions in question.
Is it possible that the assured "UNIFIED SUPPORT" IS a part of the problem?
Does a person who believes that he has a "solid" from the community also get tempted to take advantage of the knowledge that the masses will have his back, regardless of what he does?
With the number of conspiracy theories that go around in our community - RACISM CHASING being the biggest one - is it possible that the very same pattern that I note will be cast as a more "sketpical eye" put upon the Black official, seeking to tempt and ensnare him so that no more of "his kind" will set foot in the office over the long run.
IF this is your theory then why didn't you tell this person that you unified around to "watch his back"? That the amorphous "THEY" that chases after every Black person who seeks to organize and empower Black community are seeking to knock him off of his power pedestal. That he must remain vigilant against all of the interlopers seeking to take him down?
